I intentionally waited for 1.5 months before writing this review to ensure that there were no issues after my visit, and I am delighted to report that there were none! I recently purchased FIRESTONE FIREHAWK INDY 500 tires and entrusted Firestone Complete Auto Care in El Cerrito with the installation. To my surprise, my tires arrived at the auto shop ahead of my scheduled appointment. I arrived at the shop at 7 a.m. and informed my service advisor, Alex, of my tire installation needs, along with a request for tire alignment services. The entire process went off without a hitch. I was in the shop by 7 a.m. and back on the road around 10:30 a.m. I believe it was Marko who handled the tire installation and alignment services, and he did an outstanding job.

I had an appointment there for a flat tire. It seemed ok at first but then it got weird. They went ahead with a "complimentary" free inspection and did a super aggressive hard upsell for stuff that wasn't needed (the vehicle is two years old and has everything taken care of at the dealer). They also have the TV really loud in waiting area because, get this, that is how they protect their other customers information from everyone else who might want to sit down while waiting. They fixed the flat tire (I haven't really checked but I hope). They somehow disabled some vehicle automation which I guess is minor in the grand scheme. I had to pull over at some point and deal with that. Here is the worst part. They left the oil dipstick sticking out and when I found out a couple of days later, oil had spattered out and made a mess of the engine and needed to be topped up. Also the break fluid reservoir cap was loose, thankfully it hadn't completely fallen off. I am now realizing that they are also calling me on my work number with promotions. Never again.

I took my car for a rotation and balancing and after waiting three hours they told me that my car was going to be ready in 45min. Then they lifted my car and took the tires off. The 45min passed and nobody was working on my car. I asked to reschedule my appointment because there was only one guy working while most of them were on a lunch breach. The guy put my tires back without rotating them. At the end they charged me $$$ and my tires were not rotated. When I asked the front desk guy what they were charging me for, he said that it was because I canceled the service, but still I had to pay for it, even though it was not done.

I came in to potentially get my tire patched up/replaced after finding a screw in my tire. When I got there, Alex was outside and came to greet me. When I explained my situation, he explained to me how he was going to check my tire and the different scenarios that may happen. Thankfully, after removing the really small screw and inspecting my tire, Alex informed me that my tire was still in good condition and checked the rest of the car’s tire pressure to make sure everything else was okay. While I didn’t have to get my tire replaced today, I would definitely come back to get my car checked out here the next time my car needs some maintenance and work done.

It may be the most amateur and worst place I have ever seen. I waited for a total of 5 hours and came here just to change a tire. I do not recommend it to anyone and this place really does not deserve to be open.

The gentleman that was at the front desk that helped me get registered for the service and the mechanic were awesome. I was having the roughest day. I had my car jumped 3 times until someone told me that my 12 V battery was completely dead. I believe I made it there a little after 5 o’clock and they still were able to see me and replace my battery. Those two are awesome. I live almost an hour away and if I have any issues with my car because of their service, I truly wouldn’t mind driving all the way back to this location.
