I drove down from Wisconsin without noticing that my AC drain was clogged & leaking water into the car. Called Firestone in the afternoon, they got me in the next morning to unclog the drain and get everything working again in 90-degree weather. Very professional service, they were helpful in asking the service guys for advice on the car cleanup moving forward. Greatly appreciated the help in an unfamiliar location.

The staff was friendly is the only positive thing I have to say! Other than that, what should have taken 30-45 minutes took 2 days due to employees not only not following directions, but also breaking parts of my vehicle, than them needed to be repaired also. Which they repaired free of charge, however never should have been broken. And even then, after getting my car back the following day, I get home and realize they loss 2 of my tires that were brought in to be removed, but replaced them with other tires and one of them wasn't even the correct size tire! My recommendation if you're ever going to use Firestone, is to ride right past the one on State Ave and find another location! This isn't my first or second or third or even fourth negative experience with them either through myself or friends and/or family members! However I've used another Firestone here in KCK and have been very pleased every single time!

My nephew and his family were visiting from Nashville and started hearing grinding noise when they applied the brakes. They had to leave the next day to get home for work requirements. we were in a desperate place because we had checked with some local small shops and they were booked out a week. Oz, the manager understood our situation and worked us in and had them fixed the same day. New rotors and brake pads did the trick. Appreciate their understanding Of our situation and they were very friendly to work with.

I took my car in to be serviced because my engine light was on. I found out that I needed a new catalytic converter. They installed it quick. I picked my car up that evening, however I had to take it back, because it was making a noise. I arrived back at the store that morning, they figured out the problem, and started on my car immediately.They ordered another catalytic converter. Installed it quick. Even though this was an inconvenience to me, and I had to schedule 4 Uber rides, back and fourth, I still had to give them a five star, because they were so concerned about my car!! The customer service was Phenomenal!! Oz was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! Sometimes what we're going thru, could actually be testing our patience. And I must say, I PASSED!! LOL

Had an appointment with them. Well was supposed to at 1:00. They told me it would be an hour and a half wait then it was close to $100 For an oil change and the person with the long beard told me that my coupon would not work because I would need more than 6 quarts of oil. He was wrong. I only needed four. I went to their competitors what he told me not to because they'd be higher lies on top of lies and their excuse was why I would have to wait an hour and a half is because this isn't jiffy lube never going to this place ever again. I would not recommend it. Stay away from them

Dear Firestone Team, I wanted to take a moment to recognize the exceptional service we received at your Kansas City location this past weekend. We came in needing a flat tire repair while traveling—over four hours from home—and were understandably stressed about the situation. Your store manager, OZ, took wonderful care of us. Even though the garage was very busy that Saturday, he managed to get us in quickly and back on the road in just a little over an hour. Unfortunately, the tire was unsalvageable (through no fault of OZ or the team). However, OZ took the time to clearly explain why the existing tire couldn’t be repaired and then helped us select a quality replacement tire that was both reliable and fairly priced. This level of care and efficiency was above and beyond what we expected. Other shops in the area were quoting us 4 hours just for a flat repair. Thanks to OZ’s help, we were able to make the most of our day and enjoy precious time with our family during our visit. Great job, OZ, and thank you to the entire team for turning a stressful situation into a positive experience!

Had an appt. to have 4 tires mounted and balanced, took 2.5hr to mount and balance 4 tires, and did a crappy job of balancing. put weights to the our of the wheel and then had to pull off and then couldn't even clean the tape and glue residue off. Will never go back.

When I called to make the appt for my alignment I made sure to ask for price after taxes because money is really tight right now. Keep in mind I made the appt for the day before I was supposed to start a new job cause I’m gonna be driving a far distance for my new job and I wanted my car to work fine for that. When I bring my car in and they start working on it I try to pay them cause like I said I can’t afford to pay more than what was told to me, and they wouldn’t let me and tell me I can’t pay til after the service is done. That’s a little iffy to me. So I’m watching the guy work on my car and I see him breaking a bolt. Then they come in and tell me I’m gonna have to pay to replace that bolt they broke because “these kind of things happen as they’re working on cars” then they tell me they’re gonna have to replace the entire control arm but that they will eat that cost but I can’t have my car til the next day.. the day I’m supposed to start my new job. I proceed to tell him I cannot be without my car cause I’m starting a new job and as I said money is tight I don’t have a ride from Firestone to my house let alone home and back and to my job which I did mention is far and all this man said to me was well I can pay for the rides and the bolt or for the control arm but I can’t pay for it all and I do not recommend driving your car like that cause it’s messed up. I had to call my job and see if I can start on a different day and the only other day I can start is two weeks after my original start date.. so not only do I have to come with more money to pay for this but I have to miss out on 2 weeks of pay. So I called corporate and made a complaint and all they could do is make sure that I only pay the original price of the alignment. Which at this point I don’t feel like I should even pay after all the money I’m losing on because of these people. But I get that they are doing a service and I pay it but I will never ever go to Firestone again.. I am beyond upset about this. And I’m even considering a lawsuit at this point. They will definitely hear from me again..

Todd and Daniel were AMAZING. While they couldn’t fix what needed to be done, they recommended a reliable place I could go too. Helped me get a battery delivered from autozone so they could even run the diagnostic on the car. Would highly recommended coming to these guys. As a woman car repairs can always be a struggle, never sure if you’re being had or not. They walked me back and showed me what was up and I felt safe and secure with what they were able to do and would come back for maintenance again!!!!!

I’ve been doing business with this specific Firestone location for over 6 years and never had any issues especially when the previous manager, Chris, was running the store. Unfortunately, things have gone downhill since the new manager, Oz, took over. Since the management change, prices have suddenly and repeatedly increased with little to no explanation. Tire installation used to be around $35 per tire, and now it’s $46.99 per tire. Every time I ask about it, I’m told, “That’s the new price—everything has gone up. That’s what all Firestones charge. There’s no transparency or breakdown. We were then charged extra for low-profile tires, which we questioned. We eventually agreed to an additional $10, understanding it’s not a big deal. However, we later noticed another $20 charge for a TPMS reset, which we did not request. We clearly stated to just install the tires—nothing more. These repeated add-on charges feel unnecessary and shady. On top of that, the manager seems unable to properly handle our tax situation. Almost every visit ends with us waiting while he has to call someone else to figure out tax credits. That was never an issue under previous management. While Oz presents himself politely, the way things are being handled is concerning. Compared to how smoothly the store was run under Chris, this is a major step backward. I genuinely believe this location risks losing long-term commercial accounts like ours over small but constant upcharges instead of maintaining trust and relationships. I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but this needed to be said. To be clear, all the other employees here are excellent professional, friendly, and they recognize us from years of business. We’ve always had great experiences with the staff. This review is strictly about the current manager. Very disappointing for a store that used to be reliable and well-managed.
