I can't say enough about the amazing service I receive at this Firestone location! Always greeted with a smile, and updated on my vehicles progress. Miles & Danielle are wonderful and make sure everything completed on time, they always go above and beyond! Brandon is an incredible technician. Firestone Complete Auto Care on University Dr., Durham, NC near Target and Sam's is a great place to take your vehicle. The manager and staff are accommodating, knowledgeable, and have a passion to help people. I have been having issues with my engine light on a 2017 Chevy Equinox and they have been very helpful and patient. I'll always go back to them for service.

My experience with this location over the past two weeks has been mixed. I called their location a few days prior to 11/8/25 to schedule a state inspection for my vehicle and one was scheduled for the 8th without a problem. When my fiancé and I arrived on the 8th, we were greeted by Jamie who informed us that they had let go the person who was scheduled to do my inspection the day before. Jamie said that I should have been called about this (I had not). He offered to reschedule me for the next Tuesday after 5:00pm, and noted that I would not be charged for this inspection due to the inconvenience. This would have been fine, but when I called Tuesday to confirm that someone would be there, Jose told me that Jamie told me wrong information and that none of their certified employees worked after 5:00pm. He offered for me to come in at any time on Saturday (today) or he could try to get someone to stay late on Wednesday. I chose to come today, which was a mistake. I arrived today, once again with my fiancé, prior to 5:00pm. A different employee greeted us this time and I shared I had spoken with Jose and with Jamie about coming to get my vehicle inspected. The employee, who turned out to be Jose, said that I had once again received incorrect information. I expressed my frustration with this, saying that this was the third time I had been in contact with this location trying to get an inspection. Jose said that their only certified inspector had left early and that he should have called to let me know (he did not). I understand that things happen that can be out of our control, but as a business it should be common practice to inform patrons that plans need to change. I would have given this location one star, but Jamie’s consideration earned them one extra star.

Arrived and needed inspection and oil change but told them if to busy I can wait on oil change. Said no problem we will get everything done and youll be out 15-30 minutes. Over a hour waiting im told I failed inspection. Something minor no issue. I asked if it took so long because the oil change? He said what oil change and then he remembered I told him I wanted one. Proceeded to tell me he never said would be done so fast and that I was in the wrong for assuming so. He didint care about customer service nor did the technician. Never going back and I recommend you don't either.

My father came in for service with this location and was extremely disrespected by the upfront employee Derek. My father was frustrated at the length of time it was taking and attempted to discuss this with him when Derek began yelling at him in a lobby full of customers. Stating his vehicle didnt need service and he should be more grateful. Absolutely disgusting customer service

Comically dishonest. Went in for a state mandated vehicle inspection. They informed me that I needed "new windshield wipers" and a "license plate light bulb" before they would sign off on the inspection. (Wasn't clear to me that either of these were truly necessary but I didn't argue). When it came time to check out, the gentleman informed me that it would be **$205**. Alarmed, I asked for an itemized breakdown. They attempted to charge me for **three** wiper blades. (My car has only two wipers). And charged me $55 in labor to replace a $3.50 light bulb. (The DIY video on replacing this light bulb is 90 seconds long on YouTube. I could have replaced it myself in under ten minutes). In short, these guys (like most unreferred mechanics) are unscrupulous crooks who should be avoided at all costs.

This one of the worst firestone locations in Durham. I got an oil change and when my car was ready they handed me my keys and a bolt that came from my car. They didn't know where the bolt was supposed to go on my car. I asked them if I would have any problems because of the missing bolt on my car. They assured me my car would be fine. Now my car is leaking alot of oil. This is the only place I get my oil changes from now they have messed up my car and to fix it I will have to pay $1400. I will never go back to this location ever again.

They beat out everyone else’s price, I had been shopping around for new break pads and rotors and I saved over $300 with them! I also had to pick up my son from school by a certain time and not only did they meet the timing they got it done earlier! They went out of their way to have extra hands working on my car to get me back on the road quickly enough! I couldn’t be more happy.

This location is absolutely wonderful! From the moment I walked in, everyone was incredibly helpful, friendly, and attentive to all of my concerns. Mr. Miles, Mr. Semeon, and Mr. Brandon went above and beyond to make sure I felt supported and well taken care of. Their professionalism and kindness truly stood out. Every time I take my vehicle here, it is serviced efficiently and right the first time. Miles and the whole crew are amazing. They take great care of my vehicle and make me feel informed and valued. This "chain store" feels like a neighborhood shop that takes great care of their neighbors. Made an appointment to get a leak in one of my tires patched. Took them two and a half hours to find and patch the hole (took them an hour to get to my car even with my appointment). Multiple times they said there was no problem and that it was probably just the weather (after i told them it got down to 15psi). I also repeatedly told them I had to work soon and needed my car back which produced zero urgency from the staff. Even when my car was done and ready for me in the parking lot, it took them over half an hour for them to start checking me out. Once I was checking out I asked what caused the leak and the guy didn’t even know and had to go ask, adding more time to my already exhausting visit. Will never go back there, absolutely terrible customer service.

I had an outstanding experience at Firestone, thanks to Miles and Simeon. I came in with an issue with my low-beam headlights, and both of them immediately stepped in to help. They not only fixed my headlights quickly, but they also made sure everything else was working safely before I left.
