Oil changes and tire rotation take about 2 hours. They charge a-lot, almost $200 for an oil change and tire rotation. They should really vacuum your car and a courtesy wash for how much they charge. They have a nice waiting room and staff but you’re paying for the atmosphere. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

From the start, Carlos and Paul, from the used inventory department, made the whole process of purchasing a vehicle at Fitzgerald Auto Mall such a pleasurable experience. No pushiness or pressure, just honest, good people to deal with. The smoothest process in purchasing a vehicle by a mile!! Great guys to deal with and they took great care of us throughout. This dealer denied me a warranty claim on a certified pre owned car that needed major engine work. They said it was a maintenance item. They even charged me a diagnostic fee after I told them what the problem was from the get go theres an fsb on it for goodness sake. I took it to another dealer and they covered the repair in full under warranty with nothing out of pocket on my part at all. This dealer is a crook and clearly lied to me.

The location has a great sales staff, 5 out of 5. I purchased a Mazda from Bobby in December of 2024, very happy with it. The loss of 3 stars is due to the slow service department. 2 hours for just an oil change is extensive. Now that my free oil services are over, I won’t be back. However, the poor service may only be with the Volkswagen team (George Bromwell). I will give credit to Gustavo with Mazda, who has been quick with two of my services in the past. If you need anything, I’d recommend you specifically make an appointment with him. Overall, buy your car here but service elsewhere.

Just bought my second car from Fitz VW, an Atlas Cross Sport. I hate buying cars due to depreciation but… The experience was very good thanks to Jason Butts and Bobby in Sales. They listened and worked with me, were fair and kept it simple. Having had a VW diesel-gate car from 2015 “thanks” to corporate greed of VW, I did not expect to get another VW but, due to Chris Letora and team in Service at Fitz and VW taking a $2B hit in a lawsuit, it actually was a perfect time to avoid any games by VW who engineers a good car, especially for a tall guy. The Service team at Fitz over many years since diesel-gate issues showed up again and again earned my return to Fitz. See Jason, Bobby and Victor in Sales and in Service see Chris who is excellent at his job.

5-star experience from start to finish!! I purchased a 2019 Dodge Charger Scat Pack from Fitzgerald Auto Mall Frederick. Bobby Lee, my sales consultant, was fantastic. He was so easy to communicate with during the scheduling and buying process, enjoyable to chat with during the test drive and explained every step along the way. The price was spot on and an unbelievable deal for the very, very low miles (4,700) - this car is practically brand new and I couldn't be happier. It was kept in the Fitzgerald showroom and was in mint condition. The sales room/building is clean, restrooms are easy to find and tidy, and we were in and out within an hour. The signing process was very interesting too since it's an electronic board and not actual paper, very neat experience. Thank you, Bobby and the entire team, for my 2nd purchase within the Fitzgerald Auto Mall organization! I'll certainly be back again!

I recently found myself in the position of acquiring a new car somewhat quickly. I compiled a short list of the SUV's I thought would be serve my needs and began my search. I started (and as it turns out ended) with Fitzgerald Auto Mall in Frederick. I called to make an initial appointment and set some ground rules for what I was looking for and the process I wanted to follow. I was set up to meet with Arnold M who turned out be a perfect match. He showed me exactly what I was looking for, made recommendations based on my needs without giving me a pushy hard sell. A few days later I was driving away in a brand new Mazda CX-5 thanks to Arnold's assistance. Nowhere in the process did he come across as a pushy car salesman, rather he listened to what I needed for personal and business use and then tried to find the best matching vehicle....which is exactly what he accomplished. In a matter of days I drove SUVs from five different brands and quickly narrowed down my choice to either Mazda or Subaru. Going back in to see Arnold again, I said I need to find the one thing that is going to tip the scales in favor of one of those cars. Again, he listened and presented some ideas and boom, the decision became so easy. After the deal was signed, sealed and delivered, I asked him how he managed to help find such a good match so quickly....his response, "I JUST LISTENED TO WHAT YOU NEEDED AND WHAT YOU WERE LOOKING FOR." I've owned many cars in my lifetime and this was by far the least painful buying experience I've ever had. Most salespeople want to sell you what they want to sell as opposed to what you need, and that was certainly not the case here. It sounds so easy, but when you listen and fulfill the customer's needs it ends with sale. I know a lot of sales people who could learn a lot from Arnold's approach! I also had great experiences with other members of the team, such as finance. So bottom l line well done Arnold, and well done Fitzgerald!

I would not recommend Fitzgerald Car Sales unless you are completely out of options and have no choice but to come here for repair work. The vehicles on the lot are significantly overpriced compared to other dealerships in the area, and the overall experience makes it clear that customer satisfaction is not a priority. The service department, in particular, needs a serious attitude and professionalism overhaul. My interaction at the service desk was extremely frustrating. The employee I dealt with was rude, dismissive, and unhelpful from the start. Instead of explaining what was going on with my vehicle or walking me through the process, he acted irritated by basic questions and made me feel foolish for asking. Nothing was explained clearly, and there was no effort to communicate or provide reassurance—just condescension and poor attitude. Customer service should involve patience, clarity, and respect, especially when people are already stressed about car issues and repair costs. Unfortunately, that was completely lacking here. The experience left me feeling disrespected and frustrated rather than helped. If you value your time, money, and sanity, I strongly suggest driving to Hagerstown or another nearby dealership. The service there is noticeably better, more professional, and far more customer-focused. I won’t be returning to Fitzgerald, and I would advise others to think twice before doing business here.

I cannot say enough amazing things about Fitzgerald Auto Mall and the incredible experience I had getting my first car. From start to finish, the process was unbelievably smooth, stress-free, and honestly better than I ever imagined. John and Bobby went above and beyond in every possible way. They were patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely cared about helping me find the right car and not just making a sale. As a first-time car buyer, I had a lot of questions and nerves, but they took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure I felt comfortable and confident every step of the way. There was absolutely no pressure, no confusion, and no runaround. The entire process was organized, transparent, and efficient. Very disappointed. I found the exact truck I wanted, only issue it’s located 5 hours from where I live. After a couple weeks of dealing with the salesman on the phone that was very nice and professional and after backing out once, I decided to treat myself and go get the truck I want. I spoke with the finance department Monday stating I will be there first thing Wednesday morning to pick up my new beautiful truck. Wednesday morning comes and I arrive at 9am full of excitement, they pull the new truck around, it wasn’t washed yet and still had snow in the bed. Upon inspecting the truck there was a dent and scratch on the tailgate. Small dent nonetheless it’s a brand new $74,000 truck it should be perfect. That was it, I’m not going to make such a large purchase on an item with damage. The salesman and finance department were very nice and professional. I only wish the truck was prep and ready for delivery and maybe the damage would have been seen and fixed before my arrival. Having worked at a Chevy dealership in the pass we always made sure the vehicles looked their best when the potential buyer was coming to make the deal. I’m not angry, just disappointed.

Ben and Branden did a fantastic job working with me to choose and purchase a car at a fair price with confidence and ease. As a small business owner, I value authenticity, transparency, and a genuine approach. Together, these two made the process easy. They answered my (many!) questions, understood that I was not in a rush, and were quick to reply and communicate. We first visited on a Friday evening, without an appointment, and hoped to test drive a couple of cars. Ben made the process easy and just the right amount of involved/support. His experience and great attitude shines through! We returned several times over the course of the week, often with questions and some answers from my accountant. I walked away with confidence with a car that is safe, reliable, stylish, and affordable. Once we got into numbers, Branden came right over with confidence and the patience of a school teacher. He walked through pros and cons of each plan and listened to what was most important to me. We went back and forth for a few days until we both were satisfied with the deal we reached on a 2025 VW Tiguan. I love that the dealership is full service, the energy of those working is always upbeat and charismatic, and that I felt supported through the process. Never pressured. The support staff was also extremely personable and gave great local food recommendations. Jason, the manager, was very approachable and knowledgeable about purchasing a business vehicle. Fitzgerald is lucky to have this team and I’m so happy with the decision we made to work together. Thank you all!
