Went in for an alignment after i changed all steering components on my truck. They SPRAY PAINTED my front two tires in order to do the alignment. Now I have white spray paint in the treads of the tires and they said "that's how you do an alignment on those trucks" NEVER have I seen someone spray paint tires to do an alignment. They did straighten my steering wheel for $100 though (the cost of the alignment)

Was having handling issues with my Jeep TJ and brought it here for evaluation. Frame & Axle test drove the Jeep, looked at the axle, and told me the front axle (D30) was both twisted and bent. I took the Jeep to M.I.T. for repair and they determined the axle was fine and in excellent condition, which makes sense since we don’t ‘wheel it hard and are the original owners. Not very impressed with Frame & Axle’s diagnostic abilities!

Called to see if work could be done on a project. Just need a few welds to add a brace kit. Person on phone (a male) said we don't do it and hung up.

Excellent service. I cant recomend this place enough if you need any alignment work on older vehicles. They are fast and can usally take care of you same day but call in to be sure. The owner is honest and offers very affordable prices on all work ive had done at this shop. Saved me hours of headache!

Ramos was recommended to me by MIT and I could not be happier that I was! Staff was friendly and professional. I was in a bind and on a huge time crunch and they were able to get me in as a walk in and perform an alignment in litterally 10 minutes. I am not saying this will be the case for everyone but my experience was incredible and I would highly recommend to anyone!

I needed a nut for a truck that we have. Somehow one of the nuts on the u bolt worked it's way loose. I went to several different places in Chula Vista where I live and I couldn't find a replacement. Someone recommended Frame and Axle service. I called and the person who answered the phone was very helpful. I got there they had exactly what I needed.

The OWNER IS A LIAR AND CROOK I have been in trucking industry for 15+ years have had many services done to my small fleet. So I called around for 2 tires quotes all morning and was getting roughly the same prices I called here and none other than Mr. Ramos himself gave me a quote for American tires that was around the prices I was getting his exact words "$493.00 out the door plus alignment $135.00" remember for American tires Daytona made by Goodyear so i was told. Took the unit down they performed alignment while waiting on the tires which came shortly after . So far I'm very happy with service. now it's time to to pay and Mr ramos adds the bill and now we went from what should have been $635.00 to $1147.00 I'm taking back then he explains that the price he gave me over phone was for 1 tire now I'm furious I could've bought name brand for this price needless to say we negotiate price down to an even $1000.00. it gets better the next morning I take a look at tires and see MADE IN CHINA these tires all day sell for $230.00 all day. I call Mr ramos an he admits that he knew and offers to take tires off and put my old tires back on and ONLY charge me for alignment and get this mount and balance of the wrong tires.

Nice enough, owner seems out of touch, needed a unibody frame straightened told them over the phone what I had, part time retired frame guy drove out after I dropped it off and said he couldn't help me because it wouldnt be perfect. Which is fine but then charged $150 just to look at it. Waste of time money and effort. But mainly the money for nothing.

Avoid this place at all costs! Went there for a front strut tower repair the guy looks at the car and agrees it doesn't look that bad and they should be able to repair the car. $125 for an estimate. 2 days later they tell me the car is not repairable. Picked up the car Gave them $125 for the "estimate"and left with a broken door handle. Complained about the door handle being broken and was told I'm trying to take advantage. DO NOT GO HERE!

If you ever need a frame or a uni body straightened on a classic car, this really the only place in SD to get it done. They have all the special equipment for re-arching springs, front suspensions ect. Ramos is a good dude trying to make a living for him and his employees. I have been buying my truck tires here forever, he is the best deal around. If you go to Even's or Discount bring the Vaseline cause you will need it. They doing my brakes on my F 450 today, the last time was 117,000 miles ago.

Brought my 2000 excursion in for squeaks and they suggested replacing body mounts and leaf springs. Got the truck back today and it is perfect, no more squeaks. The whole process was very professional from start to finish and the prices were great. I am very happy with the work performed

I had a horrible experience here and hope to save others from dealing with the same. I had a bent axle and needed a direct replacement. First, Ramos (the owner) told me they had to remove the axle to ensure they got a direct replacement. He gave me a verbal quote on the cost for the axle and labor, which was reasonable, so I let him move forward with removing the axle. I found out after the fact (from the axle vendor) that there was a sticker with the part number on the axle, so the axle did not need to be removed to find the replacement. Sure enough, not only was the axle 2x the estimate, but his labor cost went up 33% as well. I can understand not knowing the price of the axle, but the replacement was identical to the original, so he knew fully what the labor involved would be when he quoted me. When I called him out on it, he didn't say the labor was actually going to take longer than expected, but just that he "needed to make more money on the job". Once the axle was off, Ramos knew I was stuck. It was bad enough having to come up with the money to replace my bent axle, but then to be taken advantage of like this was terrible. Not the way to treat customers if you expect any repeat business. Save yourself a nightmare and look elsewhere!

Not to impressed. Having welding and fabrication experience as a union HDR, I was referred to this shop to get a crack repaired on my motorhome discovered while traveling through the area and I stopped by this shop with a clear picture in hand and the guy in the office looked at the picture and said the metal was to rusty to weld. The metal is 3/8 thick suspension swing arm material with no rust on it. He could have said the work was above his shops skill level and I would have said thanks for being honest, but instead he straight out tried to deceive me not knowing I knew better and that could have been stressful information to someone who didn't know better. What else will this shop lie about? Your gamble.

Went in for an estimate to re arch my truck's rear springs and was quoted accordingly (that was what I thought) Somehow the owner (Ramos) did not included the bushings on the estimate, because his shop does not carry them, he said. He sent me to the dealership, the dealership wanted to sell me two whole new sets of springs @ $900+ each. I Ended up going to a different shop and got the job done. This other shop was having a hard time believing that a spring repair shop wouldn't have something as simple as a set of bushings, something essential for a shop that works on springs.

We a nonprofit ran by homless (Coalition for True World Change) had service done by them (pitman) and connected work and alignment $900 2 years ago. Today we went in only to be told we need pitman, idler and maybe bushings ($400) and told they only warranty for 90 days. I guess pitmans now adays only last 2 years, but is of no use with only a 90 day warranty. Don't bring your business here.

(if I could give zero, I would!) This place — Frame and Axle Services — is a complete scam. The old man who runs it is disrespectful, dishonest, and careless. I brought my truck for an alignment, and he said it would cost $90. When I came back, he suddenly wanted more money. I still paid him, but less than two weeks later, both of my front caliper bolts were missing, which was extremely dangerous. Thank God I wasn’t driving fast when it happened. To make things worse, the alignment was worse than before — my truck was pulling hard to the right, and I had to get another alignment done somewhere else within two weeks. When I asked him why he charged me extra, he said it was for a “tire balance,” which he never told me about. After I gave him the extra money, he told me, “Don’t come back here,” and kicked me out. That was one of the most disrespectful and disgusting experiences I’ve ever had. I always respect people and expect the same, but this man is rude, unprofessional, and a scammer. If I could give zero stars, I would. Avoid this place at all costs — unsafe, dishonest, and not worth a penny
