I’ve only taken my car here a few times, two of which were for punctured tires. Both times they removed the object, patched the tire and didn’t charge me. Everyone I’ve interacted with there has been super helpful and friendly.

Let's be honest, no one likes dumping more money into a car, especially when things unexpectedly break and cost hundreds - or more - to fix. I've taken my car and my wife's to Bob and his crew for a while now and they all all are great guys. They're honest, reasonable, hard working and will do what they can to make this a painless process. Bob gave me tips on how to keep repair costs down, and he pulled through during a flat tire emergency. You should be comfortable in trusting him when he's working on you car. I know I am.

Fantastic service and good people. Have been going to them for any work I cant handle on my own and they point me in the direction when they can. If you bring a high value/expensive car they will keep it in their bay overnight. Greg is brilliant at all things motorcycle and just as good with 4 wheels and Bob knows how to break it down for customers to understand. They just got an additional two(2) bays too.

I would have given a higher rating except for the price I was charged on brake parts. Rear brake pads=$94.83, 1 rear brake rotor =$111.25, 1 rear brake calliper =$246.90, over $450.00 for these parts, this did not include labor. This is unfair! I could have taken this to the dealership for less. I understand making a profit, but this is not right. The labor charge was acceptable, thus giving a rating of two stars.

Nice people! I had a clipped mirror that needed to be replaced. I’m in the neighborhood, so I gave FPA a call. Bob was concerned that with the snow coming, it would take a while to get the part into the shop so he told me exactly where I could go pick up the part in the city myself (got it for $26 bucks, saving me a ton of money) and said to come buy the next day and he’d put it on for me. He had it done for me in under a half hour, and when I asked how much I owed, he said “Don’t worry about it, next time give me something hard to do!” Really appreciated the great service. Seems like I may have found my new mechanic!

I cannot emphasize this enough- DO NOT GO HERE! They are incredibly overpriced and incredibly rude. Every aspect of my experience was bad, but specifically: -To get my brake pads and rotors replaced was nearly $1,000. I understand that this isn't the cheapest fix on a car, but the cost of materials ordinarily shouldn't be half of that. Retail price for brake pads is about $50; they charged me $100. I understand the shop needs to make a profit on the parts they are buying, but doubling the cost of each part is predatory. -The man who answers the phones and processed my payment was so condescending. He didn't acknowledge me when I first went in and said good morning. We stood in silence until he finally looked up and said, "Yeah, what's up?" He called me to tell me my car was done but said that they couldn't accept Visa at the moment (which is the only card I have). Any question I asked to figure out the payment he was defensive and quick to cut me off. When he did let me get a word in, I could hear him (distantly, like he had moved away from he phone) answering other phone calls. He just kept repeating "We can take American Express and Discover. You'll have to figure it out" as if a system failure on his end and an inability to work on a solution that didn't involve cards I do not have was my fault. Lastly, I had a $7 coupon for my oil change. When I showed it to him (mind you, before I presented my payment), he rolled his eyes so hard he moved his entire head with it. He said, "You guys have GOT to show me that when you first drop your car off." There was nothing that specified that on the coupon, and other Valvoline locations took coupons when you paid; I said so. "Well you should have printed it." There wasn't even a barcode or a PDF of the coupon, just an email with a 3 letter code saying it was valid at this location. He sighed and said "Fine, that brings your total to xxx." When I checked the receipt later, he did not take off the $7. It's $7 off of $1,200, but it's the principle of it. These things, combined with the several condescending "lectures" he gave me (how brakes work, why his shop is better than going anywhere else, how new brakes feel and smell and 'don't freak out, your car isn't on fire'), are completely unacceptable, and to me made it clear he thought I was a dumb young woman who knows nothing about cars. All of the negative things from the 1 and 2 star reviews are correct. I tried to support a local business and focus on the stellar reviews, but this shop will not be getting my business ever again. Hopefully, this business will not get yours either.

Past 2 days my rear tire kept going flat. I called down on a Saturday to see if they were able to squeeze me in to look at it (as other places were booked until at least mid week). I was able to bring my car down and the gentleman fixed it in under 30 minutes (I had a screw in it) and didn't charge me for the tire plug. I loved the mechanics humor (he said I got screwed, lol) and will definitely be back to this place.

Where to start - I had been taking my car here for years since it was nearby, but unsure why I stayed as long as I did. First - they lectured me about driving more because my rotors/brakes were rusty (yeah it's west PA...) and charged $900 for one set of rear brakes and rotors (should be a $400 job tops). Then these same brakes/rotors failed their own inspection 10k miles later! Then - took for an A/C fix. They "fixed it" ($600) and it was broken one month later. Took to the dealer who fixed it for good (working 3+ years now) for only $100, so clearly they misdiagnosed the issue. Now - I needed a new clutch and they told me I should total the car, quoting $6k in work. I took it to another place that did all the work they quoted AND more (fixing their brake job, new tie rods, fixing power steering etc...) for only $2300. Bottom line - I would never bring my car to this place and if you do, get another quote.

Everyone was incredibly friendly. Dropped off my car at 8am for inspection and oil change. Got it back at 12:30pm with no issues. The man that worked there also told me every step to get my car registered and transferred to PA from Florida previous when I called completely clueless and confused after going to the DMV. I would give more than 5 stars if I could.

I’ve taken my car here twice, once when another company messed up a muffler repair and once for inspection. Both times were a great experience. I didn’t feel like they were trying to upsell me or take advantage. I shop around and the suggestions/pricing at Frick Park Automotive were more reasonable and more realistic than the upselling at Honda and even another small business. Some prices might be a little on the higher side when you look at them individually compared with other providers but for me, as a whole, they were much less expensive. Honda tried to convince me I needed several other things that were not actually necessary at this time. Even after I told them I was planning to buy a new car soon and wanted the bare minimum. Highly recommend Frick Park Automotive. I’ll pay a little extra on individual products and services for a small business and recommendations I can trust.

Please take my review as your warning. I am ashamed it has taken me this long to review but here 3 examples of extremely poor service over the past 2 years. 1. Came in with some brake issues, they replaced rear brakes and calipers. Within 24 hours of getting the vehicle back, the caliper they installed had failed and left me stranded, waiting on them to get me back in to replace it AGAIN. 2. Came in with my car making some loud noises in the rear. They insist the issue is with my exhaust flanges and quote me $1,200 for the work. I take the car for a second opinion and they laugh at me for thinking I have exhaust issues. The exhaust looked fine and it was a rear wheel bearing that had failed. Frick Park Auto sent me away from their shop to drive with a failed wheel bearing. When I contacted them about this, I was told "We don't catch everything..." 3. Another wheel bearing they had replaced for me had failed after ONLY 12,000 miles. While they agreed that was incredibly unusual, they were unwilling to look at the car any further to see if this was endemic of a larger rear end issue. I was told there was nothing they could do and to "keep my ears open." If that is the mentality you have when putting your family in your vehicle - these are the guys for you! Personally, I would like a little more assurances that my family is going to be safe when I put them in the car. Not to mention I have seen them smoke in customer's cars and they are incredibly rude if you ask any questions.

I live close by this business and have used them twice for my car inspection. I am able to drop off my car the evening before my appointment and then receive a call when pick up is ready. I appreciate that I can stop by if I have a concern and my questions are always addressed, also I was having problems with my tires and needed air on several occasions, no problem. I would recommend this location for anyone in need of car service. They always answer the phone and it’s a real person, wow!!

Was quoted $1000 for new tires, base model, and told my tires did not pass inspection. Took to Firestone and new tires were only $500 and was informed my tires were all in passing condition. New tires should've been suggested but my vehicle should've received an acceptable state inspection report. Do not fall for the convenience of this place.

Way over priced and did not fix the issues. If you are having car issues DO NOT GO HERE! May be ok for a quick oil change. Never going back here. Not sure why some ppl give it 5 stars. Trust these reviews because I didn't.

Arrived to get an oil change at 1:09. One side says valvoline, simply walked in looking for a person to tell I want to change my oil. Guy comes around the corner “excuse me sir get out of there.” whilst shaking his head at me. I say “I’m just trying to get an oil change.” Guy goes “you gotta go we’re closing soon.” I say “In an hour?” He goes “yeah we have another guy ahead of you.” It’s gonna take an hour to change the other guys oil? Seems like laziness and the guys just wanna close shop early. No reason to not take paying customers an hour before close.

I’m pretty fed up with them, and I really wouldn’t recommend going there unless you particularly enjoy being scammed. I am a young woman and brought the car in for an alternator failure concern. Didn’t want to stray too far from my house in case car stalled. Was quoted $1,000 to get new alternator, battery, and cables. I said yeah no, I’m a mechanical engineer with a clue, nice try. Ordered my alternator on Amazon and some anti-corrosion spray. Took me 30 minutes to replace it, and the car was fixed $120 later. Battery was in good condition, got it double checked at Sam’s Club for free, so they lied about that. Cables just needed a quick spray down. Should be a crime honestly. 30 minutes of labor should not cost $500. Take your business elsewhere or beware of deceptive practices.

First time using Frick Park Auto - I had a screw in my tire and they fixed it quickly and didn't even charge me for it. I dealt with both Bob and Tony and both were good communicators. Would highly recommend!

I usually avoid leaving negative reviews, but my experience was so disappointing I felt compelled to warn others: I brought my car in for what should have been a routine repair (brakes). They quoted me $1,000 and claimed my tires “did not pass inspection.” When I took it elsewhere for a second opinion, I was told: My tires were fine — no issues at all. The part prices they charged were wildly inflated (at least twice what other places quoted). After I questioned the work, the manager got defensive and dismissive, telling me to “do the job yourself” if I didn’t trust their pricing. The repair didn’t even fix my original problem fully, so I had to pay more elsewhere. Overall, I felt misled, overcharged, and frustrated by their attitude. Avoid this shop unless you’re ready to haggle hard and risk poor workmanship.

My check engine light came on so at the recommendation of my son-in-law went see them. Bob at front desk said "I could change you $109 to bring it in to the shop to check it out, but let me run a quick dianostic first!" Came out to my car. Plugged in tne tester, said its you're transmisson , i don't do those. Go see Army's Transmission ! No charge!! Really appreciated his honesty!! Army Transmission was equally Great!!
