I recently took my vehicle to Gales on State Street after the mechanic I had been using for several years referred me to them for their expertise. From start to finish, these gentlemen are absolutely top-notch. Everything from setting up the appointment, dropping off my vehicle, waiting while my vehicle's issue was identified, being taken back in the shop so I could receive a thorough explanation of the cause of the issues and what steps were required to resolve the issues, and then since it was getting towards the end of the business day and they didn't have the necessary parts, I was told my vehicle would be done probably sometime later the following day. And then for the first time ever in my experience with any mechanic, or any service for that matter, I was shocked when I received a text message from Gales the next morning. One of the mechanics had stayed after hours the night before to complete the repairs on my vehicle and it was ready by 8:30 the following morning! And I am still floored at how fair their pricing is. Honestly it is way more than fair because my total was much less than I was anticipating having to spend on these repairs. I am beyond grateful and so appreciative of Gales on State Street, and I'm thankful for every single one of the crew members there. They all demonstrate professionalism, they are clearly highly skilled mechanics, they are very effective and efficient at their jobs, and above all, they demonstrate honesty and integrity which is very rare these days. I give them my absolute highest recommendation and I won't take my vehicles anywhere else from now on.

Made an appointment online to get my car looked over. Thought I needed brakes, but they let me know I still have some time before they need replaced. Very honest people here! James was very helpful with everything and answered all of my questions. I like how they update you along the way with pictures and showing you the things that need work or will need work done soon. Highly recommend this place. Will be scheduling my brakes through here when they need to be replaced.

Had to delete my old review praising the work here from past experience at another location. Anyways. I needed some All Season Tires for the lovely snow here. Definitely was in a bind since other Tire Shops had little to nothing in stock and not what I wanted anyways. I called up Max, him and the bros did their thing. Under 72 hours, possibly 48 hours, I can’t remember but I was in the shop instantly and drove off with some amazing General GMAX AS-07. They are definitely a night and day difference from my stock summer tires. I have a 2024 WRX and no they didn’t rev it or take it for a test drive. They treated my car with “White Glove Service” from start to finish. They even wrapped my old tires in bags to not get my car dirty. Always a pleasure working with them. Been a loyal customer since 2020 I think, possibly 2021. Just go here and get it done. Trust me!

By far the best customer service!!! I just had my vehicle in to get some unforeseen repairs and everyone I spoke to was absolutely amazing, especially Max. Gales did not hesitate to explain the process to me when I had questions which I appreciated. While my car was being fixed they were able to drop me and pick me back up when my car was completed. 07/29/25 3pm oil change and James Parts Manager was my customer service personnel. Received my inspection of all that was inspected and I approved the service. Another well done oil change at an unbeatable price of full synthetic oil. James was very helpful in supplying with my receipt for payment and also some paperwork that was done on the Jeep that I missed placed somewhere, we bring my wife's vehicle here also. Man where do I begin :) I've never been to Gales auto shop before. They left an incredible first impression. I came in to see if they could help diagnose my battery terminal electrical issue. Was told it was going to be Wednesday until they get to it, but they decided to squeeze me in asap to see what the issue was. They hooked me up with a new battery tightened and cleaned up the terminal cables as well. They also helped me financially with paying for the service. Max took care of me the entire time. Made me feel comfortable while I waited and everything. Most definitely will be bringing my vehicles here down the road. Great Customer Service and Hospitality through and through.

Great work by everyone here. Very professional attitudes across the board from everyone I talked with and you can tell these guys don't just do this as another job but as a career. They were able to diagnose my issue as failed struts and finish the repair within a few hours for my case. You'll get a full rundown of what's going on under your vehicle with many different photos showing their findings. I hear they have pretty good prices for oil changes so I'll definitely be back when that time rolls around again.
