i took my car in because it was shaking left it there called me 2 hrs later saying it was the computer, he sent me to cadillac n they wanted to charge me all this money so i ended up goin to another shop were i found an honest mechanic it ended up only being a sensor and a coil.. galvans shop was saying it was the computer and i had to walk a good distance to my destination just do they can give me the wrong answerr very disappointed .. on top of that he said he was goin out of town

We took our truck to two other repair shops. We wasted several weeks while the repair shops tried to troubleshoot and figure out what was wrong with our truck. The first shop told us that the transfer case was bad. They told us that they don’t work on transfer cases and recommended that we go to a transmission shop. So we found a transmission shop and they replaced the transfer case. The first day out we found that the transfer case was not the issue. The four-wheel-drive was still disengaging upon hard acceleration. Luckily the transmission shop owner was honest enough to refund our money. They recommended we go to the dealership. I decided to bring the truck to Galvan’s automotive. They diagnosed the problem the same day. Both Wheel bearings and both actuators were shot. They ordered the parts and fixed all of the items the next day. Took the truck out today and it worked perfectly. I will not take my truck to any other repair shop. Galvans is the best shop in town. PERIOD.

I took in my accord to get fixed and they did a heck of a job getting the problem solve. It was the water pump. The price was more than fair. The service was quick and professional. They are friendly and upfront no fluff. They will let you know what is up with your vehicle with no hassle for upcharge. They also took care of my fathers fuel pump issue same day return on service. Again very fast and so far outstanding work. I have my camaro with them right now for a new belt and adjustments on my carburetor which they had seem to point out the problem quickly. All and all great auto shop!!! There mechanics are knowledgeable!!!

If there is any mechanic to recommend you here in El Paso, it would definitely be Mr Galvan. I have personally known Galvan for over 30 something years and believe me, he is still the same honest guy that will tell you straight up what's wrong with your car and will not overcharge you. Mr Galvan is very honest and very fast when time is of the essence. If I can't fix something or I don't understand, Galvan is always willing to help me no matter what. He will go beyond the extra mile to help. And when I left my car with him a few times he always informed me in a timely manner and explained everything nice and clear. He is very knowledgeable. Stop searching who can fix your car. This is THE SHOP for you. GALVAN'S AUTOMOTIVE!!!

I went becase my brake light needed a bulb change. They wanted to charge me $30 and I had to bring the bulb. Went to another mechanic and they did it for $20 with bulb included.

One of the very few honest mechanics left in El Paso. Good work and trusted service in Central El Paso, TX. by Austin High. Been coming here for repairs since I got my license as a teen. They've probably worked on at least 5 of my previous vehicles (including a lonchera aka lunch truck/roach coach 🤣) and just a few days ago worked on my current one daily driver car. (Water pump - replacement die to leak, belt replacement - maintenance since i saw it was a little frayed, oil change - maintenance by mileage and finally thr temperature sensor replacement - Galvan's proactive recommendation since they had already removed the water pump) I try to find a good mechanic depending on the side of town I'm gonna be living in and since I moved back to Central/NE area. Galvan's is my go to shop regardless. You can take your own car parts and fluids and they'll fix it for you and they call you before they get stuff done to make sure its what you need. They go the extra mile if they see other foreseeable problems 💪 (They saw that one of the temperature sensors was broken and replaced it for small additional cost right then and there.) Other shops typically would have just fixed my my current issue and then would "diagnose" the temperature sensor problem and try to get more labor costs from you on the next visit. Here at Galvan's, he let me know what the deal was and handled it. My car had been having issues the last few years, when in high temp, and that may have been the issue caused by another mechanic from a different shop that I took my vehicle to for the water pump back in 2017 in the west side 🤬 The repairs were in the winter and of course the problem became evident in the summer so it was too late to take it back to that other shop. Anyway, back to Galvan's review 😁. Bus routes pass in front of the shop and plenty of good eateries (KiKi's, anyone? 😁😋) close buy if you decide you want stay there and wait. Even a conveniece store is less than a block down the street for snacks. Give them a shot. Good honest work for good honest pricing. 👌👍

I wish I had more than one great thing about this place but it was only my first time going before I moved. A friend recommended this place for brake replacement since I’m drove across the country. Per axle I paid $145 to get brake pads replaced and rotors resurfaced, I left my car and got a call not long later. I was told my rear rotors could not be resurfaced and the mechanic was very knowledgeable and explained why. For an additional $120 I got both rear rotors replaced with brand new ones. In total I paid $410 which was a great price that included labor and parts.. My vehicle was ready in less than 4hrs.

I was referred to them to get my rack & pinion replaced cost me $2000 . I had a trip coming up and was driving 9 hours away with my kids, after getting there my suv had the exact problem I just paid Mr Galvan $2000 to fix. So here I am in a different state with a broken rack & pinion again. Not even 3 weeks after he supposedly replaced it. These guys are rip offs. Do not take your vehicles here they will take your money and pretend they fixed it.
