George's imports has been caring for my cars for over eight years. They do an excellent job and are very fair. Absolutely know their stuff. They have serviced my 9-5, 9-7x, and Jaguar XK8. Holland and Brad are great. Have never been overcharged. Always less than the dealership and fix it right the first time. Don't hesitate to use them.

Always a great experience to work with George's. My family has been taking our cars here since the 60's (when they were off of state line and followed the in their move to Martin City). The mechanics are always up front and honest about what's wrong and the cost. It is NOT one of those places where they hit you coming and going. They are a great company. I don't take my vehicles anywhere else. I drive down from Omaha just to have them work on them they are worth the drive. Would highly recommend them to anyone and frequently do.

I was referred to Georges when another shop had problems fixing our Audi and they fixed everything and it is now running like when we drove it off the lot brand new !! They also fixed our Escalade and its never run better as well !! Thank you to Junior for your fantastic service and thank you also to the rest of the experts that work at Georges Imports !! Thanks again, David B

I sadly drove my 2004 Saab 9-3 over a curb at driving speed last week and did damage to the front bumper guard plate. I talked to Junior who has done a great job keeping me on the road and he talked me through the removal of the part until I can get it into Georges for a better idea how much more damage I may have done. He was patient and logical and though I have no mechanical skills he successfully guided me through the process. I think this quality of service goes over and above what most of us have come to expect in folks today regardless of their profession. Thank you Junior and I will remain loyal to you and Georges Imports as I continue to enjoy my Saab through the coming years. Frank Swyden

Rude and way overpriced. Definitely skip. Took almost a week to just look at my car after making 8 am appointment and then I have to go in person to ask about my car because I don't hear back. All for a $262 bill for looking at and replacing a bulb.

I've been meaning to write a review about this place, they're the only ones I trust with my VW passat. I've been going here about 2 years now and these guys are so reliable and actually fix my car's issues. The first time I went here another shop had my car for almost 2 months telling me I needed a new engine.. Taking it here within a couple of days they found the problem right away. It can get pricy, that's my only reason for 4 stars, but other than that I'm always happy to get my car back from them!

As a Volvo owner I unfortunately spend more time in the shop than I would prefer. George’s has been great at diagnosing and fixing my car when other mechanics have failed. They are honest, fairly priced and great at what they do.

Hands down the best European shop in the Midwest. Junior and his team have taken great care of our 1995 E320 and Audi A3 for the last decade. Fair and personable.

I brought my 2008 Saab back to Junior at George's Imports after several years for some maintenance work and to check brakes, get oil changed, etc. He gave me the heads-up on a few issues to keep an eye out for, rather than charge me for a bunch of work that he could have easily done and justified. Instead he honed in on the issues that needed to be addressed and treated me fairly with those. He also charged me a lot less than other mechanics had quoted me for an issue with the gas gauge sensor that he was able to fix easily. I highly recommend George's Imports and I was very impressed with their professionalism and honesty.

I live at the north end of Saint Joseph, MO and I had a hard time finding a good shop to work on my son's SAAB 9-3. I was able to locate George's Import from a personal reference so I gave them a shot and I am glad I did because Junior and his team do great work. All of my questions were answered and I received prompt service. I learned quite a bit about SAABs directly from Junior as this man knows his business and imports. I would highly recommend his shop to anyone looking for great service.

Not too many places work on old foreign cars. I took my 1996 Jaguar Vanden Plas in for a four wheel alignment. They did a great job and gave me a print out of the readings before and after. It's not a fancy place, but the people are friendly and honest.

Highly recommend George’s. I’ve taken my Volvo to several places around town and this is the best quality, hands down. I had an issue with my engine several months ago and their pricing was about 2/3 of the cost of the dealership. Maybe more importantly, their customer service is top notch. Junior calls me in a timely fashion to give me the diagnosis and he lays out all of the options. He’s takes the time to walk me through the issue in laymen’s terms. I’ve never felt like George’s was taking advantage of me as someone who knows very little about cars. Their location isn’t convenient for me but I’m happy to take my car here because I know the customer service and the work itself it’s well worth it.

I had the best experience ever with a mechanic at George’s Imports! Jr. worked on my 1998 Saab 900, and it was clear right away that he really knows his stuff. He was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and professional, and he kept me updated through the entire process. I was also pleasantly surprised by the price. The quality of service was outstanding and very fair. It’s rare to find someone who truly cares about their work and their customers the way Jr. does. I’ll never take my car anywhere else! I highly recommend George’s Imports!

There's nowhere else ANYWHERE to take your Saab, let alone in Kansas City. They are at least 3rd generation Saab experts (and other imports). Junior's uncle, Brad, used to run it back in the day when they still made Saabs. Junior knows more about this entire make of auto than 10 guys would about a car still being made. I bought a 2003 9-3 convertible last year off marketplace - got a good deal, of course - and the body and top are pristine. Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln... I took it to Junior, he checked it out top to bottom, front to back, and shot me straight. "We can do it, but it'll cost more than the car will be worth." No bs, no pressure to sell the work, just an itemized to do list. I told him to just do it, and that I would know when the car was ready because HE would say, "It's perfect!" Picked it up today after several weeks and it's more than perfect. He asked how I thought it drove. I told him my wife and kids gave me the NASCAR experience last father's day. This drove like that Nascar (maybe not quite as fast). But the incessant thunking of a cancer rotted frame, subframe and suspension were gone. It's hard to describe falling in love with a beautiful car, realizing she's really sick inside, and making the decision to do what you have to do to keep her. (Pet owners probably get this more than other folks.) But man, when I got in it today, it's like she got not just a new heart, but a new soul, a really young one. Like from the days when she rolled off the assembly line. Yes, a new heart - the head gasket leaked oil as did some other parts, so that was pulled, shipped out, machined, valves all cleaned and adjusted, etc etc etc. The suspension mounting locations underneath were rotted out. They grafted new metal to recieve the new fasteners for the suspension... on and on. They did a TON of work on the car. And while I was expecting to pay a lot more, the cost was so damned reasonable. Junior kept me constantly in the loop about the progress. He swallowed a couple bumps himself - that is, a couple minor, but necessary, things, he just took care of (parts that aren't available anywhere that he had from his lifetime of Saab love). Those felt like confirmation presents from your uncle. Thank you, Junior. All in all, if you have a car that is very meaningful to you regardless of its age or condition and you want the exact work it needs, no matter how in depth, and you want that work to be done in the most expert manner, go to George's. If you know me, ask me to drive the car sometime. You'll shit. You won't believe it's 23 years old. And you won't believe how absolutely perfectly well it handles and drives. Junior, I'll say it over and over Thank you, sir, for being so straight about where the journey would take us. But there's no way you could have known how grateful I'd actually be for the masterful care, artistry, shared wisdom and world class execution your team delivered. This car wishes it was this cool the day it was born. Simply the best. John Humphrey
