I had to take my automobile there because a driver didn’t see that I was making a right hand turn and tapped me from behind. From the time I walked in and spoke with the girl at the front counter until I was handed my keys at completion I was treated with care and respect. They went over all the work and I was very happy with the quality they performed. My experience was fabulous. I would recommend Gerber Collision on 6th street to my family and friends.

Wonderful experience. I was in a small accident and Gerber worked first-hand with my insurance company to get my repairs done as quickly as possible. They drove me back to my house after dropping off so I didn’t have to spend money on an Uber and when I picked it up, they had detailed the entire interior in addition to the exterior. They kept me updated with texts each day so I knew exactly when to expect the work to be finished. I highly recommend!

As far as actual repairs are concerned, from what I can tell, the job was done well. However, when you walk through those doors or call their customer service number..Do not expect to be treated like a customer.. let alone a human being. Expect Jessica and Stephanie to be in awful moods M-F and willing to speak to you in the worst possible way.. and if you just so happen to have a “question”.. oof, you’re in for a real treat, the’ll make it their main objective to treat you like a fool. Perhaps It’s unrealistic to expect a positive customer service experience every time but literally every interaction at every phase of this process from initial estimate, to follow up, to payment, to pickup was a negative experience. God bless these people but I think they need some help.

This is, by far, the worst experience I've had with an automobile collision repair shop. Initially told my vehicle will be in for repairs over nine (9) days. A week later, told they were waiting on parts, so it would be an additional two (2) days. Then on April 22, they sent me a text stating my car would be ready that day. So I called, wanted to know what time? They weren't sure, yet insisted it would be completed April 22. Then, at 3:28pm, they sent another text informing me that it would now not be ready until May 3rd. I arrived on May 3rd to inquire about my car being ready. Again, waiting on parts. Turns out that they had ordered the wrong parts. Long story short, it may or may not be ready until....... I do not recommend this location as some of the staff are unprofessional, not very courteous and I even had one face off with me where he was less than two (2) feet from me. Run, Run, Run.... this location is horible!

Does not accept walk-ins from street for estimates. You must schedule an appointment. One of the first questions asked was if it was insurance or cash. Should it matter? No. The quotes should be them same regardless of payment method. Lady working front desk was short. She seemed annoyed that I walked in to try do business with them without an appointment. Does not work with Progressive insurance and I don't blame them.

I had a very disappointing experience with this repair shop. My vehicle was kept for six weeks to address a minor dent on the rear quarter panel—an excessive amount of time for such a small repair. When I received the vehicle, the interior door panel and weather seal, which had been removed during the repair, were not properly reinstalled. The door panel no longer sits flush and has a visible gap, and the weather stripping was reattached incorrectly, leaving an unsightly finish. I brought the vehicle back to have the panel issue corrected. Unfortunately, the staff acted as if addressing their own workmanship was an inconvenience. Even after their attempt to fix it, the door panel still does not sit properly. I later noticed the poor reinstallation of the door seal but chose not to return, as I no longer had confidence in their work. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this shop.

The staff is AMAZING here. Very friendly and they got my car done in a week when it was expected to take almost 3 weeks. They also completely detail cleaned the inside and outside of my car for me before I picked it up, I was so surprised and thankful! They did an amazing job on the repair work as well!

I called to ask questions about the process there at Gerber, as well as the warranty offered and inspection of my vehicle. I was happy with the answers I got when speaking with a mechanic representative, so I decided to get my vehicle dropped off there to start the process… once my car was there, everything they agreed to, changed. I had asked if id be able to see the list of things wrong with my vehicle before I decided if I wanted them to move forward with repairs. They said yes no problem. Then they proceeded to tell me I had to sign paperwork before they would touch my car… This paperwork gave they permission to do repairs on my vehicle.. i didn’t want them doing repair’s until I knew what all was needing to be done. The receptionist was very rude and couldn’t handle me asking questions about my car and the overall process. She took my thoroughness personally and had disruptive attitude. She is just overall not a great option for a customer service position in a professional environment. She also said on the phone that I could change the paperwork to be suitable for me needs and then when I did, they said they can’t accept it. The manger was even more rude and pulled the ego card and said they wouldn’t work on my car. I told them I’d would sign the regular paperwork after I called other places that would explain things to me in more detail so I could further understand their reasoning for not being willing to do a full inspection on my vehicle. I said I’d sign it and they decided to discriminate and turn me away. I wasn’t a client that simply gave over my property and rights without asking questions. They didn’t seem like they care about their clients and their concerns. They just want their money from the Insurance company!! It’s sad that businesses are ran like this. I will be calling the higher up!

The staff is very friendly and service is great. The manager is super helpful and will make sure you’re taken cared of. But my discontent comes from having to return my vehicle three times for warranty work. First, they had to have the bumper repaired after they assured me it was replaced. The bumper was still dented, remnants of the original accident. Then, had to return the vehicle twice to have sensors fixed that they messed up in the first place. Edit: The staff made sure my issue got resolved. The sensors had to ve calibrated by a special machine and it took some trial and error to get it right. I had taken my vehicle here before for repair work and would choose this location again if need be. 10/10

Someone backed into our GMC. Our insurance company sent us here. Picked up this afternoon. They repaired the door damage and some scratches on the inner driver's door. They neglected to clear coat the inside of the door. Manager at first said they didn't do any repairs in that area. Then I reminded him they charged our insurance for that particular repair. He told us to bring it back in 2 weeks and they would finish the job. Arrived home, and found the plastic trim is not attached properly to the car where it was repaired as well. Sent all the information and pics to insurance. We'll see what happens.

Amazing service! I was sent here my insurance and was extremely satisfied with the level of communication and fast repair. My car was returned over a week earlier than the anticipated finish date. Oh, and they constantly communicated the stages of repair via text. Would recommend!

A tree crushed my car a few weeks ago, and State Farm told me to come here for repairs. Gerber was very cooperative with my insurance company and was great about keeping me updated with both phone calls and their text alert system. Although repairs were initially estimated to take about 3 weeks (not surprised, the car took a lot of damage), I got my car back over a week early! Very pleased with their service. They're friendly, prompt, and organized. They also picked me up from my apartment so I didn't have to take an Uber over to the shop. Update: Although I was initially very pleased with their service, I found multiple scratches on my car which weren't repaired, I guess because they didn't think it was from the tree. Well, a tree taller than my three story apartment building fell on my car and 6-8 other cars. My car was completely engulfed in tree (see photos, my car isn't visible in the far away shot because it's completely under the tree), I don't think it's very far fetched that tree branches scratched up my car. Honestly the whole thing should have been repainted given the damage. I brought my car back for Gerber to look at a second time, they said they can try to work on it in maybe a month or so but that they're just too busy to work on it right now. Also that the paint on other parts of the car are still drying and they can't repaint it until the other paint sets. Problem is, I will be travelling internationally this summer for work/school, and I will be leaving my car in Orlando for family to look after while I'm gone. Until then I often drive to Orlando and Tallahassee, so it's very inconvenient to be without a car for a second time. Would have been nice if it was taken care of the right way the first time. I'm considering calling my insurance to tell them the situation and see if they can recommend somewhere in Orlando, that way my family can have it fixed while I'm out of the country. I don't know how this is going to work otherwise. Will update when this is resolved.

This is my second time using them and it was great like the first. My truck got hit in the side but a couple of deer. Caused over $4000 worth of damage. Gerber did a great job of fixing all the damage and making it look like it never happened!! Great office staff, good communication and worked great with my insurance.. what more could you want.

Worst place I probably could’ve taken my car to in town. On 6/20/25, I hit a pothole and my car had to be towed to Gerber to be worked on. Now I completely understand that cars take time to work on (especially when mine had bad work done on it before I owned it). After speaking with the receptionist, I had a time estimate of about 2 weeks or so for it to be worked on. I called weekly asking for updates, and each time the lady said it had not been deconstructed despite them having the parts there. By the third week, and probably my 4th or 5th call to them, they said they finally had it up on a lift and were starting to work on it. Fast forward another week and a half, I finally got the call it was done. As excited I was to have my car back, I was not happy that I had to pay these people for the slowest service ever. Additionally, since Ive had my car back, Ive been seeing tiny spiders constantly. After looking in my back seats I noticed I had A WHOLE INFESTATION due to my car sitting for so long (how none of the workers never noticed is beyond me). Also found trash that had been left in my car by the shop. Overall, Im happy to have my car back and it seems to be driving fine but Im not happy with the wait, never being contacted with updates from the shop except one time, and the carelessness of the shop employees while working on my car. If I can help it, I will never go to this shop again and will warn people of the terrible service.

This shop came recommended by the insurance of someone who damaged my vehicle. I only had the estimate done. Sadly, I was astounded by their lack of professionalism today. What was likely a simple misunderstanding that I was willing to overlook quickly escalated into me taking my business elsewhere. And when a customer calls, you don't say to your coworker--"Oh it's THAT Nissan guy." Good luck to you all.

My first experience was great. This past experience has been a complete NIGHTMARE to say the least. My car was set to be repaired from a deer collision on 11/30, I originally picked it up 12/16 and they hadn’t fixed the back. I don’t live in Alachua so the logistics of all of this takes time. Having to re go through all of this again has been the biggest inconvenience because I’m dealing with insurance as well and a rental. To top it off, they didn’t communicate the second time around and I get a call randomly at 8:34am telling me my car is ready! I’M AT WORK. I have to figure out transportation to get to my car and I don’t get off until 4! Now I have to pay out of pocket for 2 days because I wasn’t aware when my car would be finished. I will NOT be recommending or using this location again.

From my first encounter until the end, when I went to pick up my car, the staff was very professional, down to earth, and friendly. The repairs were done sooner than the time estimated. I was amazed and very pleased with the great experience. I HIGHLY recommend these nice people. The fact that they support our troops and honor them, is awesome. And to the 2 pretty ladies in front of the shop, Thank you for your good sense of humor and awesome personality.
