Was told different things by Candy vs. Rachel. Was never given any updates on when my vehicle would be done, had to constantly call them to get updates and a completion time. They were wishy washy on when it would be completed. Then I got the car back and the fog light didn't work, when it did before and there is a screw missing on the passenger side of the bumper. Do not come here if you don't like being given vague answers and given misinformation about your vehicle. I would not and will not recommended them to anyone needing body work done.

I wish I could give this place negative stars! Not only did the leave me waiting to get in my car they can't even tell the difference between a base model 2012 Honda Accord and a EXL Honda Accord coupe 2015! If they can't count to 4 correctly how can you trust them to fix your car?! They called to apologise for poor customer service. Well they must not appreciate their customers if they forget about them! On top of that I got a different story about my car every time I talked to them. It sounds crazy but I believe Geico and Gerber take cars like mine and conveniently total them. Sell them off for parts and make a killing! I'm sure it's not legal. But how do you prove otherwise? I warn everyone stay away!!!! Far far away!!! Not only is their customer service bad so is their attempt to fix vehicles! 🤬

I would not recommend for damage caused by accidents. They do body work will not check if any other damage, there was possble to my to axel. I requested windshield repair due to it being damaged by the 2 vehicles that struck my vehicle. I was told they did an alignment how does that ensure that there is no damage to axel and I won't have problems later.

I had a great experience with Gerber Collision & Glass. I needed a bumber replaced and dent repaired on the fender. The customer service was great. They kept me infomed of the progress of my repair. The repair was done sooner than expected and they washed my car and cleaned the windows inside and out. The car looked brand new when I went to pick it up... Awesome!

Worst company EVER! They rarely call you with the status of your vehicle even though they say Rachel will call you every Tuesday and Thursday, and I signed paperwork saying that. They broke my key FOB, then blamed us saying it must have been turned in that way. On top of fixing our truck, we asked them to replace our cracked windshield, to which Rachel agreed to in the walk around when we dropped it off. They had our truck for two weeks and gave it back to us with the windshield still cracked. When my husband brought this to their attention, all they could offer was excuses and no solutions. At no point did anyone in the company call us about our cracked windshield to see if they should replace it, knowing FULL WELL it is illegal for us to be driving around with it like that. They also didn't replace our back bumper like they said they would either. You have choices on which business works on your vehicle, don't make this company one of them.

I had my truck repaired here and will definitely come back if I need any other body work. They were so accommodating with my rental car and even dropped off my vehicle at my job due to my schedule. They finished my repairs in no time and my car is back with me within the week. I have had other places in Lubbock think that they can just hold my car for days at a time before even looking at but not Gerber. Cherry on top they cleaned my car inside and out which was so nice.

The constant attitude is ridiculous. Got an estimate and they missed half the damage on the report. I called to ask when I can get my vehicle and was told they would call me back in a few hours to let me know the time. I called them back because they never did. They waited until then to tell me that my headlight was not in yet, and still waiting for them to receive it. Prior to this I have been getting calls and texts letting me know it would be done today. This is ridiculous.

I don't think they are here for doing business! After taking inspect and take my car for 3 days they told me they wouldn't work BC of easy light issue. West of time! Someone call me and asked me to change this review. Just do your job properly first!

UPDATE: I do not believe I have received any attempted contact from the General Manager or anyone with the company. As far as the first cylinder problem goes, forget about it, I got a buddy with a garage and equipment and we fixed the check engine light in 15 minutes. Anyone is welcome to try to call my cell phone at the number left on file, but I do not foresee a way to change my review due to a lack of communication, nor do I plan to change my view on this company and lack of follow through. Now, to be fair, my friend DID encourage me to reconsider my view on the paint job, as he did say they did a good job matching the color of the replacement bumper to the paint of the unit, so for that, I'm willing to concede and raise to a 2 star for that, but I still stand by my statement that there is no communication, and there is no desire to do anything to show that I'm a valued, albeit contracted, customer. If anything ever happens to any vehicle I own, I will certainly not consider bringing it here. ORIGINAL: I should have read the reviews... I was involved with a hit-and-run in the Costco parking lot. Luckily for me, video was taken, the individual was found, and everything was worked out from there. I was given the option by USAA, my insurance provider, to find another provider, but since they "highly recommended Gerber", and is close to my apartment and work, I went ahead and came here. I told them about the crash, the damage, and how after the accident, it seemed the steering was off, and the check engine light came on with a rumbling. Because of this, I went to O'Reilly's, who diagnosed it as a first cylinder issue. "It SHOULD be a simple fix" At first, was fine. I got daily updates telling me everything was going well. Everything was on schedule to be done by Monday at end-of-day. ...then suddenly, the updates stopped coming. So I called. I was assured that everything was fine, that we were on track. To make a long paragraph short, I would call a few times during the day to get a status update and re-assurance that I would have my Jeep by end-of-day. It did not happen. I guess they finally wised up, and told me that the Jeep had something come up, and had to have it checked out, but it would not be ready. They made no means to warn me this ahead of time, so I was without transportation. It took an additional two days for them to get it resolved. When I picked up the Jeep, it looked fine, but when reading over the repair log, I noticed they did not touch the check engine light like I told the appraiser. The girl called over a mechanic, who said "we were never told to do this by you or USAA". I told him I showed the appraiser the cylinder I purchased from O'Reilly, and I CERTAINLY told her because USAA told me to bring it up with her. He said if I wanted to get it repaired, I would have to take it to another mechanic, get it diagnosed and cited that it was caused by the accident. Because of this, I contacted USAA, and she told me she was going to e-mail Gerber to get this resolved, and to this date (a week and a half later), I've heard nothing from Gerber. I would STRONGLY encourage you to NOT use this company, or if you must, get EVERYTHING in writing, because they will not honor it.

Very disorganized. I scheduled an appointment for an estimate about a week in advance. When I showed up for the appointment, they knew nothing about it. I dropped off my car that day so they can begin the estimate and repair, and called today to check the status. They told me that they did nothing for the past week, and they left my car in their parking lot. It could have been burglarized in the meantime. This is supposed to be a USAA partner repair facility. I will be sure to let them know how poorly they are treating USAA's customers. Edit: I do not plan on responding to your General Manager, nor his poorly written e-mails at 10:30 at night. There is nothing for us to discuss; my experience here speaks for itself.

Insurance claim they were assigned to do. Was told they would contact me. After 2 days of nothing I stopped by and the young lady had never heard of the claim. She looked it up and found it, and stated they would take it right then but the rental car had not been coordinated. I don't do business with places where employees act like they are doing me a favor when I am the customer. Contacted the adjuster and told her I wanted to go to Renew Collision and within 20 minutes Renew called me and scheduled a drop off time. I strongly suggest everyone look at ratings of a business before giving them your business. I did after the fact and wish I had before.

Absolutely Pathetic Service – Gerber Collision Is a Joke Gerber Collision has been the most frustrating and unprofessional experience I’ve ever had with any business. From the start, they didn’t even know we had an appointment. That was red flag #1. Since then, it’s been nothing but delay after delay. Our car has been sitting in their shop for almost a month, and now — after all that time — they suddenly say they need another part. That’s the FOURTH time this month they’ve “discovered” something new. How does that even happen unless you’re not doing your job? When I called to ask why none of this was handled at the beginning, Julie, the woman who answered the phone, gave me attitude like it was my fault for asking. She was rude, dismissive, completely unprofessional — and then hung up on me. I’ve worked with all kinds of businesses, and I can confidently say: Julie is one of the worst customer-facing employees I’ve ever dealt with. She acts like she couldn’t care less and treats customers with zero respect. If you call and end up with Julie on the line — good luck. She’ll likely talk down to you, offer no real help, and make you regret calling in the first place. Gerber should be embarrassed to have her representing them. To top it all off, the delivery date for our car has been pushed FOUR times, and every time we ask for an update, we get the same confused runaround. The general manager doesn’t have a clue either. It’s like nobody there knows what they’re doing or even cares. Avoid this place at all costs. If this is how they handle customers, I can’t imagine how they handle your car. Gerber Collision is disorganized, careless, and downright disrespectful — especially Julie. Total disaster of a company.

Have had a terrible time with Gerber. I was rear-ended a few years ago and with the other person's insurance this is where I had to go, took what felt like forever to get my car fixed, and then still had to re order parts because they broke it trying to put it on my car. It took so long that the rental car company kept threating to take away my rental. When I finally got my car back I still had to put it back in the shop because there were runs in the paint. Now this year my car got attacked by a dog chasing a rabbit and with State farm, Gerber is a preferred shop. My husband took my car up to be looked at and the front office told him she would get everything started and wait on my insurance to send everything over. well 2 weeks passed and still nothing, when he called back to follow up the front desk acted like they had no clue what he was talking about even though my insurance stated that they had been in contact with them. She then said that she vaguely remembered it and couldn't do anything because their system was down and couldn't do anything for a couple days. I gave up and am changing my repairs to another shop. It is not worth going through this again!

The responsible insurance take too much time in give a answer, but finally told me that GERBER COLISION Loop 289, make a estimate. That work for me and decided take the service. I find a personal very polite, friendly, and claire with the information. They maked a good work with my car ( BMW) and they respected the time of delivery, that is very important.
