She keeps me informed on what I need for my vehicle and always gives me the best service!! She is the reason I keep coming back to that location for services!! She is the absolute greatest!! Wish I can give her 1000 stars cause she definitely deserves it!!

I had the displeasure of working with Taylor Owens and Chad Chapman on today. After scheduling an appointment for 8am and dropping my truck off at 7am, the issue was not “diagnosed” until 345pm upon my returning to the building. Throughout the day I called and texted for updates but was given the same answer, “it has not been diagnosed yet”. What is the purpose of an appointment? But again, the truck was magically and quickly diagnosed upon my arrival to the building. Taylor, my service advisor, appeared frustrated with my concern for the timing of diagnosis and repair. And, at 4pm I was finally given the details of the repair and then urged to make a decision as the service technician was scheduled to leave at 5pm and the repair would take 1hr. Chad, the sales manager, was nonchalant in regard to my being inconvenienced (waiting 8+ hrs for a 30min diagnosis and an 1hr long repair). Eventually I was given a discount for the repair but Gerry Lane will NEVER have to worry about my truck being serviced there EVER again. Other reviews are consistent with my experience. If timing or customer service is a concern for you, consider another service department! If you have a WHOLE DAY to waste, Gerry Lane is the service department for you ❤️ The issue.. powered driver seat stuck!

My car has spent the greater part of 2 months at this dealership for a coolant leak. Over $300 just to look at it. It took the dealership 3 weeks to perform a repair on my car to replace a heating core and ECU. I had to contact the dealership daily because there was next to zero communication on what the delay was. After paying over 4k for this repair and replacing the ECU I was told my alternator was also going to need to be replaced and it would cost an additional 1k. I said no and picked up the car and learned to replace the alternator myself for $350 and about 45 minutes of work. Discovered the leak was not repaired and took the car back to the dealership. Was told this was now a different problem thermostat and it would cost over $500 to repair. Btw this was not under warranty of the original repair. Spoke with asst mgr and was able to work with the price by about $100. 2 weeks later my car was ready. Drove it for a day and discovered the leak still isn't repaired. Now the car is once again back in the shop and I just can't wait to hear what they will try to tell me next. Funny side note, since they replaced the ECU they did not reprogram the key fabs or replace so now my remote start/car alarm/keyless locks don't work. I assume they will try to charge me for this too. Why wouldn't the fix this? The facility is covered in trash parking lots and surrounding areas. I regret bringing my car here. Maybe I should have just said no to the original repair because I seriously question the integrity of the mechanics and managers at this point. Nearly 5k in and two months later I still have a coolant leak and no car. Picked the vehicle up again a few days later after being assured by service representative that the car would be fixed and that they would do a 20 mile test on the vehicle. It has been just over a week and once again the car is leaking coolant… this would be the 4th time I will have to return to have service work done on a repair I am already making payments on. What accountability are these people taking for these kinds of mistakes? Good mechanics fix a mistake, bad mechanics let them drive out the shop. Spoke with the service manager over the phone seeking to either have this repair expedited or to see if the dealership could accommodate traveling while my car was returning to the shop and was asked to take is review down. When I asked him why I should do that he told me I was a liar and that the dates I wrote in the review were off. You’re here arguing with me about how many weeks the car was in the shop when your people have told me 3 times that the car is ready and I’m frustrated and looking for answers from the person in charge. He said that they had done their best to accommodate me and resolve the issue and that he thought I said I was never going back there again. The issue is not resolved! I asked him “do you think this issue is resolved?” How shady to ask a dissatisfied customer to remove a review and call them a liar to boot. Trust me I wouldn’t return here by choice but now that I am paying this repair off that still isn’t complete. 0/5 stars

They refused to accept my CPO Warranty maintenance agreement and said it was expired when in fact it was not. After showing proof that my Warranty does not expire until February 2026 the service advisor and manager told me i still had to pay for the service for my vehicle even though it was suppose to be free of charge. I even pulled the information up on Chevrolet website and I was told that was not accurate. Therefore, I called Chevrolet Customer Care and they started a case and I am waiting on them to contact me.

After being refused service for a check engine light at another local dealership (rhymes with ball car), we arrived at Gerry Lane with modest expectations. Fortunately our experience was the opposite of our first service attempt of the day. Problem diagnosed before lunch and parts on order by dinner. The service folks here were helpful and pleasant to deal with and delivered on their promises. Also impressed with the drive thru scanner and service stack display. Comforting to know that evidence of your vehicle’s condition is recorded and that your paperwork won’t get lost in the shuffle. Thanks for your outstanding service!

Update to original post: I had initially taken my 2010 Chevy Malibu into the service center over a month ago to have the steering column torque sensor replaced. During this process, the technician damaged a trim panel piece. Despite attempts by dealership over the past several weeks to locate a part, a new replacement part could not be ordered due to the car's age. After speaking to the parts manager earlier today, we reached an agreement to compensate me for the replacement cost of the part. I appreciated this resolution. Thank you Gerry Lane.

Id like to preface this review by stating I’ve never made a review on google before, but need others to know about this facility. Went through the typical process of getting numbers from KBB, sending the appraisal number over to the dealership, making the appointment letting them know I’d like to negotiate the appraisal offer, etc. Very straightforward process. I arrive at my time slot on time, no one was there to appraise the car. Sat down with a salesman, told him why I was there and he went “looking” for someone to appraise my car. I saw him walk back, do nothing, and come back and said straight to my face, “yeah I don’t know where anyone is at”. Okay….can you let your manager of the situation? He’s right up front and I see him doing nothing. Manger just tells me my appraisal number is too high without looking at the vehicle…..great service. Don’t go there for anything if you value your assets.

This company is a thief. I brought my car here trusting in them. They told me the diagnosis fees were $300. I approved that with the tax which came out to be $380. I approve that Mark, the service man called me and told me they need to go into the trunk and do something that my fee were gonna be $580. I approve that all this is just for a diagnostic not to repair anything when I showed up to pick up my car. They told me my diagnostic fee was $1025. What are you diagnosing an airplane I did not approve these charges. I had to pay this amount just to get my car out, but I am going to take them to small claims court. Can you imagine diagnostic charges of $1025 when they tell you the diagnostic charge was $300.00 I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone I paid the invoice and wrote on the invoice that I didn't authorize no approve a diagnosis of $1025 and I am going to take them to small claims court. If you’re a single mom or anyone thatThings have changed after the new management and Mr. Gerry Lane passed who can afford to be overcharged for a vehicle repairing fees and diagnosis fees, I wouldn’t recommend you to this place cause they’re not honest Things have changed after the new management and Mr. Gerry Lane passed away i’m a small business owner and I understand the meeting of a Google review but I had to post this review because this is unfair business practice to overcharge and and apply unauthorized charges forced me to pay a diagnosis fee of $1025. Find your company that’s gonna be fair and that you could trust this is not the one and you will notice they’re gonna come back with the generic pre-printed reply to your pose, putting your first name down there telling you to get in contact with them but it’s all a host do like I’m doing and take themto court if you have been wronged. Stay away from this company if you wish not to be take advantage of and robbed Good luck

I keep getting harassed about leaving a review in my email so here ya go! This was my first and last time going to this particular location for an oil change. I had an appointment for 11am but showed up at 10:36am. Even after the check in process and putting my information in the system, everything with that was still completed before my appointment time. I had already been in the waiting area for an hr and a half and over heard other customers saying how they've been there since 7:30am (it was currently noon at this time), as well as another customer saying someone told him it was going to be a 3 hr wait. I said to myself, no sir, I had an appointment. Anyway, my man called me and asked if I was still at the dealership and I said yes, that's when I told him I over heard someone saying the wait is 3 hours. He told me he would've left. At that point, I went outside and asked the guy who checked me in how long the wait was for an oil change because someone inside said he was told it was 3 hrs. He responded it shouldn't be for me because I have an appointment. I told him to go get my car because that defeats the purpose of making an appointment. No one wants to be sitting in a dealership for an oil change on their vacation for an hr and a half, let along 3 hrs. I was standing outside waiting for my car when I saw someone pull up to one of the service areas. I walked over to him as he was popping the hood and asked, Oh you're going to service it now? He said yes it won't take long. Again, I said to myself, sooo, why wasn't this done when I first pulled up? Where did you all even take the car? It's like they parked it around back or something when they went to go retrieve my vehicle. If everyone at this location wasn't so hell bent on greeting every single customer multiple times during their service and the men wasn't so hung up on flirting with the ladies, maybe they could actually get some progress done with these vehicles.

I called and spoke with Mark in service because I had attempted to get my AC fixed at Southern Chevrolet in Alexandria, LA 3 times with no success. Mark immediately took action to secure me a loaner vehicle, he dealt with the warranty division for me considering the three previous failed attempts with Southern Chevrolet. He assured me I would be taken care of and he and the service team absolutely succeeded. I was overall impressed with the professional staff, while I was there I was kept informed and my time in the waiting area was very comfortable. The cleaning crew goes above and beyond by keeping everything vacuumed and the restrooms cleaned. In hindsight I wish I would have came to Gerry Lane in the beginning instead of Southern Chevrolet, but am glad I finally got to the right place. My AC is now working perfectly fine and blowing cold. Thank you Mark and Gerry Lane team!

The dealer applied unauthorized charges to my account of over $300 a matter of fact they charged me $1025 to diagnose my car without my written permission or verbal permission which I’m in the process of filing a small claim suit against this company. The diagnosis fee has supposed to be $300 with tax $380 then he told me they had to get into the trunk which my trunk open so my charge was gonna be $580 which I thought that was ridiculous but I accept that when I showed up to pick up my car They told me I owe $1025 and wouldn’t release my car until I paid it so I paid the fee and I did write on the document that I did not authorize this amoun and I’m just gonna take them to court things has changed since Mr. Gerry Lane is no longer with us. I’ve been dealing with this company for over 17 years. Things are just not the same and these charges are unjust.

Service was great! I came there said what I needed done and they did it. However even though my car didn’t crank you wanted to charge me an extra 535 to see why it wouldn’t start. Mind you the charges included small things like adding fluid, changing spark plugs, filters, ect. That was unnecessary for a loose starter wire.

I brought my truck in because it had a misfire in one of the engine cylinders. After paying over $4,000, they told me it would be ready in a week. I kept calling over and over, and all I got were excuses and “new problems” they supposedly found. It’s been three weeks and I STILL don’t have my vehicle back. I really hope I don’t have to come back here to update this review. If my advice means anything to you: do NOT bring your vehicle to this place unless you want a massive headache.

We brought our vehicle in for radiator/onstar repairs in August. We were initially told to drop it off that morning and it would be ready by end of day. First lie! They left us stranded with no vehicle and would not give a rental because it would be fixed by end of the next day. Second lie!! Finally, after complaining to someone in sales (who was great by the way)we received a rental the next day. Fast forward 5 days later we were told our truck was finally ready but not the Onstar system as there was a part needed. The part is finally in and has been but we have to risk dropping off our vehicle and not being able to pickup same day because “they’re not sure how busy the technicians schedule is”! How about schedule it accordingly??!! I don’t care about dropping it off at open as long I’m not stranded because your service department is incapable of scheduling!!!

I am truly disappointed. After keeping my vehicle for 38 days, the car was released to me in worst condition than when I brought it in. And it had no coolant in it. I also noticed that some of the information on the invoice was untrue! After learning about my extended warranty, they jacked up my bill from 500.00 to 5000.00. I'm truly done with this place.

I checked my vehicle in the evening prior to my service appointment. It was appointment day and I was keeping up with the status and it kept saying in service which let me knew that it was being worked on. I called after 1130 to check and was told that the tech who checked in was off so I inquired as to who responsibility was it to contact me because the tech who checked in wasn't the person who made the appointment with me. After the 2nd time calling due to the service people hanging up the phone after picking it up, the person apologized and stated that they were bringing her my keys and it was ready. Not a good experience this time at all.

Review is for zacahry location but they keep getting google to remove it. Took vehicle in mid November 2025, the 14th to be exact. Took a week to get any correspondence and it has been horrible since. As of MLK 2026 no vehicle returned. Service writer really screwed it up and dealer offered to handle all repairs at their cost after I suggested I would be contacting a lawyer after repair cost estimate went up 1000% and I have a lifetime warranty. However that was before christmas and again no vehicle yet. I am patient but this place is a joke Tried calling with no return call as of this review. Never mind there has been random intermittent communications via text. Its always we need more time, part or $$$ even though I have a lifetime warranty. Now it's just that they dont know what they are doing in my opinion and making excuses. Luckily I dont need the vehicle and that is the only reason I am still just laughing at how inept this place is. Called and Finally got through and talked to a dealership manager. He didn't recall details well and I had to remind him of it all. I recorded conversation for legal purposes. They claimed delay was because I said it wasn't urgent. Well 2 months and no effort on their end is more than enough patience on my end I feel. Promised a call back but didnt get one. Had to call them back. No one in service got a message to call me Apparently now there is something else they need to fix. Yet the person an just hour ago didn't know this. Such a joke. Going to take another week or so to get more parts. Or so I am told No one has named the part being referred to. Yet I've been told twice parts have come in and then were defective. Forward to No uodate other than we are still waiting for a part that they cannot tell me name of. Uodate Feb 2 2026 Another week and another "failed part on arrival" amazing how many bad parts they seem to get. Feb 6 Another week of no updates or call backs. Called and was told I would get a call back on status. Still nothing and now they habe stopped responding to texts which they initiated.
