Go Green does a great job with my car. I'm a repeat customer, have been going for a couple of years, since I moved to Newport News. When I ask to have my car checked out, they always take time to give a full assessment, and tell me when I'll be needing certain maintenance and repairs. Unlike other mechanics, they don't just do the repairs and demand that I pay, or insist that the repairs must be done now. Tyrone and Leslie are great!

I actually love this place. I was referred to him by a friend and ended up taking into nieces car. It couldn't be fixed simply because she didn't have the money but he was so willing to help amd tell her what was wrong and ways to fix it. Ty is a good guy. I sent my boyfriend to him for his truck and he fixed it right up! He also used rain water for his company which is so cool and truly stays consistent with his name of "go green"

Traveling on the road my car started making some questionable noises. I stopped by Go Green Auto Care and was met by Tyrone the owner. I immediately knew I was in good hands. He was kind, friendly, and informative. He got us back up and running quickly so I could get back on the road with my family. I can’t recommend Go Green enough.

My friend and her son went in for repairs. She went in for breaks, thought the repair was complete and fixed. The breaks failed and she was in an accident due to break failure. She took it to a different mechanic after the accident who told her they were installed incorrectly. Her son went in for transmission repair and had them also do a tire rotation. After the fix his tire fell off while driving and there were lug nuts missing. DO NOT use this shop. The mechanic doesn't know what he's doing and has made mistakes that could have been fatal.

The owner operator is a pleasure to do business with. Diagnosed the issue with our minivan and fixed it in short order. He let us know an actual repair wasn't needed. That it was just a loose connection. Only charged us a diagnosis fee. Way to go Ty. Your the best.

If I could give this business no stars I would. I told this guy Ty that my wife’s car needed an alternator but he supposedly fixed everything but that. Passed the inspection with two lights still out after I told them they were out. He gets an F in my opinion. Never going back! And now the car is sitting in my lot dead because he either didn’t do a diagnostics or doesn’t know what he’s doing. $1245.00For nothing thanks

5 stars is not enough!! I was in town from North Carolina for a week helping a relative recovering from a surgery. The check engine light came on on my 2012 Kia. I called and he said he could work me in... And I took it over, fully expecting to have to drop it off and go back and get it later. His lot was full and obviously he was busy, but he stopped what he was doing, came out, plugged my car in and diagnosed the problem and got me fixed in on my way in ten minutes.... Absolutely amazing service that you just don't find anywhere these days. Thank you!!!

Recently I had a bunch of lights pop on in my car. Tried calling the dealership and dealt with a while lot of apathy and BS. Was recommended to call Go Green Auto Care. I was impressed by the experience. They were able to see me in fairly short order. They were upfront and clear the entire process, extremely fair prices, and the customer service went above and beyond. I was in a crappy situation, and Go Green Auto Care made it better.

I think the honesty of the owner and the affordability of pricing is unbeatable. I went in thinking I’d have to change all brake pads but he said only the front ones needed to be changed. I wish he was up front with his fee's, I got a $30 credit card fee and he said that he used to pay it, but now he makes his customers pay it. He doesn't take checks, once I was there to pick up my car he said I could pay cash. Who carries $800 around. Took 4 days to fix this time. I'm not say that I wouldn't go back but he surely pissed off a customer without upfront transparency l.

Ty (Tyrone) is very friendly, hard working, and very knowledgeable! He fixed my steering column when other mechanics just didn't bother with it and left me dealing with a constant clicking noise. Cannot say enough good stuff about this shop and the owner !! If you’re looking for an honest mechanic and a good laugh, this is the place! The owner is hilarious, super friendly, and actually makes car repairs a little less painful. He did a great job explaining everything about my blown head gasket repair (no small job), kept me updated throughout, and didn’t talk down to me like some shops do. I even scheduled an inspection on my other car. Quick, smooth, and I was in and out in no time. Bonus: his responses to online reviews are comedy gold. Highly recommend for both quality work and quality banter!
