Matt and the other technician that worked on my Escape were so awesome! They were able to identify quickly the issue I was having. The waiting area was comfortable and they did a great job on my vehicle and got it done quicker than what was originally stated. They got me in right away when I had an issue and did such a great job on my car. Will go to them for all my brake issues.

We took our 1976 Chevy C10 pickup in for an overall inspection of the brakes and front end. The staff did a thorough job, and we decided on a game plan for bringing it back better than factory. I used to be a Les Schwab customer but after coming here I think I found my new shop. Their prices are excellent compared to les Schwab and there service is even better. I spoke with Jeremy and he was extremely kind, positive, knowledgeable, and personable. My tesla model 3 was having suspension squeaks so I called golden rule and they said just bring it in we won’t charge you. Sure enough, they didn’t charge me!! They even went above and beyond and greased all 4 upper control arms and ball joints (it was on only one that was squeaking). The fact they squeezed me in so quickly and went above and beyond for service was amazing. I will be taking all my cars here from now on. I just want to give an extra shoutout to Jeremy. He was awesome!! I enjoyed chatting with him about cars.

Could not be happier! Golden Rule … you have me and my family customers for life ! My wife and I over the last couple months have taken both of our vehicles to different shops in Spokane and always had the same outcome. There was something wrong and no one seemed to care or knew what it was .So I gave Golden Rule a shot. Wowza !! Couldn’t be happier with the professionalism and expertise . They discovered some very serious safety issues with our brakes that others simply looked over . On both repairs we received text alerts and photos every step of the way during the repair process so there were no surprises. Very professional and very thorough. I took my classic 1984 truck in for a brake service and to check a leak on the rear wheel. They solved the leak and replaced my brakes to new. It was a quick and painless service. I felt that their labor cost was fair. There was some extra work needed to solve an old brake line, after some trouble shooting, they replaces the cable and now my truck functions excellent!

Matt was wonderful- I really feel like this place does not take advantage of you. I went to Firestone and they said my rear brakes and rotors needed to be replaced for about $1200. Golden Rule pointed out that my fronts also needed to be replaced and the total for BOTH was $1100. If you’re a single woman or just totally car clueless I really trust this place to not capitalize on that.

Spent $1,800 in 2021..... All new brakes all the way around rotors,calipers,pads, brake line flush... 4 years later and 15,000 miles later.... Told me the rear caliper was stuck but it was my fault because it didn't drive it enough.... Quoted another $1,500 to fix it... Told me their shop price went from $80 an hour to $120 an hour since 2021.... So here I am in my driveway fixing my truck myself... New rotor new caliper new pads... No one Greased the top slide pin.They won't get another dime of mine... My fault... not their fault. Warranties are only 20,000 miles or 2 years...

Went in just for a brake check. They came back with $5,000 total in repairs. Stated needed to have rear brakes and rotors replaced immediately as they were at a 3 and not safe. $500 ish ok sure understandable, but the suspension, struts, control arms, sway bar, rear shocks, etc blew my mind. I went to Les Schwab and came back with no issues whatsoever, rear brakes were fine and at 5 and no suspension issues. Went to Tire Rama for a 3rd option, same thing no issues and brakes at a 5. Went to a 4th mechanic for completely separate issue, but also had them look at suspension and brakes and guess what, no issues. Will never trust Golden Rule brake again.

After being quoted an absurd amount at Les Schwab on NW Blvd for rear brake replacement, I decided to call Golden Rule on Monroe for an inspection and estimate. Not only were they able to get me in the next day, they had the estimate sent via text in 1.5 hrs. I approved their recommended service for rear brake replacement at A FRACTION of the cost of Les Schwab’s quote. My vehicle was ready for pick up an hour after approving their recommended service. I will be back in the spring for my front brakes. These guys are kind, honest, quick and made me feel comfortable (in a place that can be intimidating for women!). Thank you Golden Rule on Monroe!

6 months ago I took my truck to Golden Rule on Francis. I thought I needed new brakes. They sent me away saying I had ample brake linings and suggested I check back in 6 more months to a year. I checked recently and still have brakes to last until summer. They could easily have said I needed brakes now but they knew honesty would earn my trust. We were told the rear brakes were shot and we wanted a second opinion. Golden Rule was recommended. They did the most detailed and complete inspection, including pictures that we’ve ever had. Discovering something we didn’t even know about that the car dealer we bought from had done years prior. Anyway, in a matter of a few hours the car had new brakes, and it sure feels good. I called 5 diff mechanic shops and none of them would fix my car or even attempt too look at it and golden rule brake didn’t hesitate at all to set me up with an appointment and they are very fair priced very straight to the point and fixed my car within a day and I couldn’t be more happier they’re hardworking good people that I highly recommend if nobody will do it they will! I’d say they’re very trustworthy and reliable people that will do the job right and explain everything clear as day with picture proof!
