I’ve always had a great experience at Grease Monkey but the Idaho Falls location on Channing Way just exceeded my expectations. I showed up near closing hoping to get an oil change and they still helped me without making me feel like a burden at all. Then they fixed a rock chip on my windshield that a competitor told me couldn’t be fixed. All in about 20 minutes. Great attitude, knowledgeable, and friendly! Thank you!!!

Went there to get my oil changed and had no problem. Waited for about five minutes in the lane, and the entire process took about 20 minutes. No issues to report, pretty clean, the staff was very friendly. I went there to take advantage of the 50% veterans discount, which I think is great and will always support businesses that do this for veterans.

My husband and I stopped at Dixie's Diner for lunch. We noticed a elderly lady walking with canes(2) in the parking lot. She had accidently locked her car key in her vehicle. I walked across the street to Grease Monkey and asked if someone would be able to help her unlock her car. Alex came over with the equipment to make entry. He had the car unlocked in less than five minutes. He was very friendly and very kind. He wouldn't accept payment for his service. Alex and the other young man working with him were extraordinary in coming to the assistance of a senior needing help. Great job Grease Monkey in hiring exceptional young men.

I took my VW Touareg there for oil change and to have my differential fluid checked and my transfer case also. Before going I called and verified the could check and service the differentials and transfer case during my oil change visit and they had the proper gear lube for VW. I arrived around 4pm oct 14th and talk to the service agent at the counter and discussed what services I was requesting, they said ok and pulled my car upto the service bay and started performing service. While I was waiting they technician approached me and said the oil change was going to be around $115.00 due to oil needed by my car and wanted to know if I wanted them to also check the gearbox/transmission fluid at the same time. I told him sure if it doesn't hurt anything. I waited around till 6:30pm for the services to be performed and when I went to pay at the counter Zac the manager said his computer was having issue and they couldn't edit the services received check list to show all services performed. I paid my bill and left. I got about a mile down the road and the transmission started shifting really hard and making a clanging noise. I called Teton VW Service and they said to stop driving the car and suspected the transmission was probably low of fluid as its a seal system and should never be opened unless changing the fluid out completely. I called and left a message at grease monkey corporate about what had transpired and what the dealer said was most likely this problem. The transmision never had any issue before I took it to Grease Monkey. I talked with Zac the next morning and he said they didn't touch the transmission or even check the differentials or transfer case only did an oil change. Well I called corporate and got a response from Chris and he said he wanted to come inspect my car at my house, I told him that was fine as it was still awaiting the tow truck to take it over to Teton VW but I wanted to have a third party mechanic witness his inspection he said that was fine. I called the third party mechanic and Randy with Little Rat automotive was on his way over at my request. In the meantime Chris from Grease monkey was on his way over too, I pulled the car up onto ramps in my driveway so they could perform the requested inspection, Chris threatened me if they couldn't inspect it they wouldn't warranty any work. So as I exited the vehicle Chris drove up and got out of his Nissan truck and walked over and started to get under the car, I told him the independent mechanic was still on his way and I wanted him to wait. He flat out ignored my request and got under the car to take pictures and who knows what else. I had just had total knee replacement done and can't kneel at this time hence the independent mechanic to witness the interaction. I had to get down on the ground to watch what Chris was doing as he was being aggressive. Upon taking pictures of the fill plug which hadn't been opened and picture of the check fluid level plug which had been removed, Just don't want others to make a $703.82 dollar mistake and have to get there car repaired at the dealer after asking for services at Grease Monkey, Then to get told they never did the services that were requested by me. I was there from 4pm - 6:30pm and it don't take 2.5hrs for and oil change.

It took a while - even with an appointment. I did have an extra unexpected tire alignment, but I felt like it just took a while with no one coming in and a couple of people standing around. another group doing the same as me came in twenty minutes later and left twenty minutes earlier. I just wasn’t expecting to be there over 2 hours. The tech caught at the end that the oil wasn’t filled up to full which caused another wait. And the left side of my car looked to be wiped with dirty rags that I didn’t notice until today.

From the moment I spoke with Brittney on the phone, she was so kind and helpful. When I got to the shop, she took the time to explain what was going on with my car and what needed to be done. Even though it wasn’t the news I wanted to hear, she was so understanding and patient with me. Brittney honestly went above and beyond. They walk you through what to expect while offering beverages and snacks. The waiting room was super clean and maintained! After the vehicle is serviced they explain potential things to watch for and are upfront with pricing. I plan to use this location from here on out!! (And! And!
