I’ve been a regular customer for almost 10 years. I’ve also introduced my wife to the shop a few years ago. The service provided by Audra (Owner) and her team has been nothing but spectacular. I can speak from doing regular maintenance work with them such as oil changes, tire rotations, brakes and tires. However you want to do it, you can just pay for the labor and buy the parts yourself. Their technicians are pretty good as they also provided us with recommendations and problem areas to look out for without the pressure to get the work repaired right away.

I had a very bad experience with this place. These people are running a scam — they overcharge customers with unreasonable fees. Worse, they remove items from inside the vehicles and sell them. This woman and her boyfriend tried to charge me $600 just to check a warning light. They kept my car for a whole day and told me to return the next day. When I went back, they said they still hadn’t checked the car and insisted I pay $600 before they would even look at it. The actual issue was just a simple sensor problem — a common issue in many cars. I told them I wasn’t going to pay and asked for my car keys back. The woman started arguing with me, and I had to call the police to get my car returned. The police gave them a warning and said if they receive another complaint, the shop owners could be arrested. The most interesting — and honestly funniest — part was that when the police were on their way, the woman ran off and left her boyfriend behind! I even have a video of it, and I’ll be uploading it to social media soon. 😂 I strongly urge everyone: if they try to overcharge you or remove anything from your vehicle, report them to the police immediately. We need to stand up against these kinds of dishonest people so others don’t become victims.

So, had a great experience here today. Car had overheated, refilled the coolant but it overheated again the next day. Carrie said we could come in immediately, so we did and explained the situation. Since we hadn't seen a coolant leak, her initial guess was that we'd need the thermostat assembly replaced, as that's a known issue with our make and model. We left it with them, and within two hours they let us know that in fact we simply had neglected to also add coolant to the radiator, as is sometimes necessary when an engine overheats. We went from a several hundred dollar repair to less than a hundred. There were multiple ways in which they could have charged us more, starting from additional labor and fees to having just said "yep, its the assembly" and us having to do a far more expensive repair. Long story short, Carrie is extremely personable / awesome, and her family / everyone else who works here is above board and knows their business. Will definitely go back the next time we have an issue.

Had a wonderful time at the Women Auto Know workshop! I wanted to learn a little more about car basics in preparation for the winter months and brought my friend with me. Audra not only explained concepts very easily but also made it fun and interactive. After we talked through basic topics like changing engine filters, jump starting a battery, or what to look for in tire wear, we would apply those to props or point them out on our vehicles to practice what we just learned. It is so great of Audra to put on this free workshop to help educate the public on how to better troubleshoot issues and become an informed car owner. I left feeling more confident on how to talk about car maintenance when bringing my vehicle into the shop or what to look for when a warning light comes on. Would highly recommend this short, informational workshop to anyone who is looking to improve their car maintenance skills!

I am a 56-year-old Chinese woman who has lived in the U.S. for 33 years. I brought my Honda Accord to this shop only to replace the battery. My car has only 11,000 miles on it over the past 3 years. Shockingly, the next day, the owner gave me a $2,900 bill and falsely claimed there were electrical and alternator issues. That was a complete lie. Later, I discovered they removed my white LED headlights without my knowledge and even replaced my car’s original front rotors—something I never authorized. This was a dishonest and shameful act. Do not trust these people. Think twice before doing business with them. If they can do this to me, they can do it to anyone. Stay away.

I cannot say enough good things about Great Bear, they saved me from paying alot of money to another place for a transmission I didn't actually need. Carrie was so helpful and kind to me when I was really stressed because I thought I needed the transmission. The mechanics were wonderful as well, they took me and showed me exactly what was wrong with my car and told me it was a tire problem not a transmission problem. I will always be grateful to them for helping me out and I'm definitely going back there for any car issues from now on! Thank you!

Update 2025: This will probably be my last update for my 2015 Scion tC because I'm deciding to sell it for financial reasons as well as hope that I can finally get my dream car to obviously bring in to Great Bear to maintain. 🤩 Brought my tC in sometime between end of September and beginning of October for a quick check because my check engine light showed up. They were busy when I showed up unannounced but were flexible to check my issue when their mechanics had a moment. Left my car there and waited elsewhere for a diagnosis. Luckily, it was just a sensor that was dirty involving turning off/on my traction option on my car. Returned to pick up the car and have been driving it since with no issue. The price this day was amazing, service outstanding as always and just grateful I can rely on Great Bear to always keep my car in tip top shape and have sincere peace of mind. Side note: After I'm able to sell my Scion tC 2015, in the near future, will hopefully bring in a Celica 6th generation car to start another adventure with Great Bear by my side. Stay tuned for more updates from me when I finally get my beloved 6th generation Celica. I cannot emphasize enough how I feel safe knowing Great Bear is there for me and any car I bring to them. 🙏 Update: 2025 Back in May went for an inspection and requested a security installation. James was extremely patient and helpful to communicate my request to the mechanics. Needless to say all of Audra's team is awesome! Turned out better than expected. I drive my tC with confidence everyday. 🙏🤓 Update 2-27-24: I still stand by my claim of great prices for the quality work Great Bear performs. They are the most honest mechanics I know so far. Please kindly bare in mind the longer the work takes the more you'll need to pay for labor but that's to be expected anywhere. If you want peace of mind that your car is taken care of properly, Great Bear Auto is the honest place to go. Grateful they are my mechanics and will be a long time customer. Audra and her front desk team needs strong appraisal too. John is very charismatic, listens to everything you request and is excited for you. Appreciate greatly his willingness to always try to help. Carrie is kind as well, genuinely caring to work with you and your needs. Audra is just the most amazing, honest and most helpful person I have encountered. Her leadership is reflected by the work achieved by everyone at Great Bear Auto. For the past year and change, I have gone to them reliably fixing all my issues for my 2015 Scion tC. This shop is incredibly reliable and truly puts the customer first. Highly recommended! I have extreme light sensitivity due to a lasik eye surgery and carry a Tint Exemption sticker. Unlike other places that give you a hard time, they took one look, understood immediately, and didn't ask a single unnecessary question. The technician was also extremely thoughtful—instead of just slapping the inspection sticker directly onto the glass (which would have ruined my tint), they came to inform me first. I’ve found my go-to shop. I’ll definitely be coming back for all my future car needs!
