9.19.2025 Happy to say they (Owners) made it right by us. Beware of Negligent Service – Serious Safety Concern I brought my car here for a simple oil change, and the mechanic cracked the inside threads of my oil pan while tightening the drain plug. Instead of being honest, they released the car back to my wife — who drove it daily on the turnpike — without warning. If the oil had leaked out completely, the engine could have seized, causing major damage or even a dangerous breakdown. When I confronted them, Lenny claimed they did nothing wrong, insisted they “do excellent work,” and then charged her nearly $1,000 to repair the very damage they caused. My Lexus is only 5 years old with no prior issues — and this shop has been the only place to perform oil changes since 2023. If you value your car, your money, and your safety, I strongly recommend avoiding this business. A routine oil change should never leave you with a broken vehicle and a massive repair bill. 9.11.2025 BETH: No you HAVE NOT? Lenny did (1x) and i am in no mood to speak with that guy! B.T.W. I required the old part from Lenny (said ok) and HE DID NOT provide it - not in the car, where is it?

Great Bear is a great auto shop with reasonable pricing and a very quick and efficient work ethic. The people seem very trustworthy, I didn’t feel oversold on anything, and they communicate frequently and provide updates as well as pictures to analyze the issues they’re discussing about the car. They worked to fit me in without an appointment and made sure it was completed within my required limit. Great experience and I’d definitely recommend

I found Great Bear on Yelp and noticed that they had great reviews and a 4.8 out of 5 ⭐️’s. And going to a mechanic shop is a stressful process because not all mechanics are honest from my previous experiences. I brought my Lexus IS 250 on Friday August 1st and spoke to Horacio. I was having second thoughts on leaving my vehicle however because of the reviews and because I noticed that Mr. Lenny always responded to the reviews whether good or bad. I left my car and Horacio gave me a ride back home which is like 5 minutes away, I was impressed with that service as well. Horacio was honest in telling me ahead of time that my vehicle would be looked at next day since they had a few vehicles ahead of mine which was ok. The next morning Juanita called me to advise of my recommendations and she was amazing as well! I called her 3 times to add on some recommendations which added up to a lot of money but it was worth it. She said my vehicle would be ready that Saturday and she was honest, the vehicle was ready right at 5pm. I wasn’t even expecting it to be ready that Saturday because of the amount of work that went in. I have two more vehicles I currently take to Rick case for service however for my Lexus and other vehicle I will be coming back and I will refer my friends and family. 10/10 kudos to Lenny’s leadership and the team at great bear automotive. Thank you Jay (the Vargas family).

Update: Called Lenny which instructed me to take the car back..They found the problem, promptly fixed it and its running great, no leaks or exhaust fumes present. Lenny and Juanita were very kind and made sure problem was properly corrected. Thank you ! Happycustomer !!! Very upset and angry. Took car for exhaust fume and minor leak that smelled like fuel.Drove car 4 times due to illness haven't used it often. Each time smelled more fuel and the leak has gone from a couple of drops to a puddle. My driveway now is ruined. Lenny was pleasant and had driven me home after drop off. Car now is worst than when I bought it in and the repair bill which included other things went from original estimate to over 1,000 more and the car was not fixed as I was assured. I went there due to reviews citing great work and fair prices, was not aware reviews were for previous owners. I don't agree with the pricing as being fair, was charged for every little thing. They need to fix what I originally bought it in for and paid for and I don't want to be told I need to pay extra again . I feel they missed something or maybe what they replaced wasn't the problem after all. To say I'm hugely dissapointed and upset is an understatement.
