Requested a bumper to bumper safety inspection - they never checked the rear brakes, but said they were good. Once I insisted they check more thoroughly, the rear brakes were bad, and master cylinder bad. Reuben had no problem trying to sell a throttle body cleaning though. SMH.

Hays has a very non-intimidating atmosphere- my car trouble was explained simply, plainly, and in a way I could easily understand. They did an amazing job on my car, and didn't try to convince me that I needed any unnecessary or extra repairs! I will be coming back for any future repairs!

I had a small issue on my 2017 MKC engine skid plate while vacationing in Ventura. Call them on a Friday afternoon, arrived 15 minutes later and the plate was reinstalled in 10 minutes. The amazing part was that they did not charge me. They realized I would be driving back to Oregon the next day and went out of their way to help. Some companies might have wanted to sell me a new plate, but they just wanted to help me. Anyone living near Ventura should trust this company. They are solid.

So I called Hays automotive which was first on my list I google for the intoxlock device. The woman who answered the phone was so rude. And made me feel so stupid. First of all I was calling to get quotes for a friend who works and doesn’t get off till after 5pm. Being a girl I thought I had all the proper information, which I didn’t!!! The first question she asked me was the make model and year of the car the interlock was going to be installed in. Granted a good question. I was like oh for sure I’ll get it right now AND SHE HUNG UP ON ME. !!!! Rude. I will not be calling back.

I took my car there on several occasions to fix my cars ignition problem. It wasn't fixed after replacing several things. One thing after another was replaced and then I still had pinging. Plugs were replaced and carburetor cleaned and got the car back still pinging. I called again to have a starting problem solved. They wouldn't have my business because I gave a low review. In stead of making it better they wouldn't fix my car. I spent over $1600 there and my problem wasnt fixed. Why would i give a good review? They told me one thing after another.. had to go somewhere else after spending way too much money there. So yes you still have a low score.

This place will scratch and curb your tires. Be sure to check your wheels after they service your car. I got a brand new car w brand new wheels, I even washed the car before taking it in. I see my back left driver side wheel is curbed. CHECK YOUR WHEELS AFTER THEY SERVICE YOUR CAR.

Absolutely Excellent ! We have a property management Chevy Express box truck that the transmission went out in which we needed back on the road, fast ! Everywhere around said it would be weeks (5-7 business days to get the transmission delivered and then 3-5 days to replace it). Brandon Hays sourced a transmission and replaced it in 3 days ! He and his team were super professional, polite, and helpful from the first call. I drove them crazy with questions which they handled very cooly and kindly. They are great! We were having issues with our AC in our VW Atlas. We called and spoke to a very pleasant man, made an appointment and took our car in early in the am By 10 am he had already found the issue, called us and we picked up our car at 3:15 pm. We were so pleased with their exceptional service and how quickly they had it repaired. They knew we had rented a car for while ours was in the shop. Would happily recommend them. Knowledgeable, professional, and great to work with.

They tried to get me to pay for a part I already have on my vehicle. I purchased new tires from the store next door, and they recommended I take my vehicle here to get an alignment. When I arrived, I asked for my alignment to be checked, and handed over my keys. In about 45 minutes they came back with the alignment having been done, and asking for a total of $109. I had expected to sign off before any work was to be done, but perhaps this was a miscommunication. They stated that my vehicle had excessive front left camber, and that I would need an adjustable camber bolt to bring the camber in. I was quoted at $189 for the part and installation. I told the tech that I already had an adjustable camber bolt in the front, and that I could not remember if it was on the left or right side. He said he would double check. 5 minutes later, my car was brought to me, with no mention of the adjustable camber bolt. The alignment looked good on paper, except for excessive front left camber. I then took my vehicle to my preferred shop, and they looked at the history and saw that I did indeed have an adjustable camber bolt on the front left side. I was charged an additional $20 for the part and installation of that part during the alignment the last time I had brought my vehicle here, months prior. I have no idea how they could advise me to purchase and install a part that has been confirmed to be on my vehicle. My preferred shop has offered to fix my alignment completely free. I will never bring my vehicles here, and I recommend everyone else do the same.

I hate to write this, because I believe they are very good mechanics, honest and fast. I believe the quality of their work is top flight. I think they pride themselves in their professionalism, quality of their work and materials, and the efficient and fast turn around time, all excellent. I do wish I had read the reviews first. I was referred by America’s Tire so it just seemed like a good recommendation and easy cuz they were right next door. I don’t think are just about the money and profit. I don’t think they gouge. I think they just value their higher level of service and quality. I just regret not taking it to my normal tire and brake guy because he is A Lot Cheaper I believe. My guy just isn’t as professional… but I believe I paid top dollar and wish I went some place cheaper without the high end service. ChatGpt cost range makes me feel gouged. My bad, shame on me.
