I've had a problem with my Ford Escape Hybrid 2007 since April. My car would suddenly show a red triangle with exclamation on the dashboard with a message that says " stop the car now" at the same time acceleration power is lost. I restart the car within a minute and it would start and run for about 10 minutes and the problem would repeat every 10 minutes. I took it to a couple of mechanics and they diagnosed it with a code ( P0A3E) but unable to fix it and told me that its probably the hybrid battery. They suggested to take it to the dealer. I looked in the internet and other people have similar problems and have been saying that it could be the coolant pump or throttle body. I went to one mechanic today who told me to leave my car and will check it out for $140 and this will not apply to the repair.I told him that I would think about it.I took it to Hernandes after finding his name on the internet. I actually prayed that I can find a mechanic who would be honest and would not charge me an arm and a leg. I took my car in. He checked it out right away and got under my car and found a twisted hose that lead to the coolant pump. He worked on it for one hour and charged me much less than what I was quoted. The code disappeared. My car is fixed. Thank You Israel Hernandes. Great Job! I also thank God for answering my prayers and lead me to an honest mechanic.

My Prius started shaking on start up just like you would think it’s a misfire. After trying all inexpensive ways to repair my car, changing spark plugs . replacing ignition coils and cleaning and pressure testing fuel injectors I came to conclusion that I might have the bigger problem and I need professional help. I knew a skilled mechanic near my area where I could actually get honest opinion without run around. I drove to Hernandes Mobile Auto Repair and explained the issue. He suggested to pay attention at coolant level and of course it was low. He explained that he have repaired a few Prius engines with failed head gaskets recently with around same mileage 120-150k miles. My car was still running with minor misfire so I decided to delay repairs for little bit. Two weeks later I noticed a knocking sound when I apply more load to the engine when passing cars, on the freeway. The sound was like valve knocking. At that point I knew that this is the end of my free ride and I need to get to repair shop asap. During tear down process Israel showed me that a little plastic ring-guide that guides the direction and flow of coolant had been broken off from the the pump and was stuck inside pump housing. It is very possible that this was the cause of the whole breakdown. He replaced coolant pump during the repair. The whole replacement of head gasket took 5 days, just like he promised and on estimated budget. If you are in San Diego, CA and have similar need for Prius head gasket repair I recommend Israel at Hernandes Mobile Auto Repair. Since the repair I have driven 12k miles and all is good. Car runs just like it should with no issues.

Called for appt, told me he was too busy and to call back later. Called back at agreed time, was told too busy and not available. Asked if two days later would work, he said yes and to text me car and address info. Texted info. Sent two texts morning of repair to confirm a time, no response. Tried calling, didn’t answer, no vmail setup. Unprofessional at best

I had a water pump go out. I went to the shop instead of mobile. The quoted price seemed fair, so I didn't feel the need to get other quotes. They didn't try to get me to do other services. I've found that smaller but busy mechanic shops like this one are more honest and less expensive than the franchise shops that have more overhead due to franchise fees and a more expensive lease.

"Simply the best"...mobile mechanic experience, EVER! Just as the others posted before me, I am clearly on board with them. First of all extremely affordable 😁. I had an issue with my 2002 Ford F150, coming back from an out of state trip it developed a loud whiny noise while accelerating. I did my usual Google research and presumed it to be some sort of vacuum leak either extending towards manifold, intake and or cracked seals or gaskets. He assured me through diagnostic he could pinpoint and go from there pricing would depend on the area and difficulty in which to reach it. Needless to say after several tests he couldn't quite get a read of some smoke and exhaust thingamajig.and my further read mention bolts etc. Sure enough it was two very loose bolts allowing for the air in which the whiny vacuum noise came from. He told me to drive it I said are you serious? Like a dream, more power and smoother than before. When I asked for cost he said nothing just the diagnostic !!! Absolutely priceless I am so pleased and instantly commissioned him for my new personal mechanic!!! Very honest gentleman and for ladies this is a major deal! Please don't hesitate to call Hernandes Mobile you'll wonder why you ever called anyone else!! He also did me a quicky air-conditioning freon refill just a great day! My name is Lewanna and I definitely recommend Hernandes Mobile for all repairs!!

I’ve utilized mechanic services from Israel Hernandes for a decade. He is a very intelligent and personable mechanic in San Diego who doesn’t upsell or charge as much as other shops in town. With all due respect, his affordable work saved my day several times over and I continue to refer people to him.

THE TINY CULPRIT When I called Hernandez Auto back in March, I never expected to be remembered—but Israel, the owner, did exactly that. Three months later, when I mentioned who I was, he recounted the details of our previous conversation like it was yesterday. I was truly blown away. Who does that these days? My 92-year-old mother’s Chevy Lumina is nearly 30 years old. The turn signals hadn’t worked in 3 or 4 years. The dealership said the wiring was too outdated to repair, and it became too overwhelming for her to figure out. So, she’s been using arm signals ever since. She’d been putting off finding a solution, though I knew it was time. I did my research, called around—every shop was kind and helpful, most offered diagnostics, but appointments weren’t immediate or they referred us elsewhere. Then something told me to call Hernandez Auto again. It was more than just a repair—it was the feeling of being remembered, respected, and cared for that made me want to drive the extra 30 minutes to their shop. I figured even if it was just for a second opinion, it was worth it. Now here’s where it gets magical. I believe in asking for what I want—so I spoke it into the Universe:
Let this be done by 2:30pm. Let it be fully repaired. Let it cost well under $500. And please, let us not have to leave the car and come back another day. Israel said he’d keep in touch via text and told us he’d have an update in about an hour. I gave it an hour and forty-five minutes before following up—and just ten minutes later, he called. “It’s done,” he said. “You can come pick it up.” DONE. COMPLETE. We headed straight there, and Israel showed us the exact part that was replaced. The final cost? Way below any estimate we’d received. My mom was so pleased, she even gave him a little extra out of pure appreciation. And the cherry on top? When I texted a photo to my son, he replied: “Turn signal relay. Too easy!” This experience reminded me that visualizing works—and that there really are people out there, like Israel, who still care deeply and show it through their work. His kindness made all the difference. If I could give a million stars, I would. Oh—and his team? Courteous, respectful, and just as kind. Thank you, Israel. You made our day.

Incredible mechanic! After 2 mechanics told us they couldn’t fix it we had given up on getting our car to work. Israel got us going again and within a matter of hours. Will never take my car to someone else.
