There’s no worse feeling than having your primary vehicle stopped working. In today’s economy is even hard to find an automobile repair shop that can be trusted and respected. Pacific Automotive not only did they fix my car, but they did it in a timely manner, explained everything that needed to be done. From the moment I called to the moment I picked up my vehicle. I was greeted with professional and friendly employees to include the owner. My favorite part is no hidden fees in my car is running better than it did before it broke down. As long as I’m gonna live here in Pacific Beach area or SoCal for that matter, this is not my new garage for any issues of my vehicle as I know, I can trust their technical expertise, their professionalism, friendly environment and I know they’re not gonna try and sell me on something that doesn’t need to be done. This is a shop that I would recommend to anybody in need of basic repair repairs to major repairs .

The guys at the shop was very friendly and professional. Bernard was able to bring me in first thing in the morning and got me out before my work shift. I brought my car in because the AC was not working correctly. I thought it needed a recharge but the issue was less complicated and more cost efficient to fix. They completed the repair within the hour. They were also able to find a few more issues with the car that needed attention. John was able to get the quote out the same day. Highly recommend Pacific Automotive, these guys are quick, honest and professional!

My go to repair shop. They never turn down a repair. I’ve gone to them for literally everything I can’t do myself. I have never had to take my car back after a major repair because something went wrong. They do it right the first time, while maintaining quickness and efficiency. They explained everything they had to do to my car and took their time answering my questions. It was such a relief to have such patience and kindness shown to a senior citizen. If you are looking for a trustworthy shop for your vehicle, I would highly recommend NOT using Pacific automotive. My 30 year old 4Runner was brought in to have multiple rounds of maintenance done by Ricardo, who lives and works out of this shop. The repairs included: Timing belt and idler and tensioner pulley and tensioner Front crank and cam seals Water pump and thermostat Spark Plugs and wires power steering pump, idler and tensioner pulleys / tensioner and drive belts Steering dampener, idler arm and bell crank, drag link and tie rod ends Front rotors, pads, wheel bearings and grease seals Rear wheel cylinders, brake shoes, and hardware Right rear axle bearings and seals . All fluids and filters with transmission filter and pan gasket Oxygen sensor and PCV Exhaust piping from manifold to cat Starter Fuel injectors After investing this much money for the repairs, including the tows down to Pacific Beach an hour away from where I live so that he could perform the work, we specifically asked him repetitiously to not leave the truck unattended without having it secured as it did not have an alarm. When he locked the shop up after the last leg of repairs, he left the truck outside overnight and my truck was stolen from their parking lot. I did not receive a phone call from anyone at the shop and after four days of it being stolen I was notified and I called the police to let them know and the detective told me that they had called the vehicle in stolen, and the detective had told them that they needed to contact me, the registered owner of the vehicle to report the truck stolen in order for it to be registered in the system. So for four days, there were no eyes out looking for my truck and nine months later it still has not been returned to me. After countless efforts for months to have the shop cover it with their garage handlers insurance, as this was my daily driver, I put up a factual review stating what is stated in this review and the owner called me numerous times at work and bribed me to take it down. I have received minimal compensation considering that the truck is not easily replaceable, the amount of money that was invested in the repairs, and I still have not yet to find anything comparable to what I had. Please consider using a different business that takes pride in professionalism and their integrity. This IS NOT the place.
