Very poor time management, I got there probably around 9:00 am and was told it would be 45 mins to an hour wait time. I come back after an hour to see the autozone guy from down the plaza bringing in an oil filter that's meant for my van, an hour after my arrival which meant my car had yet to be worked on. Then they let me know I'd have to wait another a hour to get the oil change. Update: Gave review and threatened with legal action from the owner lol. Unprofessional to say the least, if you say the wait time is an hour than that's what I expect to wait not double that.

I really didn’t want to leave this review, BUT what they’re doing isn’t okay. I've taken both of my Audis here for the past 3 years due to the use of Liquimoly products. These guys do good work and it is veteran owned. I only live two minutes from this location. However, my last visit was where they lost a customer. I dropped my car off on a Friday afternoon to diagnose a coolant leak. After two hours of waiting, they tell me they’re waiting for a quote from Audi for a replacement part. I ask them if it was fine if I left the car there while they wait for the quote. They said yes. NO OVER NIGHT FEE WAS EVER MENTIONED. Saturday comes around, I get a text saying the Audi dealership was closed so they’re unable to get a quote that day. (They weren’t closed). Sunday and Monday, Meineke is closed, so my car is stuck at their shop. My car was never there for a week, I don’t know why the owner is saying it was there for a week. Tuesday comes around and I get a text saying the part cost almost $500 ($492 to be exact). I knew ahead of time that the OEM part from the dealer was only $150 which I could pick up the same day in Carlsbad. When confronted for an explanation on why the quote they gave me was so expensive, they just said that's the quote that was given to them, assuming from the same dealer that I could get that part for $350 less! I refuse to believe that Audi would charge a shop more than double the price of the actual cost. What sense does that make? Being a mechanic in the Navy for 10 years I’d like to believe I'm pretty mechanically inclined enough to do my own due diligence on what’s being done on the car, but for a regular customer who doesn't know any better, they would have spent more money than they should have. I did enjoy coming here because it was convenient for me and they do good work, but their lack of transparency and shady business practices lost them a customer.

My experience with this shop is ridiculous. I went in and paid $162 for a diagnostic, they recommended replacing ignition coils and spark plugs for my car problem. I paid almost $1400 in total which is to me is overpriced. $355 for spark plugs, really ??? The car ran good for a day until it started having same symptoms. I went back Tuesday (the shop was closed for few days). they want me to pay another $162 for another diagnostic to which they said “it could be the fuel injection or the O2 sensor” and that there were “other codes” this time. they can’t even run a diagnostic without me paying another $162. Overall, i spent $1400 for a repair that was probably unnecessary as it didn’t solve the car problem and they are in no condition to help without sucking more $$ to a customer, not even for a 26-year navy veteran. I aint going back to this place and I do not recommend this shop to anyone. My hard-earned money was wasted while the shop guesses what’s wrong with my car. Totally unsatisfied!!!!!!!

Excellent quick service! The dealers mechanic performed horrible service during our last oil change. There was a loose spark plug and the rubber washer on the oil drain lug was lost. The engine did not have a full 4 quarts of oil. Meineke did a great job diagnosing the last mechanics failures, and corrected them and even flushed the engine. I was worried I would need a new car but they really saved the day. Our family will be back. They are an honest shop!

Service was excellent. The prices were incredibly expensive. Two tail light bulbs over $160. This owner is gouging customers. Not employees fault, they were excellent. 5 stars for employees. 1 star for owner price gouging.

I like this place. The owner is very nice. Prices seem to have been reduced from when I went almost a year ago and are reasonable. Most importantly, I feel they do good work.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO THIS PLACE!!!! You’ve been warned. Took my Ram in for a simple oil change and I had to get my insurance company involved to have it fixed properly. Got the oil change and my gut feeling told me to check everything over. They shorted me on oil and they made a bad repair job on the oil plug. They blamed me and refused to fix it. Save yourself the headache and either do it yourself and stay way from places like this. This is the right business receipts DONT LIE. Should be shut down.

Always honest about repairs. They will assist you with what repairs need to be prioritized. Manager Robert knows his stuff. Also sign up for their credit card if you haven't already. Updated 4/27/2022: Although Manager Robert is no longer with this Location (Miss you, Friend). The new ownership has now taken a more prominent role in modernizing the "Typical" experience at a mechanic (Digital App with constant updates and Text Messages). I am glad with the inspections, and recommendations provided by the shop during my most recent visit. The crew is trustworthy and doesn't hesitate to tell its customers the business. Additionally, they took into consideration all requests I made. I am glad to be back in the Chula Vista area as this is a Full Service shop I can always trust. They may be busy at times, but it is worth it for a trustworthy mechanic team and flagship-esque service. Updated 10/08/2022 Recently had tail lights, cold air intake and.. UNDERGLOW installed on my vehicle. Thanks to the hard work from the service crew at Meineke, my car looks cold and dark as ever. This shop doesn't play games when it comes to caring for vehicles and being upfront with its customers.

Outstanding service! Brought my truck almost a dozen times. Solid Team of Marine Corps Veterans. Subject matter experts of their crafts. Professional and highly meets expectations. Does not rip people off on prices and gets straight to the point on what is needed to be done.

$3400 to replace my AC on a 2015 Acura TLX literally found all the same parts on Amazon for less that $200 and found another mechanic that will put it in for a fair price. I get the business and industry has to make money, but robbing people is another story. $178/hr for labor is insane. I do not advise going here, they make work well but the pricing is insane.

I had an appointment at 10 am and when l got there the clerk said that l would have to wait another 45 minutes. I said that l had made an appointment because l was leaving on a road trip immediately afterwards and it was just a safety inspection. The clerk told me that the appointment wasn’t really at 10, it really just meant l would be seen sometime that day. I said that no one had told me that, and that l couldn’t wait there extra time because l had to get on the road. Her response was to repeat herself while smirking. I finally asked to see the manager so she went back, came out and said they would get me in soon. Her attitude was different that time, she was more professional. The initial encounter was really uncomfortable because she was gaslighting me and obviously enjoying it. There’s something wrong with her and she should not be dealing with the pubic.

Look, no one likes to pay for repairs, any price is too much but sometimes you have to. We got our Chevy spark gas line repaired due to a leak, unfortunately, it was a defective part, but this Meineke and its people were great. Why, because they stood behind their work to get it done right. When I took it back because of my concerns, they stepped up and stood behind what they did and repaired it so now I don’t have worries. I don’t do comments and very seldom do I put stuff on the Internet. The most important thing I can tell you is I trust this Meineke staff, and it’s Owner. And trust is what it’s all about for me.

The team was professional, knowledgeable, and efficient throughout the entire process. They installed my roof rack and three cameras with solid workmanship and attention to detail. Already went here before that almost 5-6 times already for AC repairs, lighting, circuits, exterior bumpers and etc. Everything was a solid service 10/10. What stood out most was their honesty. They didn’t try to upsell or push unnecessary services—instead, they were straightforward about what my truck actually needed. It’s refreshing to find a shop that treats customers with fairness and respect. Overall, Meineke delivered excellent service with skilled, professional workers who truly care about doing the job right. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for trustworthy automotive service. 10 stars if available! Solid Team of Marine Corps Veterans. Subject matter experts of their crafts. Professional and highly meets expectations. Does not rip people off on prices and gets straight to the point on what is needed to be done.

I came in for an oil change, and what was supposed to take 30 minutes turned into two and a half hour. because they didn't have the oil filter. They only informed me of the problem after almost two hours had passed. The service was truly terrible.

Was quoted at $120-180 for an oil change. They use full synthetic oil so you’re getting what you pay for. Air cabin filter replacement is pricier than I expected, but that’s what I get for going to a commercial mechanic. They even tried to say that my gasket may need resealing which is a $2k job. Decline all up charges and just get what you came for. Find an independent mechanic that doesn’t try to sell you bs.

Very nice receptionist and mechanic. Not pushy at all with the services, they only recommend what your vehicle needs and I needed just to check on something they inspected the vehicle,(I wasn't an old customer or anything) and they still went the extra mile to help me out and reset some stuff on my vehicle and recommended some other services for "next" time, no charge. Very professional and knowledgeable in my experience. I am a new customer from know on, will definitely come back for my next services here. Thank you guys.
