My 2000 Honda Odyssey had 2 problems showing from th check engine light ...I took it to a smog shop they wanted $750 to repair...the second shop said all 6 cylinder coils had to be replaced..I took it to Hock's..he found the ONE bad cylinder coil and fixed the smog trouble...it passed smog my total bill was $430...this place is very honest and fixed only what needed to be fixed....he was very honest wich can be rare these days

I've taken two Subarus to my regular mechanic, and he couldn't figure out the issue. The first was a CVT transmission code. My regular guy offered to put a used transmission in for $7k. Hock's fixed the transmission for $2k, and had it done sooner. The second was a wiring issue for the AC blowers. The first guy gave up. Hock's eventually found a connector that had burned out inside. Without taking it apart, you can't see the issue. Instead of ordering the $1.5k replacement full wiring harness from the dealer, they got a used connector ordered for much less. This one did take a long time to find, but they didn't give up. I'm the future, I'll just take the Subarus straight to Hock's.

This place rocks! I am telling you...been to other places where they charge double the price. And these guys charge so fair and do a phenomenal job!!! Saturday's are super busy but drop your car off in the week and they will do their best to get it back out to you. Speak with James...he will help you at the front desk.

I’ve gone to this shop on several occasions. All times were great experiences. I brought my Honda in to get motor mounts fixed and I was getting quotes elsewhere for almost double but when I went to Hock’s he saw it and determined I only needed to fix 1 and the other ones still had some life saving me 50% of the other quotes. Ever since that honest experience, I’ve solely trusted him for my car repair needs.

I came here for a few jobs in the past and the prices were average. They replaced my front struts and brake pads about 5 months ago in may 2024. About a week after they replaced my pads they started squeaking. I didn't think anything of it until they started grinding quite loudly in the last few days. When I went back here for the problem to be addressed they told me the pads were under warranty. I asked if they were defective and then he responded an hour later on the phone telling me that the pads were completely worn and it was metal on metal. The rotors would of course have to be replaced as well. I asked how they could have worn put completely in a few months. He responded that it must have been my driving habits or how much I drove. Thus he wouldn't honor the warranty. How on earth would brake pads completely wear out in 5 months? I drove a bit more than average but not the incredible amount of driving it would take for pads to completely wear out! He refused to make it right and acknowledge that something is seriously wrong on their part. My guess is that the pads were never replaced in the first place. I would like to give the benefit of the doubt to the owner that he didn't know the work wasn't done by one of his mechanics. My advice is to make sure the work is done to your car after you leave. I am writing additional information after I see the owner replied to my review. He claims that I didn’t say anything about the brake noises after they did my front brake pads. I said something when I came back to their shop on the fallowing visit. They were squeaking shortly after the prior visit which didn’t seem like a huge issue as I know brakes can sometimes make a little noise for various reasons. However when the grinding noises started I knew there was something serious wrong. That was when I decided to come back so that the issue could be addressed. He claims that he explained to me that the brake caliper got stuck which was the reason for premature wear on the left brake. He never spoke a word of this to me anytime that I saw him. Even if that was true, it wouldn’t explain why it was also almost completely worn away on the right brake pad after not driving the car anywhere near enough to completely go through front brake pads in 5 months. I understand he is trying to uphold his shop’s integrity but he is flat out lying now.
