I've always taken my Hondas to them. I have a Nissan Altima that Christian Brothers gave me a $2000 dollar estimate to replace brakes with new rotors and pads and the entire oil cooler. Hond-Auto turned the drums and did the brake job for half the price. The oil cooler didn't need to be replaced - just a leaking gasket. Total for both jobs was about $500 instead of $2000. Wish I'd asked if they worked on Nissans a long time ago...

I read these great reviews, thinking Hond-Auto would be trustworthy and honest. When I had oil leaking from my car, they told me I needed to replace my timing belt, which amounted to $600. This didn't sound correct, since I had my timing belt replaced a year ago. Got a 2nd opinion from another auto shop and lo behold, my timing belt was fine. Just needed some minor replacements for the valves and spark plugs. Personally I found Hond-Auto to be very dishonest. Be warned that they could try to take advantage of you too.

When it comes to having your vehicle maintained or repaired by dedicated professionals this should be your only stop.

I'm like some of the other reviewers and don't understand the negative reviews. I'm certain there have been instances where people legitimately feel they were treated unfairly but I've been using these guys for years and can't say a bad thing about them. Once I find an honest mechanic I stick with them. These guys have ALWAYS treated me honestly and I've always been satisfied with their work. I've been using them on & off for the past 25 years. Highly recommend them.

Hond-Auto was recommended by a friend with Acura MDX. He's been using them for years. I had to have all of the major components of my AC fixed. Yes, it was a little expensive, but less than expected. Robert and his team does honest work and they get you out on time. When leaving, I ran into one of my customers that has been using Hond-Auto for years too. Robert and the Hond-auto team have serviced my 2005 Nissan Maxima, 2003 Toyota Camry and now my 2005 Toyota Camry over the last 8 years. I drive about 25,000 miles per year. Robert does great work at a fair price. By following his maintenance schedule advice the 2003 Camry, which I bought with 108,00 miles now has over 270,00 miles and still running great! The 2003 was shipped to family in another state when I bought the 2005 18 months ago. Robert is smart, skilled and personable. He has provided me excellent advice and guidance to get the best out of my cars.

I'm very surprised to see some of the negative reviews here. I've been going to Hond-Auto for my repairs for over a decade and have always had good experiences (well, given that my cars were not functioning). I once had a check engine light on my old Civic, and the mechanic solved it in about eight minutes for the price of a new gas cap. He could have easily charged me for at least an hour or two. No, the repairs don't always turn out that easy, and their time isn't free, but the other posts about dishonesty, poor quality, or personal bias have not been the case in my experiences.

Robert and Hond-Auto repaired my positive battery cable and installed a new battery in just a few hours for a very fair price. A lot of places will sell you a battery, but surprisingly few will replace a corroded cable. Here you can find experience, skilled repair work, and a full & honest assessment of your situation. I highly recommend! *Update--still great. Robert has let me come by the garage twice to adjust belt tension on my older Toyota at no charge and threw in a brake light bulb as well. I don't know of anybody in the area with his level of expertise in Honda and Toyota repair, combined with personalized service and fair diagnosis and pricing you will never find at a dealership. 5 stars

I was in town for just a weekend, on the road when my power steering pump started to fail on my 07’ Honda Odyssey. Robert agreed to squeeze in an appointment late on Friday afternoon to troubleshoot. He helped me quickly identify the source of the problem, and then worked out a temporary fix to get me back to Houston. All this and he didn’t charge me a dime. This place is legit.
