Definitely doesn’t live up to the name. Dropped my car off for a brake job. They said they had to do a $50 inspection first, but that cost would go toward the brake work—fine, no problem. Three hours go by with no update, so I call. They say it’ll be done in an hour, so I head over… only to find out they haven’t even started. No brake work done at all. Instead, they did a full inspection I never asked for, and then quoted me $630 for the brakes—over $200 more than the original quote. Customer service was terrible, the communication was worse, and the pricing felt like a total scam. Took my car somewhere else. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

I just called about a head gasket replacement and Robert answered the phone. He was extremely helpful and knowledgeable on the cost of what the repair would be and if it would even be worth in the situation. We talked through all the scenarios for the car and while it may be cliche with it being called Honest Auto Car, Robert was. I work on my own vehicles at an intermediate level and usually know if someone is full of it and Robert wasn’t at all. I appreciate the information tremendously and if I need work done I’m going here. Thanks!!

My GF and I dropped her car off this morning at 830AM for an oil change and tire leak check. She was given a 2 hour estimate. We called to check 2.5 hours later and they said it would be an additional 3-4 hours because of existing appointments that take priority. Totally fine with appointments taking priority, but if the appointments were booked already this morning they should’ve told her, if they weren’t booked, it’s pretty logical to intake the car and book her in an open time slot. They also at no point asked her what type of oil she wanted for the booked oil change, so I don’t know what their plan was there. We ended up picking up her car and taking it ride where because who leaves their car for 6 hours for an oil change? Won’t be going back here for service, Stupid and infuriating experience overall.

Love this Auto Care business. They are courteous and helpful the minute you walk in. They answered any questions or concerns right away and respectfully. They also keep you informed about your vehicle's status throughout your visit. As a women, we tend to get talked down to or ignored in the auto care industry. This business goes above and beyond to make it a welcoming and stress free environment. The waiting area is super nice with everything you might need, including yummy snacks and a little play area for your kiddos if needed. HIGHLY RECOMMEND -

They have free drinks, coffee and snacks which is seemingly nice. The bathroom is clean. However, it took 1.5 hours for an oil change even with an appointment. The kids area needed cleaning up (I went on a Monday morning so it should have been tidy and vacuumed). They also first told me I could do semi or full synthetic then after 30 minutes of waiting told me I needed full synthetic since I didn't know what kind I had last time. It felt like they were trying to up sell me. I haven't ever heard you can't switch back to semi after getting a full synthetic oil change but that's what they told me. It cost $93 with a $15 off coupon for a full oil change on my minivan. I won't be back.

I recently called this shop to get a quote for a repair on my Infiniti QX50. Initially, I spoke with Robert, who gave me an estimate from another customer customer about $1,200 total, roughly $600 per axle, comparing it to a Lexus he had just quoted. So naturally, I had the impression they do provide quotes. Although I wanted an estimate for my specific vehicle, he stated he just had did that and he wasn’t willing to look up a new quote. However, when I called back and spoke to Patty, she told me they don’t give quotes at all. This was confusing and honestly pretty frustrating, because I’d just received one from her colleague. It felt like a big inconsistency in customer service. If one person can give an estimate, but another says they don’t do that, it’s pretty hard to trust the process. I felt like the customer service really fell short. If you’re not willing to provide consistent information to potential customers, it’s tough for them to feel confident about coming in.

Called this location & spoke with Justin for vehicle inspections. They do not take appts, but he did make recommendations on times & to call to make sure the inspector was in for the day. Very helpful. Check in was super fast! The comfort of the waiting area was the best! I was able to work while I waited, so very happy about the internet service for sure. They had sweets & beverages of all options, which was lovely. I was here for less than an hour, as I only had one person ahead of me for an inspection. Check out flowed smoothly as well. Very happy with my visit. And I got a kind note & treat after. Amazing service & kindness for sure.

I have been trusting Honest in Castle Hills with my car for the last three years and they are so good to us! The team is always kind and welcoming, it's easy to get an appointment and I trust their recommendations. Even if there have been repairs needed on my car, they are happy to educate me on the issues and my options without being pushy. Plus they always leave a snack in the car for the drive home :) I live in Aubrey now but I make the drive to get my car serviced here because of the team.

I brought a friend here for an oil change because I had recommended this shop in the past, and I felt embarrassed and sorry for him. The initial quote was $85, but the final price came out to $132. Even though we pointed to his Volkswagen, there was no mention that extra charges would apply, and the receipt just says “synthetic oil.” The service also took almost 2 hours, which felt unusually long. The $15 coupon was applied correctly, and the card fee was noted on the wall, but most other local shops don’t charge extra for card payments. Overall, due to the lack of upfront price disclosure and long service time, we will go to other nearby shops in the future. Don’t waste your money or time here.

I brought my truck to Honest Auto Care in December because it was fluctuating hot and cold. After diagnostic, the shop said there was a hole in my radiator and it needed to be replaced, flushed and tested. to prevent overheating issues and keep the engine in good condition. I approved the full repair and service in good faith, expecting the truck to be reliable afterward. Less than three weeks after their work, my truck began leaking coolant from the lower radiator hose area, the same area that had been serviced during the radiator replacement. I was informed that coolant and oil had mixed, causing severe engine damage and requiring a full engine replacement. What was most frustrating was their diagnostic response. Instead of acknowledging that the issue occurred immediately following their repair and flush, they suggested the oil and coolant mixing was due to pre-existing issues or me continuing driving the truck and it running hot. As soon as the truck had issues, I called and made an appointment and despite the truck not having these problems before their service and running fine when I picked it up. I was also charged a diagnostic fee for this failure, even though I was told the work was under warranty. Being asked to pay to diagnose a problem that happened immediately after their repair, and then having responsibility shifted onto me, was extremely disappointing. I had trusted this shop through several repairs in the past, which makes this situation even harder to accept. Unfortunately, after this experience, I no longer trust their workmanship or how they handle accountability when something goes wrong. If you choose to use this shop, make sure you document everything and understand that if something goes wrong after repairs, you may be left responsible. I will also be filing a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau regarding this experience.

Dropped my car off Saturday at 8am for highway shaking and a check engine light. By early afternoon they had already diagnosed everything and explained it clearly. It needed a Mass Air Flow Sensor (fixed the light), both front lower control arms, a left inner tie rod, and an alignment. They also did a full used-car inspection for free since I had just bought the car, showing photos and explaining everything. The work was done professionally—my car now drives smooth, quiet, and safe. No more shaking. It took until Tuesday to finish because the axle was harder than usual to remove, but they explained everything and kept me updated. Total was about $2,400, and they'll monitor the small oil seep and axle at every oil change instead of pushing unnecessary repairs. No pressure, no surprises, great communication. Highly recommended.

I needed to get my vehicle inspected for registration purposes. I walked in to three ladies at the customer service desk, I was acknowledged as soon as I walked in. Mrs. Patti asked me how she could help? I was in and out of this location in less than an hour. I got some good snacks and they also left a snack in my vehicle which was very thoughtful. I am a nurse and these were my first two snacks I had today after breakfast! I will definitely recommend this location and also return as it is right in the neighborhood four minutes from my home. I’m very pleased.

Robin and her team took great care of my car! The waiting area is super clean and lots of good snack! Big Dr Pepper fan and the offers it complimentary. The guys there are really great at explaining everything you need and puts them in color coated priority. They send you pictures of before and after and of all the things that need work. They dont pressure or Upscale. Very female friendly! Highly recommend if you are a women looking for a place to take care of your car.

This is the ONLY place I will get my car worked on. Robin and kimera (the owners) really pay attention to the little stuff. From the care they put into the work, to all of the amenities in the waiting area. I stay home with my kiddos and taking them on these types of errands can be so stressful. But honest 1 has snacks, drinks, and a whole play area with tons of toys for the kiddos - not to mention the whole facility is so clean! Do yourself a favor and go to Honest 1!
