Just moved to the Nashville area, unfortunately the fuel pump went out in our main vehicle. Shannon was very quick at responding, as most mobile mechanics never picked up or replied. Shannon was so helpful coming to fix my vehicle that wouldn’t start in a parking lot. He took a picture of what was wrong and explained it to me along with what he needed to do to fix it (which I loved). I had to leave for a trip before he would be finished and just asked he take the keys to my workplace nearby and he did. I felt his charges were reasonable and that he did great work. It was so much easier than having to get my vehicle towed somewhere and then also having to pay a mechanic to get it fixed. 10/10 recommend!

Shannon is impressive! I moved to Nashville from California and ran into an issue with my Jeep within my first week of moving. Everyone I called gave me an outrageous price for my radiator and tried to charge me an obscene amount for labor and parts. They also told me I wouldn’t get my car fixed until the next day. Not only was the work efficient, he finished within a short amount of time and was able to plug me in within the hour. My car was done the same day after a few hours. I will definitely be calling him for his services AGAIN!

Shannon is by far one of the best mechanics I have ever worked with, hands down. He is so knowledgeable and professional. This kind of service is PERFECT if you need work done on your car and are unable to take it to a shop. His prices are fair and his work is solid. Not only did this man stay in contact with me the entire time, but he was a complete professional. He went above and beyond! We were stranded over 3 hours from home and Shannon not only located our part, but retrieved it and installed it. All while it was raining. He even shopped for the best price. I am so thankful that I was pointed in his direction. He was such a blessing. He was amazing. Words can't express how thankful we are for his help! He was fast and informative. Horrible service in my opinion DO NOT LET THIS GUY SCAM YOU. HE attempted to charge me $800 for a diagnostic and headlight repair. There are mechanics like this guy that will overcharge customers he assumes know little to nothing about auto repair.

I was in a tough spot with a completely dead battery that couldn’t be jumped. It was after hours but Shannon was gracious enough to come out and help. He quickly diagnosed the issue even though I have the weirdest battery set up I’ve ever seen (Audi battery under the front seat). He was able to get me back up and running with a new battery and was super helpful and communicative the whole time. I can’t recommend Shannon enough.

I had an oil leak sensor issue over the weekend where we had the worst ice storm in Nashville history. I contacted Shannon who came out to my place in 20 degree weather to assess the situation, which he did almost immediately. I know it was so cold but this is my only means of transportation…..he wanted to make sure that there were no more oil leaks and fixed everything the same day. Very easy to talk to EXTREMELY EFFICIENT and prices were way better than taking it to a shop! Shannon worked through the cold to fix everything I asked. Highly recommend him. He is AWESOME

Team was okay I payed about 50 dollars for diagnostics and know a little bit about cars luckily. Tech was knowledgeable of general troubleshooting my car isnt new so i figured it would be easy to get a second opinion. Ill preface to say the issue was my car wouldnt start and prior I had already done my own general checks before calling. Tech was nice and attempted a few things as we went through steps like testing fob, OBD2 reading, fuses etc. This was about the full extent of the work done outside of using a camera to further inspect. I was told that they wished they had brought more tools for the job which I thought was weird as thats the whole point of being a mobile mechanic. The last thing I heard was that a bit more info was needed and what they may need to and that they will check the wiring. That was maybe 4 days ago with no word by this point as a customer its safe to assume they dont want to pursue further which is fine but I feel communication is needed as a customer it feels like my own time and money was wasted. With that being said I feel like if you know what the exact issue is call and ask if they can fix it and how involved that would be for them to make sure they are equipped prior. Anything past that your best bet is to probably just take it to a mechanic in the area so that you dont have to worry whether they will come back or actually fix the issue the first go round. I felt like the guy who towed my car to the new mechanic i called to fix my issue had more insight and knowledge about what the issue could have been compared to the level of info I was provided by Hooten's tech at the time. I simply just didnt have the tools for the job funnily enough it seemed that Hooten's Mobile Mechanic did not either. My hope is that this review reflects what a job will look like if you arent too sure and dont want to go through multiple people to look into an issue for you.

Shannon got the job done in a timely fashion! He repaired the power steering on my Land Rover. Shannon was very knowledgeable and transparent with all the work that needed to be done to the vehicle. He even went out and got a custom fitted hose that was discontinued. All for a fair price and no excessive work added on.
