I took my wife's car here to be repaired under the extended warranty. Everyone here was super helpful and really listened as we explained our problem. They were more than happy to submit the estimated repairs to the warranty company and obtain the approvals needed. They kept us updated on parts that needed to be ordered and the status of these parts. When a new issue was found we were notified immediately. They were able to communicate the further needed repairs to the warranty company and to locate and order the parts necessary. Can't say enough about the quality of service we received. This is the only place I will take my vehicles to!!!

Zarlingo’s took great car of me and my truck, and their quote seemed super honest and fair. I couldn’t be happier. I had a wheel fall off while driving in the middle of the night, while on a road trip. Zarlingo’s was the nearest AAA garage, so I had it towed there. Not only did the tow truck driver give them a spontaneous glowing review, so did both Uber drivers (the one that picked me up and another that dropped me off when it was done). They were true to their reputation. It happened right before thanksgiving, so it took a few days for them to look at it, but once they did, they gave me a very fair quote right away, and had parts the next morning and repaired by the end of the day. As someone from out of town with a serious mechanical issue, it would be easy for a repair shop to take advantage of me. They were the exact opposite of that - friendly, honest, fair, and fast. Can’t recommend them enough.

Horizon Auto is amazing!! Brian and Eddie saved us. We were on a roadtrip when we discovered our radiator had a crack in it. They were able to diagnose, order a new radiator, install, and have us on the road, with an oil change as well, in less than 3 hours. We are grateful beyond a thank you for their expertise and customer service. If we lived in the Grand Junction area, they’d be our mechanic for all of our vehicles.

I switched to Horizon Automotive because of there terrible time I was having at the dealership. The dealership did a botched job on a warranty repair and Horizon Auto fixed it after I took the car back to the dealership at least six times. I know it sounds like an exaggeration but it’s not. The dealership sprayed the motor to find the leak and told me to bring it back again. They also charged me premium price for a lower grade oil. There’s more but at Horizon auto I know they fixed the car, instead of charging me and not fixing it. Thank you Horizon Automotive!

I strongly advise anyone to think twice before trusting Horizon Automotive Service Center with their vehicle. I paid $4,500 and brought my car to them three separate times, specifically because it was leaking oil. Every visit I was told the problem was fixed — but the leak never stopped. In fact, it kept dripping exactly the same, which makes me question whether they even worked on the car at all. What frustrates me most is that after all that money and time, they stopped responding to my calls and completely left me without answers or support. I feel misled, ignored, and treated with zero respect as a customer. After my experience, I cannot recommend this shop to anyone. I walked away with the same problem I came in with, thousands of dollars gone, and no accountability from their side.

Went to the shop for a diagnostic with the truck running decent. When I went to pick it up (because they quoted me $1900 for spark plugs and ignition coils, something I did in 1 hour and costed me $650 in original parts) the truck was running BAD, couldn’t go past 40, I thought it could be that the spark plug or coil got damaged when inspecting the truck which is fine and understandable. But when I opened the hood to do the repair myself I noticed the plug for the coil was disconnected and the ignition coil was loose. I plugged it back in and the truck worked fine like it was when I took it to the shop. They also left a socket in my engine bay. A decent diagnostic service at a good price. But considering the lack of attention they had to give me my truck back at least how it was I wouldn’t recommend it. Diagnostic price is fine but the quote they gave me is way overpriced.

I have been bringing my vehicles to Horizon Automotive since the days when they operated as Zarlingos, so this review is not coming from a one-time customer. Over the years, there have occasionally been pricing misunderstandings, but I continued to return because I value supporting local businesses and long-term relationships. At my most recent visit, I inquired about an oil change promotion that I believed applied to my service. I later learned it was only valid when combined with a tire rotation. While I understand businesses have policies, I asked whether the discount might still be honored given the misunderstanding. The request was declined. What ultimately led me to take my business elsewhere was not the $20 discount, but the way the situation was handled. The interaction felt curt and dismissive, and I was told the owner was comfortable with me not returning as a customer. After many years of loyalty, that was disappointing to hear. I respect a business’s right to enforce its policies. However, customer service and tone matter just as much as pricing. For long-term customers, flexibility and relationship often make the difference. I wish them well, but I will be finding another shop moving forward. Respond to owners comments: Brian, Thank you for adding your perspective. For clarity, none of the prior visits involved hostility — they involved questions. When I have asked about pricing or functionality in the past, it was to understand the service I was paying for, not to create conflict. As a customer, I believe it’s reasonable to ask questions about repairs, pricing, or promotions. That does not make an interaction contentious — it makes it informed. My most recent review was not about policy language. It was about how the interaction felt and how a long-term customer relationship was concluded.
