Excellent service at a competitive rate. Last winter I had a bit of an emergency. I hit a puddle during a rainstorm and blew the factory weld off my vehicle's muffler, and needed a quick repair. I was here 10 years ago and loved the experience, same name, new owner, same great experience. Knowledgeable, informative, fast quality work, great price, nice, passionate people to work with. ‘23 ram, 5.7. Recommended flowmaster outlaw with factory resonators left in place and it sounds fantastic. I’m very satisfied with the work and you really can’t beat the price. I would highly recommend these guys if you’re looking to have any exhaust work done in the desert.

Howard’s Muffler – A True High Desert Classic Howard’s has been a staple in the High Desert for decades, and for good reason. Rick runs the place the old-school way — honest work, done right, with a handshake and a smile. All the old timers know him, and he knows us. I recently brought in my Prius for a catalytic converter replacement. Sure, it wasn’t cheap, but I never had to wonder if it would be done right — at Howard’s, that’s a given. Dropped it off in the morning, and before lunch, Rick called to say it was ready. If you need mufflers, catalytic converters, hitches, or just a friendly High Desert hello, this is the place. Absolutely recommended.

I have to say these guys were amazing when it came handling my car even though they had a lot of cars to take care of. They still managed to knock out all the cars by themselves and take care of my car in a timely manner. AMAZING customer service #1 #2 the work done on my car was perfect!!! 2004 Honda accord 4cyl 2.4L 2.5” from cat back with a magnaflow “flow FX” as resonator (recommended by shop) Then back to a vibrant street power muffler and it sounds amazing! No honda rasp and it’s how a Honda with exhaust should sound in my opinion. More sturdy than my OEM setup Will definitely be bringing my 1967 Ford F100 in for an exhaust system soon.

After doing research for a good mechanic to take my car to for a second opinion on the need for a catalytic converter, I decided to take it to Howard's Muffler HITC; and I'm glad I did. Rick's diagnostic test confirmed the need for a new one. The price he quoted me was reasonable. When I returned to get the work done, Rick had the heater on in the waiting area so I wouldn't get too cold while waiting for the repair to be completed. What a kind thing to do for your customers!
