My co-worker and I work around the corner from Hugo's, neither of us have ever used the business until this week. Either way my co-worker's water pump went out on his 2017 F-150 on the way to work at 6:30am. Hugo's had it fixed before 3pm the same day, just sitting from the sidelines I could tell there was good communication. The warranty period is great and the customer service was awesome. Oddly the best part, my co-worker told me this morning that pressure on his tires were low before he took his truck there, but were at specs afterwards. Owner did not mention it.. just did it. I have not used Hugo's "yet" but with that kind of service I probably will.

The service here is amazing! Dan was so helpful and patient when explaining the issues with my thermostat assembly. He was readily available by phone, kept me updated through the entire process, and got my car back to me very quickly. I’ve been here a few times and as a college student that knows nothing about cars he helped each time and did a little extra free of charge to make sure my driving is safe. Dan has fair prices and explains everything to look out for if he notices something off while repairing your vehicle. It’s a small shop and I always feel welcome. He even will offer to call my dad to discuss what he’s going to do and prices. If you are looking for a place to help you out NEVER go to a dealership or a name brand place before checking out Hugo’s :)

How many mechanics have you dealt with that send you a repair quote, than advise you on how they can save you money in labor by doing certain repairs together? I know none because most want to maximize profits at any cost. Not at Hugo’s! I've been familiar with this mechanic and auto repair shop in Gainesville for a few months now, and I can confidently say they are the best around! Their expertise spans various car models, and they stand out because they don’t invent problems just to charge you more. Their prices are very fair, likely the best you'll find in Gainesville. Additionally, they offer excellent discounts for UF affiliates. This family-run business has been established for quite some time, and the outstanding attitude and manners of their team are just the icing on the cake! I wholeheartedly recommend them!

Was due to start a new job soon so I wanted to bring my car into a good transmissions shop for some work to be done. I should’ve known when I was teenagers in the back working on cars that I was not in the right place but with the weekends fast approaching I was literally out of options, mind you there was no issues with my trans whatsoever when I brought it to this man, in fact I only did it as a means of work knowing I live almost an hour and thirty minutes from my job. They were only suppose to be doing an oil change and transmission fluid flush as well as transmission oil filter and gasket. Dude has my car for 3-4 hours right? I come to pick it up the tab was $460 not bad right? I I didn’t even make it home before my cars transmission started shifting wildly out of control. Now it won’t hardly shift at all. On top of that my cars oil engine light is coming on when I stop my car but goes off when I accelerate, another issue that I was not having prior to coming here and trusting this shop. He now wants to pit the blame on a OBD sensor scan when I know for a fact my car was reading this codes when I brought it in, which suggest me to believe that he’s no more honest than the shop in Ocala that’s under investigation for the same reason. I urge everyone with the means to keep their receipts and document and verify all work done and undone to your vehicles, unfortunately we are now living in selfish times where you have to protect yourself from people that appear honest and professional on the surface. I’m having issues with my damn car that I haven’t had since I brought it a year ago, upon bringing this to his attention I also have not heard back from him in either. At this point it’s pretty obvious that no one there has at least a decade of auto experience, I DO NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE, my car has a v6 Pentastar in it, and if they can’t even work on a damn v6 your gonna trust him with your v8? No thank you. Never again bro. You didn’t even respond to my messages no call backs or anything and I wouldn’t bring my car back here anyway, thanks for stealing my money and adding more bills and stress to life.

This place is amazzing! Bought a car from Toyota paid 13,000 a week ago and codes were showing up took it to 3 different places told me it was a sensor. He quoted me a price took my car came back and a hose had not been out on properly which made it throw the codes! He could have still charged me but he didn't! He let me know the issue corrected it and I was on the road! Very knowledgeable very family oriented! I have been in Gville 2 years without a mechanic I feel so much better that I have one now! Don't go anywhere else! He is a Gem and so is his other employees!

this place was recommended to me by my job. I went for an oil change and was very pleased by their quick and quality service! i went again today to get my brake fluid replaced and i was still happy their work. they went out of their way to check my car and even my tires! they didnt hassel me with any unnecessary repairs and they let me know some things to just keep my eye on. they always explained every issue and what they did to fix it. 10/10 would recommend!

I had a fantastic experience with them! My Mini, unfortunately, broke down as soon as I got on the highway to drive towards Miami. The employees were incredibly nice on the phone and took their time to explain my car's issues. The mechanics truly went above and beyond on my car and resolved even tiny issues (like refilling my oil before I picked my car back up). Took my 2018 JLUR 3.6 Auto in with a known blown head gasket at around 70k miles (yay Jeeps) for repair and timing service. Dan and team were awesome to work with taking my concerns and questions seriously, as well as just being incredibly easy to communicate with. I had this repair done not more than 2 weeks before driving from FL. to Moab, UT for a long Wheeling trip. The Engine had zero issues both during highway and low range driving environments other than a intermittent vvt timing response issue. But that was likley a block in the oil port and it cleared up with a quick Italian tune-up and oil change. So, over six thousand miles later I'm more than pleased with the work and very much recommend this shop and team. Hard to argue going from a torn apart engine in Florida to Top of the World Utah without any hiccups. :)
