I had the unfortunate experience of having my car window smashed in the other day. It’s completely violating and scary, but I knew I needed to replace it right away. The place my insurance chose couldn’t do it for two days. So I shopped around myself and found Icon Glass. I’m super glad I did. It was very easy to communicate with them. Over text message no less. And the phone call was quick as well. They were able to come within a two hour window the next morning! The guy got it done in a half hour and I could use my car again. Beyond glad I chose this company! Fast and efficient :)

hired Icon Glass to install a windshield in my 1989 Land Rover Defender. I had purchased the electric defrost tinted windshield from Rovers North in Vermont as they are the only vendor to offer this type of windshield for my vehicle. I informed Icon when I booked the appointment that I would be supplying the windshield. The first technician that showed up removed the old glass but said that he would need assistance installing the new windshield and would be back the following day. The next day another technician, Mike and his assistant showed up driving an icon glass truck. They set up a work table and somehow the assistant broke the glass while it was on the work table. Mike said he would order a replacement but I also gave him the contact information and part number for Rovers North in case their vendors did not have the same windshield in stock. Mike replaced the old windshield so I could drive the car while waiting for the replacement. A week later Mike showed up and said that the new glass had arrived and was being delivered by another Icon glass employee. Meanwhile, Mike broke the old windshield while removing it from the car. When the windshield showed up, it was for Range Rover, a completely different vehicle. I again gave Mike the part number and contact information for Rovers North and even verified that they had the windshield in stock while Mike was in front of me. He promised to call Rovers North the following day. Meanwhile, I was not able to drive my car. A week later Mike called and said he had the windshield but again it was the wrong windshield. I asked him why he had not ordered the windshield from Rovers North as he had promised and all he could say was that the windshield he got was cheaper (for him) because the owner of Icon Glass, Lesley Jensen, was refusing to pay for the replacement and he didn't have the money to pay Rovers North. At that point I called the company and was told that the owner, Lesley Jensen, was in meetings all day but would get a message that I had called. The next day when i hadn't heard from anyone from Icon I called both Lesley and Mike. I was told that Lesley was out of the office all day and the call to Mike went to voicemail. I have tried emails and phone calls for a full week to Icon with no response at all. So not only am I out $1200 (the cost of the original windshield and a replacement, I am also not able to use the car.

Very disappointed. Had Johan out to fix starburst chip in windshield. When job was complete the appearance of the chip was as visible as when he started (I’ve had multiple similar chips over the years and ALL were repaired with little to no marks left behind). There was a breakdown in communication when trying to discuss this, as Johan couldn’t understand English. I then called the office to discuss with a very friendly apologetic woman who said she would have Johan back out ASAP that day. Johan texted and said he would arrive at 10am the following day and “do the repair in the sunlight this time” (he had advised me to keep my vehicle in the garage for the initial appt). Johan texted at 10:40 am the following day stating he was unable to make the appointment. I followed up with a text inquiring when he would be back out and got no response from him or the office. I just hung up with the office after asking when I can expect Johan or someone to come back out and was rudely told “once a chip is filled it cannot be refilled” and “all chip repairs leave marks behind”. 1st: Icon’s customer service needs some improvement with follow-up, employee education and phone skills 2nd: Icon’s techs should be able to communicate with the customer 3rd: Their tech all but admitted, via text, he may have needed better lighting to do the job correctly in the first place 4th: Why would all my previous starburst chips been repaired with much better outcomes if this was done properly? Would highly suggest avoiding this business for your auto glass needs.

First time user. My window broke unknown how going through a construction zone. Johan and his partner came the very next day worked very hard fixing my window. I felt bad as it was taped up like it was tinted so they had to strip it all done. No mess! They were on time and fixed pretty fast. Very nice guys and I will certainly be using in the future.

I have to say thank you for prompt and professional service. Windshield was damaged by Rock Carrier on 215, after a Little foot work........the Proprietor of the Rock carrier Co. Did the correct thing and had Icon glass replace my Windshield. They were super careful, my vehicle is custom wrapped and they treated it as such!! Horrible customer service and service in general. Called on a Friday for windshield replacement. Got scheduled in for the next day Saturday from 8-9 am. Called them at 9:30 asking for an update. Told me I’ll get back to you with an eta. Called back at 10 am. looking for an update. Told me they can’t get a hold of the tech and will call me back. Got a call back at around 11 am telling me tech will be there around 4-5 pm. Then got a call around 3 saying the tech won’t be able to come out today and will have to be scheduled for Monday 8-9 am. Monday comes along tech shows up at 9 am. As I’m watching him he’s getting annoyed and is telling me I don’t have to stand around and that I can go home he’ll let me know when it’s done. Starts working on the car and is breaking all kinds of clips trying to get the windshield wipers off using unnecessary force. Asked him if he needs help and if he’s going to be breaking clips might as well let me try and if they break that’s ok it’s my car, I’ll take responsibility. If things are going to be breaking I might as well break themself as a joke. He got pissed and said I’m leaving. Told him good bye and not to worry about trying to put anything back together. Worst experience ever. Tech is unprofessional and rude. Management can’t get ahold of there drivers let alone manage time correctly. Wasted my whole Saturday waiting around for nothing. And then to have a grumpy tech show up in the morning like I need him to work on my car with an attitude. Don’t forget I’m the consumer. You need me I don’t need you. Went to California Auto Glass. Got a cheaper quote and much better service.

If you’re look to get your windshield replaced with honest and good people Icon Auto Glass is the perfect choice! They give you a feel of a mom & pop shop with professionalism of a major company. Customer service was nothing but respectful! You didn’t have to speak to a robot before you can talk to an actual person. Chris came and worked on our car and he was communicative and quick with his work. He left a car very clean and the windshield spotless. He cares about his work and his profession. They are military friendly so don’t forget to tell them that you are or were in service!!
