I’ve been bringing my vehicles to Import Specialty Service for the past two years and they have never let me down. Doug and Ryder are the two gentlemen that I’ve worked with the most. Always makes it super convenient for vehicle drop off AND pick up and transportation after drop off. I drive 2 1/2 hours to get my car serviced here because they are the only ones I trust. I like that they tell you the things that need to be done asap and the things you can wait a bit on. I also appreciate that they take care in keeping your car clean as they work on it. My steering wheel is clean and doesn’t have dirt or oil on it from their hands. They also applied a current coupon that was on the website that I knew nothing about but gave it to me anyway. They did not have to do that.

I spent nearly $5,000 at this shop repairing my BMW, and just 17 days later I started getting oil pressure warning codes. I brought the car back immediately because I was concerned, but they told me they weren’t sure what was wrong and that I would need to spend about another $1,000 just for further diagnostics — with the possibility of several thousand more in repairs. After spending that much money less than three weeks prior, I expected more support. It was difficult just to get them to even look at the car again, and there was no offer of warranty help (which they promised before accepting my payment) goodwill service, or meaningful troubleshooting. I eventually took the car to a different shop for a second opinion. They found the oil pressure warning was caused by a loose cap and fixed it for only a few hundred dollars. Since then, the issue has not returned. Whether this was poor diagnosis or simply a lack of care, my experience left me feeling pressured toward expensive additional repairs while the real problem turned out to be something simple. I strongly recommend getting a second opinion before trusting this shop with major work

I wish I could give them 5 stars but unfortunately I can’t. I am highly disappointed with the service I received. I brought my vehicle in for a diagnostic testing for the base rate for a diagnostic test. Apparently my battery went dead before they could test it further. They told me if I wanted them to further test my vehicle I would need to purchase a battery from them. Mind you my battery is under warranty so why didn’t they just tell me to come and get my battery and take it back to where the warranty came from. Nooo they wanted to sell me a battery to resume the remainder of the diagnostic testing. Then I was told it could possibly take 3 more hours just to possibly tell me what’s wrong with my car. I decided not to go any further so I paid them for the first hour of telling me nothing. I had my car towed and called up another shop and they told me that it would only take them two hours to find out and it was rare to take longer than 2 hours just to tell me what was wrong with my car. I think this company just wanted to make money off of me but I wasn’t going to allow them. Taking my car here was a waste of time and money neither of the two I can get back. Personally, I don’t recommend and for a female to tell me what’s wrong was even more questionable…. She needs to sit down and answer phone calls…I will not be back and I don’t recommend!!! Additionally, all the bad reviews are true because I had the same experience.

From start to finish, their team was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely cared about earning my trust. Not only did they beat the dealer’s pricing, but I also had the pleasure of meeting their foreman, Kevin Stanley…a true Mercedes-Benz Master Technician. He took the time to walk me through each recommended repair, explaining what was needed and why. That level of transparency gave me total confidence to move forward. The work was done efficiently and with attention to detail, and my car has never run better. I’m now bringing both my other Mercedes-Benz and my Audi there for service. This is not a review of ISS's work on my vehicle, because they didn't do any work on it. It's a review of their honesty, which is something that isn't always present in auto shops. I brought my car in for a problem with my trunk door and approved the $185 diagnostic charge. When they started digging into it, they discovered my car was still under warranty and called me to let me know so I could cancel the diagnostic and bring it in to the dealer. They could have very well gone ahead and done the diagnostic and charged me the fee but they didn't. Their honesty and timeliness was very much appreciated, as was their overall level of kindness and communication.

I had to get a headlight changed in my MDX. Seems easy enough, but when I started poking around and looked at some YouTube how to videos, they were talking about going through the bumper or wheel well. I called and got an estimate over the phone that lined up with a couple of other places I called. And they were able to get it in and done around my work schedule. Also there was an error code they were able to clear by doing something super simple while they were fixing the headlight. Great service and quality work! And I think they vacuumed the floor mat? This will almost definitely be my go to.
