took my BMW M550i in for a simple muffler install and had one of the worst experiences ever. They insisted the muffler “wasn’t for the correct vehicle,” even though it 100% was. Instead of doing the job properly or calling me, they cut the pipes shorter, removed all the hangers, and never told me anything they changed. Now my car vibrates excessively, the exhaust sits wrong, and if I take it to another shop to fix it they’ll have to add piping just to make it longer again because they cut it off. This shop created more problems than they solved. Completely unprofessional — I wouldn’t trust them with any vehicle.

Took our vehicle to Independent Muffler for exhaust service. They checked our vehicle and found a couple problems. They told us they wouldn’t be able to get the parts needed to fix problems. We’re not sure why this is but that’s the way it is. There was no charge which we appreciated. They told us we would have to go to the dealer to get the repair done. Concerned on what the repairs will cost at the dealer.

Absolutely great experience. Just making my appointment, I had the most friendliest receptionist. I was able to get scheduled so quickly and after calling around Erie for appointments she was the kindest person I spoke to. They fixed my problem within hours with the best price out of all the other options. When I picked up my car, again the woman helping out was welcoming and quickly got me checked out and on my way.
