I highly recommend John Jamerson (the shop owner) for a great tune on your Subaru. I brought my 2011 WRX to him with a freshly built engine I put together my self. I was having some knock feedback issues. He was nice enough to fit me in his busy schedule without an appointment and he was able to find a boost leak at one of the fuel injectors, fix it for me, then give me a break in tune all for a very reasonable price. He was honest with me, and didn't try to upsale a bunch of stuff I don't need. Now my car, even with a low boost break in tune, runs better than ever. I feel pretty comfortable driving it now and cant wait to go back for the performance tune! Thanks John, I appreciate your help and customer service.

These guy's are great! I had basically an engine swap and tuning done. They're good at listening and being realistic about what your performance goals and budget are. John is incredibly knowledgeable. If you're looking for a Subaru specialists in the PNW I definitely recommend these guys. I'll be back when I'm ready to do more work on my STI.

These guys are great. My car needed some major repairs, and John and his guys did great work on my car. The repairs changed a bit and were less expensive once they got inside the engine. And John took the time to make sure I knew what work they would be doing, and afterwards, what work they did. Highly recommended for any Subaru, but especially performance Subarus.

Took my 2012 WRX here about a month ago to have a Garrett GTX3076R installed with Perrin’s rotated kit. Entire experience was awesome! John knows what he’s doing and provided some solid recommendations and an excellent tune. Had all my required maintenance done while they were at it, and to top it off, John was very flexible with my work schedule to get my car back to me. Couldn’t be happier.

I'm limited to giving the shop five stars. John and the team deserve more. I've had my car worked on here by John and the team twice, both quite large undertakings. First time was in 2018 for the major work. Full engine build with an endless list of supporting mods. Because my timeline ran short at the end, the car had a 90% tune which was then worked on through email. The car made 700whp (I stopped there) with no issues. I drag raced it a few times and drove it around quite often. Next big project started in 2021, with a pic up in May 2022. The tune was adjusted to compliment my new venture to circuit tracks and a few other goodies, including a much needed wheel bearing replacement. Car came in 2018 with 125k miles and currently has 145k. Runs perfectly, doesn't burn oil, and doesn't overheat (IAG stage 2 closed deck case halves). The thing is a beast and doesn't skip a beat. Would I recommend this shop? I don't think that's a question. My car is the perfect example of their quality of work, and it's not even the biggest build they've done.

I've had major tuning and aftermarket parts installed at 16K miles on my 2019 WRX FA20 by this shop, and now my car is at 50K miles with absolutely no issues! They have had done 100% of the maintenance since at least 16K miles. Granted I stay on top of everything with them on a timely manner such as oil, intake cleaning (walnut shell blasting), differentials, etc. This shop has been very communicative as well, and have taken me in on timely manners, considering how busy they are. They will be the main reason I plan on sticking with a Subaru.

If I could give John 15 stars I would. This man has more experience with Subarus than I do with anything. I brought my car in for a knock and he had a new engine in and back on the road in a week also was able to get it re tuned at the 1000 mile mark while he was packing up his shop to move it. When I came to infront I had a pretty bad engine map.. car was running rich had a pretty bad boost cut.. Not only did they fix my map & boost cut but gave me some pretty serious performance increase.. these guys at infront are no joke.. they do incredible work not only with installs but tuning will get you the most out of your engine while maintaining reliability.. the perfect balance.. they will give you the same feelings you had when you first brought the car home. 5/5 definitely going back soon as i have more things needed.

I had the pleasure of working with John, Jan, and Derek at Infront Automotive. I had been searching for a shop to complete a dyno tune on my vehicle for some time and Infront Automotive came highly recommended by a good friend of mine who had taken his Legacy into John for work on multiple occasions! I live in Bellingham, WA and took the vehicle down for a pre-tune inspection the week before my scheduled tune. I was greeted by Jan right away and they grab my keys for the inspection soon after. Jan is a great addition to the Infront team. He was very thorough in providing me with expectations and recommendation of parts to have installed to reach my power goals. He was a class act and willing to answer all my questions and concerns! The day of the tune I had the opportunity to meet John. I unfortunately, forgot to install a gasket for my external wastegate the night before and he said no problem and had Derek install the missing piece quickly and even provided better fittings for the electronic boost controller! Once the car was ready for the dyno John asked me what my goals were and listened while providing feedback on reliability versus all around power. He updated me constantly throughout the process and provided me with a tune that is both powerful, reliable. and that exceeded all my expectations! I had the biggest smile on my face the first time I was able to drive it on the road and could not be happier with my experience! Thank you to John, Jan, and Derek for providing superior customer service and quality of work! I look forward to working with this team again!

John and the team at InFront are the best! If you own a turbo Subaru, there is no better place to go. John just did a Stage 2 tune on my 2009 WRX with catted downpipe and 3 port EBCS. The results are incredible! This is how the car should come from the factory. More responsive, smoother power delivery, and more power! It seems like better fuel economy too. In addition to John's exceptional tuning, he is friendly, accommodating, and a great communicator. Even though he is asked the same questions a million times by different customer, he takes the time to explain things in a very calm, logical fashion. I wish this was true for all auto shops. I had issues getting my stock downpipe off the night before the tune (rounded nut). I let John know and he said "No problem, we can take care of that." Even though I had no appointment for additional work beyond the tune, John got me in and his team got the parts installed so that I wouldn't need to reschedule the tune. This was huge since I was coming from Kitsap County and the round-trip commute was close to 4 hours. It was a long day but well worth the drive and time. Keep up the good work InFront, I'll be back for more :)

John and team were amazing through this whole process! I found InFront being recommended heavily on NASIOC, it was also recommended by other people I know in the automotive world. I reached out to InFront over email and John was responsive and helpful answering all questions I had prior to booking. I booked a pre-tune checkup along with a tune on my 2011 WRX. I showed up at 8am when they opened and John sat down to talk through what I was looking for from a tune and my options, in detail. I really appreciate his thoroughness and taking that time to make sure we cover all options and answer any questions. The tune took most of the morning as John took it through passes on the dyno and WOW are the results noticeable. While I had an cobb ap map for the parts I had installed, the car now runs much better and the responsiveness is tangible with the map John created. His shop was also able to identify a few smaller things I need to address for maintenance which is greatly appreciated. Can't recommend this shop enough. I just upset I didn't find this it sooner.

So it’s time… John at infront built my motor a while back and the block finally came out since he’s built it and I found so much janky stuff… I felt genuinely disrespected because of what I found. Different arp head 2000 studs(Allen key sizes were different)/makeshift gaskets/ random mixed bolts/ random and I mean RANDOM valve lash on the cams. Expected is like .033 or .035 but not .025 the list goes on. I wish they were open to being this up but now I feel like I’ll never get answers to my questions. I trusted infront and now I’ll tell everyone else. Beware who you have build your stuff. I’ve attached pictures and ignore the pistons but you can see the studs for yourself
