HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! I had a great experience at Iowa Mufflers and Brake when we took my sister’s car in for a repair. From the moment we arrived, we could tell it was a family-run business—they were warm, kind, and genuinely cared about helping us. They went out of their way to accommodate our schedule and needs. One of the workers took the time to clearly explain what was wrong with the car, which we really appreciated. It felt honest, professional, and respectful. Definitely a place we’ll go back to. I can’t thank Iowa Muffler enough! I brought in my VW for a muffler repair, and they had it done the same day. They were professional, direct, and kept me updated through the whole process. I legit cried happy tears when I found out the front exhaust was fixed too, and there was no damage to the manifold. Their honesty and quick service saved me from buying another car. Highly recommend!

I can't say enough positives about this business! I was referred to Iowa Muffler and Brake for exhaust work by another local shop. My first conversation was with Payton who was amazing over the phone providing options to repair what was incorrectly diagnosed as a leaking flex pipe. About a week later I scheduled an appointment for repair and was impressed by the knowledge and professionalism of everyone. They quickly diagnosed the actual exhaust issue and a suspension issue that was mis-diagnosed by the referring shop. They quickly repaired both in about an hour for an incredibly fair price. Edit 7/13/2024 Just received a thank you card - who does that anymore and this really sets them apart. Wow.

I took my 2015 Silverado 2500 (6.0) to Iowa Mufflers and Brakes for an exhaust manifold replacement, and they did an awesome job. They walked me through different options based on my budget and what I needed. Super friendly staff and great customer service from start to finish. I’m very happy with the work they did on my truck, and the price was excellent. Highly recommend this shop for any exhaust work!

This was my first time going here and I was blown away by the service, cost, pretty much everything. You can tell this place really cares about their customers and I am beyond grateful for everyone there. I took my car here because MIDAS said my car needed shocks and quoted me nearly 2500. My car made a lot of noise when going over bumps and driving, so me knowing next to nothing about cars just believed them. Something in me said to try a local garage and I am so glad I did. They looked over my car and showed me the real problem. Links on both sides of my car were rusted through and causing all the noise. They said my shocks were all fine for now. I am driving with nearly no noise and I only paid 200 dollars compared to something I woulda paid an arm and leg for and still had the issue of noise and clunking. They even quoted me for shocks and struts and it was nearly a grand cheaper than what Midas was charging! I know there are some loyal customers to Midas and other bigger companies who are being blindly robbed with inflated prices and guess work. Just because they are a bigger business doesn’t mean they are better. Thank you Iowa Muffler and Brake. P.S. I’m not trying to bash Midas they have done a lot of work on my cars they do great work most of the time, I just feel their labor rates are unusually high lately. Too high to be telling me to fix something that is not the cause of my issues.

They take care of your vehicle, always super cautious when getting in & out and putting it on the lifts. I do not let anyone else touch my cars besides Iowa Brakes & Muffler!
