THE WORST MECHANIC EVER!!!! DO NOT GO HERE! THE OWNER IS EXTREMELY UNEDUCATED! THEY DONT KNOW A THING ABOUT CARS. THEY SCAM YOU FOR YOUR MONEY! THEY ARE LIARS. THEY COMPLAIN ABOUT WANTING UPDATES ON YOUR VEHICLE SITTING THERE FOR AWEEK. THEY ARE DISRESPECTFUL & GET A ATTITUDE WHEN ASKED THE NAME OF A PART. I WOULD NEVER COME BACK HERE AGAIN!!! Disrespectful calling me Stupid because I brought the car back after he didn't adequately fix a coolant leak. The exact same problem occurred 3 days after I picked up the car. I'm a disabled veteran and he knows this. He knows I'm a father and it's cold and for him to be ok with leaving my daughter being cold in a car I entrusted to him is a clear depiction of his character. He as in the OWNER.

I will continue to use his service and very affordable and greet service, ask for Madardo he so honest. Came here after getting 2 other quotes that were so high it felt criminal. JAD not only gave me a quote for a 3rd of the price for the same services, they also had it done within 24 hours. Were friendly, communicative and transparent the whole time. Although I don’t live in JP (this just happens to be where my car became unsafe to drive) I would go back to them for future service.

Medardo the owner is fantastic! I needed my front brakes done and also needed to have a hitch installed. I showed up at 2:00 and he had it all done by 5:00pm. He even checked my back breaks and told me not to get them done because they had more life left in them. All of that and he barely charged me anything. I tipped him I was so impressed. That man is hard working, honest and he bent over backwards to help me. I happily give him my highest recommendation. From now on I’m not going anywhere else. Car messed up? Call Medardo the car doctor!

I asked if a repair could be done for less than $100 (replacing one brake line) and the mechanic told me he would call me right back. I wasn't called back and called ten minutes later. He then told me he didn't have time to do the work. I asked if it was because I asked if it could be done for under $100 and he said yes. I explained I would be writing a negative review and was told that wasn't a problem. I previously came here for a water pump estimate on a different car and the mechanic made fun of me for previously not wanting him to put a tire on for $10 (I didn't want it changed because of the tread, not the price).

Medardo and his team are incredible! They always call and explain the issue, with transparent pricing, before making any decisions. They break down the cost into parts vs labor and let you make a final choice about repair options. Note that Medardo (owner) is fluent in English but I use Google translate when talking to the other mechanics because I took French in school and not the much-more-useful-in-America Spanish course. I’ve called Medardo when my oil is low and I’m in another state, and he advised me on what kind of oil to buy at AutoZone. They are invested in helping me understand how my car works, which I deeply appreciate.

Don’t let the looks of this place deceive you – they do excellent work and are upfront with customers. It’s a great option for anyone in or around JP. One of the few shops that lets you bring your own oil and filter, and they’ll only charge you a cash price of $25-$30 (don’t bring your debit or credit card). Most other places will charge $60 to $120 and require you to use their own oil and filter.

Menardo was so helpful today! This was my first time going to this shop, I am pet sitting in the area and my brakes stopped working. Even on a busy weekend day, the shop was able to take my car in the morning and have it completely fixed within a couple of hours. Friendly, competent, and reasonably priced!
