I cannot recommend Jake's Brakes more! James was incredibly helpful from the moment I called. I called in the morning, he got me in by the afternoon, and they had my car completely finished by the time they closed. Doug explained what exactly was going on with my jacked-up brakes (northern car, salt-affected) and did a great job with the other guys. Great customer service, great price, and great results. My car no longer makes horrible noises when I try to break and I am very happy. Thank you!!!

After experiencing some delayed stopping when driving, I dropped my car off at Jake's brakes. He called me back after an hour and said that there is nothing wrong with the car except some rusting which will resolve itself (because the car was left parked for a month). He also rotated the tires and filled air. I went to pick it up and he did not charge me anything. The car is now braking fine. I will recommend his shop to anyone looking for honest assessment of brakes, suspensions, and tires.

Such a great experience! Everyone is not only super nice and helpful, but also super knowledgeable, professional, and honest. I called Jake's Brakes Services this morning Dec 9, 2024 regarding my 2013 Dodge Charger ABS/Brakes Module dash lights remaining on. Jake gave me a thorough history on how the system works, what to do and not to done as far as not tampering with short cuts. He also explained the history of failures with the Dodge Brakes module and the long lead time on back orders. Also, he took time to explain in great detail of how the electronics and mechanical procedures works hand and hand.

Jake's Brakes came highly recommended by friends , and they did not disappoint. I heard the tell-tail metal scraping sound, so I figured it was time for brakes. I took it in and they checked it out. It ends up my brakes were fine, but a rusted piece of metal came lose and was scrapping on them, making the noise. They fixed it for 20 bucks and had me on my way. A lot of shops would just do the unnecessary work and overcharge you for it, too. I'll definitely be back!

I am so appreciative of the service I received at Jake’s Brakes. Thomas is one of the nicest people you will meet, period. I must have called their shop a million times just to make sure everything was handled correctly for my wife. They were very up front and honest about the work that needed to be done. I truly wish everyone at every business handled customer service the way Thomas does. Such a pleasure to speak with. My wife totaled her car about a week after getting some work done 😩 but I promise I will never take my vehicles anywhere else for brake jobs. So grateful for what they did for me with my old ford expedition as well. I highly recommend their services to anyone needing work done!

Jake’s has been my go-to place for honest, reliable and professional brake work for years. I honestly can’t thank them enough the safety and reliability they provide their customers. My older Honda started getting a terrible front wheel shimmy that I was expecting to cost a fortune in tie rods & transfer axels, but it turned out to be a steel belt was damaged/bulging in the right front tire, and a chunk of tread was torn out. Jake’s installed & balanced 2 new FB don’t tires, and the old Honda drives as good as new! Thanks!

I took our car which has been having trouble with brakes. Other shops said nothing wrong on the computer, but Thomas at Jakes brakes took the actual time to not only test drive he took parts and cleaned them, put back together removing residue which seems to have been cause of the problem. Long time shop, known as best for Brakes in Tallahassee. 100% suggest you try them for any brake job or brake related issue.
