I came in today on my way to work when my check engine light turned on suddenly. I’m not very knowledgeable on cars and my dad typically does all my repairs for me. He’s picky about where I get my car checked out but since I’m in Tallahassee for school, he isn’t able to be there with me when my car has troubles when I’m up here. I’ve had negative experiences with other automotive shops here in Tallahassee where I was told my brakes/rotors/calipers were melted together and I needed them completely replaced. The mechanic took them out of my car without my permission and essentially forced me to pay for the repairs otherwise I would be unable to even drive somewhere else. However, I did not have an experience anywhere near that with Jowers. I got there right at 8am when they open and they already had a line of people waiting in the lobby. A man (who reminded me a lot of my dad) took care of me right away and diagnosed my car, free of charge, and took care of me within minutes. I was on the verge of tears when I came in and unable to form a sentence but the man was so kind and made me feel at home. I appreciate the speedy service as I needed to get to my job ASAP. I need some work done on my car very soon, so when I have the money saved for that, you guys will definitely have my business. Thank you so much again for your help, politeness. and care for your customers.

My son just moved up to Tallahassee for college. He had an issue with his headlight going out and I used next-door to find a local mechanic. Jowers came highly recommended and my son took his car in this morning and the mechanic looked at it and fixed it quickly for him. The auto shop was kind, trustworthy, and took care of a problem very quickly. Moving forward if we need anything done to his car this will be the place that we will take the car into. I was recommended to Jowers by a friend when I thought my shocks were going bad. I spoke on the phone with Kevin and he was the nicest guy ever, met him in person the next morning and his personality stayed the same. Left my car with him for half the day and ultimately it was a problem with my tires but I really appreciated Kevin’s honesty and kindness. Incredibly honest mechanic shop! Back in November, I had a small wiring issue with my car's AC and wanted a professional to fix it so I knew that it was done correctly. I saw this mechanic had good reviews across the Internet. The man in the front office was extremely kind and fixed it within 5 minutes for free (it was just a matter of plugging something back in). I definitely would come back here for a larger issue and would recommend Jower's to anyone having car trouble.

I will never take my vehicles anywhere else. Hardworking, honest folks at Jowers. They were extremely honest with the cost of my work and did not try to upcharge me for anything. Got my very old ford expedition back up and running in a very reasonable time and were so kind to me the million times I called their business. She even helped me with suggestions on where I could store my vehicle for a couple of days while I waited on them to get the work done. Work was done in the time they said and I am grateful I found them. Highly recommend using their services!

My parents went to Jowers for decades until my father passed away. He trusted them to take care of our cars and enjoyed talking to all the folks that worked there. I have taken my car here twice over the past few years and I will keep coming back for my future car repair needs. They are honest, hardworking, no-nonsense folks. I got some strut/CV joint repaired for the first visit, and brake replacements on the second visit. On both occurrences, they always straight up told me what is wrong, how much it costs to fix the issue (which, honestly, I think they could have charged higher for the quality of work that they performed), and they have never given me the "oh, now you will need to replace X, Y, Z as well". Just what you asked for and anything else that is relevant. Small works are usually done within a day - drop off in the morning on my way to work, pick it up by 4-5 pm. Always a pleasure to trust my car's repair and maintenance to Jowers.

10-2025 Kevin won’t let me spend any money. Turns out past mechanics LIED. 8-2025 HONEST & 3 GENERATIONS‼️ Kevin’s dad, Homer, opened Jan 2, 1959! Kyle, right, just as great as Kevin. And that’s great‼️ mechanic Zack told me I had 10k miles left on brakes another shop said were DIRE‼️ nearly dangerous. Now that I know these people I’ll be fooled no more!

I recently got my girlfriends car back up running. However, she's been feeling instability when going over speed humps and felt like something was off. After hours of looking at shops I found several recommendations for Jowers. Went in with her and didn't even have to. Friendly, honest, kindest, welcoming folks who do take utmost pride in what they do and treat you with the highest level of respect as a customer. Very clean shop, honorable customer service from Kevin and Kyle, who both kept me updated along the way. I didn’t catch the name of the lady at the counter who took great care of me too, and spoke very highly of their 3rd generation family business. Fantastic job, solved every vehicular problem I had, in and out, less than one 8-hr day. They even keep their doors open til 5:30 so you can pick up after work. I expected it to cost much more for this job today, but that’s just a testament to: they charge you fairly, and you won’t be charged for unnecessary parts, labor, and services. Jowers is an extremely fair shop and I left happier every time, my car was in good hands. I’ve already told all my friends about them! Many thanks to the people at Jowers, and now knowing where to return to at any time in Tallahassee for terrific car maintenance and repairs!
