Went in because my 2004 Honda Accord was leaking oil. They did a full service and found the leak. Reasonably priced and would definitely come again.

Stumbled here after the honda dealer said he was too busy to look at why my A/C blows hot air on one of the hottest days of September. I had to drive back home to SoCal. "You know I am never going to come back here, right?" Is what I said after Mike figured out what was wrong, fixed the fuse, gave me an extra fuse "just in case" and refused to take any money for what he called "such a simple thing"! He could have easily gotten a few hundreds off me knowing I was looking at driving 8 hrs in 100+ degree weather, but chose to do the right thing instead. Gave me good tips on how to deal with situation if A\C fails again on the grades @ Grapevine. The combination of technical automotive expertise and good trustworthy business is so rare in auto shops these days. I highly recommend this place.

I always got fair and honest service from the team here back when I owned my Acura. They managed their appointments so well I never waited more than three or four minutes to be seen for service. If I get another Japanese car I will go back to these guys in a heartbeat.

STOP! You do not need to go to any other auto repair then right here (Japanese models only). I've been coming here since when the guys only serviced Hondas (hence the name Japanese Beetle Shop, at least back in those days). They have service our 1997 (that's right folks) Honda Accord Wagon since 1997. Mike and Dave are the BEST. Fair, honest, quality auto repair. Reliable, on time delivery. I support our local independents. Even better when they provide outstanding service with a smile. Chat up a storm with Mike (I can call him Mickey) about his kids and anything else. Highly recommended. No frills but who needs your car washed and pickup service when you can TRUST the mechanic who works on your car?

Mike is a professional guy and really helpful. Doesn't brush you off like dealerships if you ask questions. Mike answered all the questions, concerns and also noted a few small extra things I requested him to look at. Found it a little expensive for regular servicing than the package I had received from Toyota dealership earlier, but I'd say it was worth each extra penny.

My family and I have been using their services for over 25 years or 3 generations of our family. They have always done excellent work. They helped us replace small items like a clutch to lately replacing a whole engine. Thanks again for your quality work and great service.

No judgement. First time for fluid transmission. When pick up the car, was said both tie rod ends need to be replaced. But first to do is replacing tires that are bad then technician will do the work and alignment. I agreed with price quote. When I brought my car to Costco was said that all tires are good for at least 7000 - 10000 miles (they are 2 year new Michelin bought at Costco under warranty). I was still not convinced, went to another Costco location to double check. Same thing, 2 guys came out to inspect my tires and said exactly the same. One of them was surprised why I need new tires. I told him the repair shop recommended due to tie rod end damaged. He suggested for a second opinion. I went to another repair shop rated as one of the top trusted in the area. After going on a test drive and open up my tires to inspect closely. the new technician told me that he doesn't see any thing wrong. I offered to pay for the inspection time. He refused.

This place is outstanding. They are great mechanics and do a very good job - at a very fair price! What really makes them stand out is their no frills, honest approach. They will diagnose and fix what's wrong with your car. I've never felt they're searching for issues that aren't there to get more out of you. I've been coming here for +2 years, and my car is running great, with 231k miles on it! Mike and the rest of the Japanese Beetle team deserve their due credit for that. If you have an import car (especially Honda / Acura), bring it here to get service. You will be happy you did. This place is a gem.

I called in about an error code with my Honda and they gave me EXCELLENT advice over the phone, and it saved me at least $1k. I will have to go down to the shop and thank them personally some day.

I have been coming to Japanese beetle for 20 to 30 years now and they are the best mechanics I've ever done business with. Extremely knowledgeable and very fair priced and honest. Mike and David are two brothers that own the shop and they are as solid as they come

Mike is a real one. I've been coming here for about 8 years now with a 2000 Honda accord and now a 2019 accord and they are super nice, friendly, get the job done well, and I've never felt like I was being taken advantage of.

They are very knowledgeable about my car and care about my safety. When I called and told them that my honda accord wheel nuts got stolen and the wheel fell off while driving they know exactly what’s wrong with my car and told me to come the next day because it’s unsafe to drive in that condition. The other auto shop would’ve charged me a thousand bucks to fix and inspect. Very nice people would definitely come here for future issues.

Excellent!!! A shop that cares and it shows. Both brothers (owners) are great guys. I wish I had discovered Japanese Beetle many years ago. I recently had work done on my Toyota Fj Cruiser and could not be happier. Quality work done quickly with a fair price. Honest and thorough. I will bring all my vehicles here from now on. Highly recommended!!!

I’ve been a loyal customer at this shop for quite some time, and my previous encounters were positive. However, my recent visit turned into a nightmare. I brought in my Lexus for an alternator replacement, but things went downhill from there. The shop broke my radiator during the repair and then called me to say that I have to change that too. They had the audacity to charge me $600 for a part that was working perfectly fine when I took the car in for the original Alternator replacement. Their explanation? Labor was free, but I had to cover the cost of the radiator. Their claim that labor was free to replace what they broke, felt like a cruel joke. The original $900 repair turned into a costly $1500. This experience left me frustrated and questioning their integrity. Their actions were anything but honest, leaving me feeling betrayed. As a long-time customer, I expected better. Beware if you’re considering their services! Never going back there...

Mike was professional, allowed me to bring in my own parts, ensured that the part was compatible, and took the time to explain the process. He did not try to uncharge me at all. His prices were very reasonable for the work being done. Overall I am very satisfied with the fine work done here and highly recommend this place! Thank you Mike and I'll be sure to drop by here if I need anything else!

Had an amazing experience working with Mike. This was my first time. But now I will be their regular customer. Mike took care of brake light fuse issue with our Toyota Sienna, quickly and explained to me what the issue was.

Where do I even start. Besides the fact that these guys genuinely seem happy working there. Nobody and I mean NOBODY can beat their prices. Without getting into detail. They sold so many issues my little CRX had without making me break the bank. They're honest and genuine. Im will always be willing pay a $30 dollar Lyft to drop off my cat knowing they'll solve my car issues. You guys rock. P.S I never leave reviews for anyone but you guys deserve it.

Mike is the most honest and straightforward shop representative I've ever spoken to. I called from SoCal regarding my daughters 2003 Toyota Camry. Being a busy student at Cal State San Jose, she needed her car working reliably. She went in by herself and he took a look at the car and offered an easy remedy without drama. This is unheard of these days. The world needs more people like this gentleman! She'll go there as long as she's in the area and refer all her friends. Thanks Mike! You're a good dude and I wish the best for you and your family! Cheers!

No written estimates and vague invoices. After a costly repair, they quoted another $500+ to fix leak in the same area. All quotes were verbal, and invoices were handwritten. At least a two-week's wait for an appointment. It shows their service is in high demand. They physically examine the car rather than relying solely on a diagnostic device, which I appreciated. Their pricing is reasonable. For those who are willing to return several times to get an issue fully resolved and don’t mind waiting a bit for service, this shop may be a good fit.
