I brought my 89 BMW to them with a project that nobody else wanted to touch. The car is an 89, the engine is a 96 and I wanted to swap in a transmission from a 2002. Joe agreed to take a look, which was way more than anyone else offered. Well, I’m happy to say that my car now has a 6 speed and I couldn’t be happier with the work they did. Great communication and excellent work. The whole group at Jay Egge are good people and honest. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again and send friends and family there.

I was heading up to South Dakota for a Veteran Pheasant hunt and my transmission failed in my Silverado. Jay Egge was recommended so was able to trailer the truck there and they confirmed it was done. Jay Egge accommodated me by having a fast turnaround and maintained contact as the process was completed. They were willing to even trailer my truck part way to lessen the inconvenience. They even recognized me as a Veteran and gave me a discount on my repair bill. If you ever need service you can trust this shop to be trustworthy and will continue to provide exceptional customer service and do their best to accommodate your circumstance. New years morning the transmission in our F-150 started acting really funky. A friend recommended I head over to Jay Egge and ask for Simeun so i reached out explained what was going on with the pickup and that I had an Extended warranty on the pickup and didn’t know if this might be something that was covered or not. Simeun completely took over the entire process from there! I brought the truck in he test drove it and felt the issues we were experiencing. I left it with him and within 24 hours the problem was diagnosed and the warranty company reached out too for approval to get the repairs completed. It needed a full rebuild and this team knocked it out in less than 4 business days!!! We cannot express our gratitude enough for the whole crew at Jay Egge for getting this in and out and my family back on the road!

I had a very positive experience here with Simeon who was able to schedule me right away even though I called at the last minute. When I explained my predicament he was reassuring and knowledgeable, and offered me a loaner for the time that they would be working on my vehicle. They also diagnosed and repaired my vehicle the same day I brought it in at a third of the cost that Ford was going to charge me. Overall my rating of Jay Egge would be 12 out of 10 and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for transmission work on their vehicle. This review was made a few weeks after the work was completed and can say that they diagnosed the work correctly and fixed the actual problem. Have not had any issues since they took care of my pickup.

Recently had a transmission go out in my vehicle and they went above and beyond to make sure I was back on the road as soon as possible. They also have had my 1947 Willys Jeep in and not only were able to rebuild the transmission but did so in quick order when other places said they don't work on vehicles that old they were open to the challenge. I wish I could rate this business a 0. They replaced the transmission in our Jeep after our mechanic brought it 60 miles to them. It acted up after a couple months so it was brought back to them. They had it for 2 months and claimed it was fixed. We drove it 1 mile and brought it back because it obviously wasn't fixed at all. The owner came personally and picked it up. They had it for another 3 months. They claimed it was a battery and then it was the computer. They sent it back still not fixed and said it was probably oxygen sensors. They didn't stand behind the transmission they put in. Our mechanic decided to put one at his own expense and it runs beautiful!! Jay Egge Transmission should pay my mechanic for doing the warranty work that they refused to do. Run fast from this business.

Outstanding service. I called Jay Egge Automatic Service about my transmission slipping and asked how much it would cost to have it checked. They told me it would be free and only take about 15–20 minutes to rule things out. When I arrived, the mechanic came out, we test drove my car, and they quickly confirmed that my transmission is going out. Even though it wasn’t great news, they were honest, quick, and very professional. The best part is they didn’t charge me anything for the diagnosis. Another shop I considered was going to charge almost $300 just to look at it. Because of how fair and friendly they were, any future transmission work I need will absolutely be done here. Highly recommend these guys.
