Brought my 1985 car in 2 years ago to get work done on the windshield. They used butyl tape to my knowledge instead of using polyurethane adhesive. Didn't know this till I took it to midwest auto glass and was told this and showed me the difference. He also showed me how my windshield has slid down from the original spot and and is why it was leaking again. Jayhawk told me that they could fix it with the correct adhesive, but it would cost me 100 for them to use the correct material cause it's been longer than a year. And that's all their warranty covers. Very disappointed at them.

My truck came out with more scratches then when I first took it in. Then they had the nerve to laugh about it and deny it till the end. So finally they fixed most of the initial scratches the 2nd time and then it came out with even more scratches. And was missing the original factory tape on the doors which never got fixed. Customers Don't take your vehicle there unless u want more damage done to your vehicle. Incompetent and sloppy workers. They got some bad apples in their business and Need to be Fired! WORST SHOP IN TOPEKA! American Family insurance, take them off your list. Guaranteed I'm not the first to expose them and won't be the last to expose them!

Let me start by saying the one star is because we had to put one to be able to review. We took our 4Runner in to have the drivers side mirror fixed and to have a scratch on the back tailgate fixed. We received an estimate of around $700. We then received a call saying they broke the trim on the tailgate so the price was going to be closer to $1,100. I then spoke to them on the phone and explained to them I couldn't comprehend why something they broke was my responsibility and after much back and forth was told they had to speak to the owner and they would call me back. Three and a half hours later I called back and was told the price would be the original estimate. We went and picked it up today and the total bill was $1,138.83. The guy at the counter said there were some other issues they had to fix. Then to add injury to insult he tried to patronize me by explaining "how estimates work". Bottom line: Do not take your vehicle here. They are liars and will cheat you into paying for their mistakes.

Amazing service. Jayhawk Body Shop got my car in for repairs when others said it would be 2-3 months. Work was completed within two days when others said 5 days, and up to 3 weeks at one place! They were responsive to email and greeted me at the shop with a smile and "how can we help you today". Finally, when I picked up the car they thanked me for choosing them to do the work. Don't hesitate to do business with Jayhawk - I was completely impressed.

Overly impressed with this place! I took my husbands truck in this morning and they were able to take it before technically being open which helped not being late to work. Then it was completed within the hour! We also price checked with other Topeka companies and they were cheaper than most! The building was clean and very welcoming!! Also 5 stars on the customer service! Overall extremely impressed and pleased!

1st off let me say they have poor customer service and lack of communication. My car went in for a front bumper replacement and replace a headlight, and repair the quarter panel. The 1st bumper they put on was a AFM bumper which do not fit correctly on toyotas. So they had to put on a OEM bumper. When I picked up my vehicle we showed the guy that there was still issues and the only thing he said was it's not going to be perfect. Good thing I didn't have to pay for such crappy service because my bumper still don't stay in it continues to pop out just like the AFM bumper did. So now I'm thinking maybe they didn't replace it because I'm still having issues. I will never recommend this place to anyone I know or will I ever take my vehicles here ever again. Such sloppy work and they don't care and long as they get paid.

My Honda HR-V needed the back glass replaced due to a manufacturer recall. Sharp Honda uses Jayhawk for that service. They came to Sharp and replaced the glass. However, they were very careless and left 3 very noticeable scratches on my very clean 2 year old car. When addressed, they did not want to take responsibility and tried to say they couldn’t have done it. Of course, they did not point out or acknowledge the scratches when they did it. We will never use them or allow them to touch another vehicle we own due to their careless technicians and because they refused to accept responsibility. Be careful when you assume they will do a professionally job

I had my rear window replaced and the price here was very reasonable (cheaper than Safelite) and they were just very easy to work with as they were simultaneously low-key and quite organized. I made an online quote request, to which they responded both by email and phone call. I was easily able to call and make an appointment for 2 days out They let me drop off my car the night before and kept it in the garage overnight. When I dropped it off, they had the invoice ready, so I didn't have to worry about the pricing being different from what was discussed over the phone. The next day, they called to let me know it was ready for pickup. Easy-peezy - I would recommend!

Got a quote. Insurance came back with a higher quote so they raised there quote to match stating they are required to do this. Then found out they third parties the work so they couldn’t give an actual quote. When asked why did you waste 5 hours of our time when you can give it accurately got no real answer. Car was dirty and the one part that had to be replaced and painted had buffer marks. Would never recommend for any work.

Recommended this place to a friend. She made an appointment and dropped her car off early that morning. When I took her to pick it up, car had not been touched and keys were in the drop box. The guy working there found the paperwork for her appointment and all he could say was, well we made a mistake. Never said they were sorry. Told her to bring car back the next day. They ended up sending someone to replace the windshield at her work but never told her that he couldn't do the calibration so she had to go back in. Still never said they were sorry. Then when she stopped by to have them calibrate the windshield, nobody was there to do it and was told to bring it back again. The guy acted like she was the one who messed up. She asked for something for the inconveniences she experienced and the guy was nasty rude.

I called on a Friday to schedule an appointment for a windshield replacement. I was told to drop it off on Monday, leave my keys in the drop box, and they would get it done. Went back at 4:30 that day to pick it up, and it hadn't been touched. They "forgot" my car was there for a new windshield. They had my work order in the "Monday" folder, acknowledged that they remembered talking to me the week prior, but they just forgot to do it. I was asked to make another appointment, which I would have to make special arrangements for transportation to/from work again, as they did not have their "courier" working this week. After discussing the pain it was to get to and from there that day, and trying to arrange transportation for a second day, I was told that they could come to my place of employment the next day to replace it. Mark did a phenomenal job and was very courteous and efficient, but mentioned that I would have to go back to the shop to have it recalibrated, about a 15 minute service, to work with my car's smart features. Fast forward to Tuesday afternoon... I stop by at approximately 3:45pm to have it recalibrated, at which time I am told there is no one there that can do it, I will have to schedule another appointment. After being "forgotten" the day before, and not being told about the inability to calibrate it by the mobile tech until after he was finished installing it, making another appointment sounded absurd. I inquired about the astronomical price for that service, and if there was a possibility of receiving a discount because of all the trouble it was to get accomplished. The response I received was loud and rude, at which point I thanked them for the windshield replacement and let then know that I will go elsewhere with my business. The lack of polite customer service has encouraged me to never recommend Jayhawk to anyone again.

My window on my old mustang busted due to the door not being aligned properly. The technician not only installed the window and installed new door dowels so i can shut my door with ease again, but charged a VERY reasonable rate to fix everything. I will definitely be using them in the future and recommend this place to my friends and family!

Wasted about 7’000$ on a Nissan Versa front bumper repair out of pocket it wasn’t the right bumper they shaved it down didn’t even have the right stuff or anything holding it popped right back off damaged my tire wells to my car & damaged other surrounding areas around my grill that wasn’t fastened down either not to mention all the holes they drilled into my front bumper when the bumper already has holes for clamps to suck in it these people lack common sense I thought it would be less of a hassle to have them put it on for me with me having little time or $$$ I wouldn’t recommend these people to nobody I know they will not get our business or anyone we know of that’s for sure thank you JayHawk for Screwing me Out of my money & damaging my car in the process while needing a new bumper that cain’t be put on due to you’re shade tree auto body repair not to mention my air intake that is connected to the front of my grill is damages causing a vacuum leak you people should be shut down in all seriousness!

I was pleased with the work that they did on my vehicle, but was no happy that they just left my dash covered in the dust that you get when you sand down the vehicle to repaint, and my phone holder that was stuck to the old windshield was lying on my floorboard at drivers feet. Not Good!!

Went in for an glass replacement. I took pictures of my car before and after the service for my safety and because of the bad reviews I had seen about this company. My car was significantly damaged in all the areas near the windshield. I contacted the company and asked them respectfully to help me resolve this issue to avoid any legal or further implications. The owner straight out called me a liar and said that they did not do any of those damages, and that those damages are pre-existing. Terrible company, terrible customer service, and zero accountability.

Great price. Not very honest. I took before and after pictures and this trim around the window was broken and unable to go back in place properly. The owner told me “it’s not broken,” “You need to buy a new cowling,” and “This happens because it was glued in.” He told me it wasn’t broken from behind the counter. Came outside and proceeded to lie about the reason it’s broken and that it’s not their fault, when it wasn’t broken 2 hours ago. It also wasn’t glued in because, if it were, the “glued” area wouldn’t have been full of dust and there would have been remnants of glue. They were just forceful, reckless, and unaccountable. Best price out of 3 shops I called though.
