Matt and the crew at JB Auto were not only the only place open on a Sunday.. they were friendly, professional and a dog friendly establishment. I stopped by for an emergency and left feeling safe and happy after a great and knowledgeable experience. I will definitely return and recommend to others in the area. The waiting area was clean. It had T.V’s, refreshments and hot coffee! Nice touch.

I don’t usually write reviews, but honestly JB Auto Care deserves one. Matt and the guys at the front desk were friendly and professional. I went in thinking I had one nail in my tire… turns out I had three nails in three different tires, so my day was already a mess. Matt was super knowledgeable and totally transparent about pricing. He understood I was trying to keep costs reasonable and gave me time to figure out whether I had tire/wheel coverage. Once I realized I did, he handled everything — even dealing with the insurance for me — which was such a relief. And honestly, even listening to how they talked to other people on the phone — professional, patient, respectful — it showed they treat everyone well, not just whoever’s standing right there. What should’ve been a chaotic, stressful morning ended up going smoothly because of how helpful they were. Highly recommend JB Auto. Good customer service is hard to come by these days, and they really came through.

We were visiting Quincy when, on a Sunday afternoon, we encountered an unexpected problem with our brakes. Online research showed that AAA gave JB Auto a very high rating. I called JB Auto the first thing Monday morning, spoke with Jack and, to my amazement, he said, “sure, we can fix your brakes and we can take care of it this morning.” We went to JB Auto, but we were worried when we saw how many cars were there, but Jack and the staff at JB Auto totally lived up to their promise. They expertly, and quickly, repaired our brakes at at a fair price. We were able to return to our out-of-state home in short order. We couldn’t be more pleased with JB Auto.

New to Weymouth + JB Auto, but wow was I impressed! My 10+ year old Toyota was in need of a lot of maintenance and Bill and team were thorough, communicative, and honest about what the car really needed to get me another 100k miles. So nice to be able to know and trust the work and guidance of your local mechanic, especially with today's prices. I felt well cared for and like I could be honest about my budget, needs, and concerns. Thank you JB Auto, you're now our go to for all future auto needs!

DO NOT COME HERE !! They do not care about you and your car. SCAM !!!! I had a very bad experience at this shop. I brought my own brake pads and rotors and also asked for an oil change, which I paid $97 for. My appointment was at 10am, and I called at 9:30am asking for an estimate, but they said they could only give estimates in person. When I arrived, they still couldn’t give me one. That made no sense every car shop should be able to give an estimate. They didn’t call me with an estimate until around 3pm, hours later. Then they said I needed new brake calipers. I asked for the price, but they said they didn’t have it yet. They kept calling me back and forth, and finally on the fourth call they gave me an estimate of $1,800 just for rear brakes — and I already brought my own parts. When I said I didn’t approve the job, the guy got angry on the phone. When I went to pick up my car, the service advisor was very rude and kept saying they are a “luxury shop.” When I tried to explain that I could get calipers at AutoZone for $140, he started judging me and made me feel disrespected, just because I drive a Prius. When I got home, I checked the oil and there was no oil in the engine, even though I paid $97 for the oil change. I called them back, they put me on hold for 15 minutes, and then hung up on me. I had to take my car to Valvoline to fix their mistake. Overall, terrible service, rude staff, no communication, and no accountability. I do not recommend this shop to anyone.

I was having an issue with the hood of my VW bug securely latching. I called JB auto and got an appointment right away. I asked for an oil change and an inspection which determined an issue with the rear parking brake which needed to be fixed to pass inspection. It's great they send a video of the technician showing the underside of the car and why it needed to be fixed plus an informative video on the issue. It was an unexpected expensive repair but fairly priced done in record time. EVERYONE on the phone and in person there is super polite. Big thanks to my tech JACK!

They did a great job repairing my mom’s car. They tried multiple solutions until they were able to pinpoint the exact issue and repair it correctly. They called the insurance company to make sure the work was being covered by the warranty. When it was time to pick up the car, Joe was so kind to my mom and patiently explained all the work that was done. I recommend JB auto for their skilled technicians, great service and incredibly personal team. Thank you!!!

I had my car maintenance and multipoint inspection (free of charge!) done with Jack and had an amazing experience! I appreciated how soon Jack notified me on what required immediate attention. I also appreciated the detailed videos and motor visuals that helped me clearly understand what was going on with my car. Jack was very accommodating and even offered loaner options so I could get to work safely while my car was being repaired. Will definitely be coming back here again!

From the beginning my experience with this place was a headache. I called to see how long the wait was for an inspection and instead of giving me a time, they said "now would be a good time to come." I was already in the area so it only took me 2 minutes to get there. Then the guy I was working with, Christian, took all my information before telling me it would be an hour-to an hour and a half. It would have been fine if he were just up front about that from the start so I could plan my day. Then, they failed me for my tires and he said they would be able to order new tires for me and have them installed the next day around 9:30am. He made it seem like my tires were in very bad shape and said to be careful driving anywhere with them, so I wanted to get them replaced quickly. I called them back shortly after to see if I could come after work the following day, between 4-5pm. The guy on the phone said no problem and he would let Christian know. The next morning I got a call asking about my satisfaction of my experience with them, and I reminded them that I was scheduled to come in later that day to get my tires replaced. The guy on the phone said Christian should already be aware but he would give him another reminder. I then left work early and drove all the way there just for Christian to tell me the tires were not delivered. I was frustrated that they didn't call me to tell me that. I said I was anxious about getting them done because I was nervous to drive and he said that it wasn't a big issue and people drive ok rejected stickers for awhile. He then spoke to the people delivering the tires and said they should be there by 10:30am the next day and he would give me a call first thing in the morning. I received no call and waited until 10:30am to call and get an update. I was told that I would be placed on hold while they check the status of my car. I then waited on hold for 20 minutes before hanging up and calling back. When I called back someone else answered and was able to give me an accurate timeline of when my car would be ready. I then go to pick my car up when it's ready and as I am about to get my car, they ask if I need an updated "pass" inspection sticker since they had rejected me initially. I said yes as that was the whole reason I had come in the first place so then had to wait another 30 minutes for it to be completed. Overall the communication was horrendous and I will not be returning.

I had an absolutely fantastic experience at JB Autos in Weymouth yesterday. I went in for an oil change, an oil filter replacement, and some front brake work. The pricing was really fair, and the service was top-notch. The technician who helped me was incredibly professional, polite, and friendly. He even took the time to walk me through everything about my car on three separate occasions, making sure I understood all the work being done. Overall, it was just a great experience. Definitely a five-star service!

There are always many options for where to repair your vehicle but when you do you should go to JB Auto Care. Not only did they take care of my vehicle repairs the exact same day ! ( A Saturday!) but they called me multiple times to make sure I knew every step of the way and also evaluated future maintenance opportunities with me in a clear and concise manner. As someone who is working out of state here and a little out of my element- they made me feel confident and well taken care of- and I will ONLY use them for my continued short term stay here in Boston. Loved the check in a few days later/ you guys are Fire 🔥- keep it up!!

I had a wonderful experience with JB Auto. I brought my car in because it wouldn't start. I was greeted by Jack and given a tour of the shop. Throughout the process, Joe kept me updated, answered my questions, and was transparent about pricing/recommended services. I was respected and not pressured to get services or parts without my input. On top of that, Joe went above and beyond and even got me an Uber to the shop a little after closing so I could pick up the car! In my opinion, JB Auto is well worth checking out. I can’t say enough good things about my experience at JB Auto Care. I came in during a real crisis with my car, feeling stressed and overwhelmed, and from the very beginning, they treated me with kindness, patience, and respect. Bill and Paul were the main ones who helped me through everything, and I am truly grateful for them. They took the time to listen to my concerns, explain what was going on with my car in a way I could understand, and walk me through my options without making me feel pressured. In a moment where I felt anxious and unsure, they made me feel heard, supported, and reassured. What stood out the most was their honesty and professionalism. I genuinely felt like my car was in good hands and that they cared about doing what was best for me — not just making a sale. That level of integrity means a lot, especially when you’re dealing with car issues unexpectedly. They also provided Lyft service, which was incredibly convenient and thoughtful. It made the whole process so much easier while my car was being worked on. That extra level of customer care shows how much they value their clients’ time and comfort. I happened to be in that area so I popped into JB Auto Care to get an inspection sticker for a 2023 Subaru Legacy that I just bought and registered a week before. My mother used to get her inspections done there years ago and I remember JB as a little service center/gas station, but this place has undergone a massive expansion and I almost thought I pulled into the wrong place. It was after 3P when I got there (I was thinking the inspection would be a quick service and that it wouldn't be too late to just drop in). I was greeted by a fellow who - if I remember correctly - was named Joe. He was extremely welcoming and helpful. When I bought the car I was already aware that I was going to need new tires very soon and that the breaks were going to need attention. In turns out that the tires were in worse shape than I thought and that the car was not going to pass inspection because of the state of them. They also flagged also flagged the issue with the rear breaks - which I'll have to address before then end of this year. Because JB Auto is now a full service center, they actually do tires and suggested mid-price range all-weather tires that they had in stock and despite that late hour, Joe assured me they could do the tires, alignment, oil change, inspection, that afternoon/evening. And the total cost came in well under what I had budgeted for the tires alone. All of this did not take long. Joe dropped me off at the Shipyard area, as I had errands to run and then another JB associate retrieved me once the car was finished. I'm so impressed by this whole experience. To say they go above and beyond is an understatement and I highly recommend JB Auto to anyone needing comprehensive auto services.
