Bought a mazda3 from them in 2023. Terrible experience and be warned. Not only was my car overpriced - which an employee acknowledged, but any attempts at haggling was an attempt at upselling. The owner was extremely rude. The cars are bought at auction and shoddily repaired. Over the last year I’ve had to repair AC, lots of suspension parts. It has had check engine lights, airbag lights, tire pressure not holding, engine whine. The speed sensor was not plugged in when I took it to my mechanic, missing a condenser. They told me they would fix issues that it came with but then stopped responding. Outrageous fees and bad financing. And then when I attempted to transfer the title out of state, whoever completed the title transfer messed up and my title was incomplete adding to additional headache. Scummy and overpriced, please don’t go here. Buy private seller, less of a headache because they aren’t trying to make money off your back EDIT: their reply is clearly false because I have receipts of acknowledgement of the faults with their car. A missing condenser is not a wear and tear item, and I have texts from Jasper showing that I could bring it in for the warning lights. They are SCAMMERS. Avoid at all costs. Still dealing with the title issue. Sloppy shop and terrible, horrible people

I purchased a used car from JDM Auto yesterday and had a very pleasant experience. The car appears to be in excellent working order for its age (engine sounds good, no leaks, and all fluids were full), and the dealership provided half a tank of gas to drive the car off the lot. The most fun part was the conclusion of the sale: posing for a photo with the car with a huge red bow on the car hood. I have never before bought a vehicle from a dealership that does this. Thank you again, Jasper and Rose, for a pleasant and memorable purchasing experience!

Had a great experience at JDM! I initally thought the prices were a bit high, but once Jasper explained all the services and work that had already been done on the car, I felt much more confident in the value he was super helpful, patient, and made the car buying process smooth and stress-free. Rose in finance was also amazing and helped me get into a car. Highly recommend JDM if you're looking for great service and a team that really cares!

My daughter found this 2010 Jetta on line and I was skeptical at first. We went on a Sunday when they where closed to look at the car. I was impressed in what great shape it was in. Many people look at this picture and think I got her a new car. I came back to test drive the vehicle and it ran great. I asked for the car fax and they gave it to me, no problem. Driving the car for 30 days no issues at all. Will get my next vehicle from this dealership next year.

Rose is by far the worst sales person i have ever dealt with. She treats people as if they do not have money to spend. Practically had to beg her for info on the car I was interested in and she act stuck up and ignored me most of the time until I started working with another sales staff then she tried to be friendly. Took my money elsewhere.

This review is way overdue. This is amazing place to get a used car. I came from out of state almost 4 hours to get a car here. I initially had a conversation with Jasper, an amazing person, and Rose who was caring and delightful. Also T who took for a test drive and picked me up. I met Olivia and Jabor, , the owner who treats the car itself as a passion since childhood. He is the passion that drives this business. All of them are amazing. They are a family owned business. They treat all there customers and cars with respect and care. Please treat them with respect and kindness back. Jabor picks cars that are clean. Trust yourself - If you see a car come in and look it - Trust yourself. They want you to win and to be happy. You can get it inspected independently if you want. Be kind to them and they will be kind back. They try there very best to get you a great car that fits your needs. They are very good people and they want you to be happy. This is not your average or even close to used car dealership or dealership. This is an amazing place. Ask questions, make sure the car is right for you remember these are used cars. They cannot promise everything since it is a used car. But they want you to win. Do yourself a favor if you see a car that seems to work for you get over to JDM Auto you will be happy you did. These are kind straight forward people that truly want you to win. I cannot say enough thanks to these very kind people when I was in a time of need. Many Thanks and much Prosperity and Success. Jeff

The Process Was Great And The Staff Was Awesome. A Lot Of People Ask Me Why Did I Travel So Far To Purchased a Vehicle? Because Of The Great Reviews and Great Comments. I Drove My Nissan Maxima Back Home It Took Me 13 Hours to Get Back To Wisconsin. But I Promise You Guys It Was worth it. JDM You Guys Rock. Looking Forward To Make Another Purchased Soon.

I highly recommend JDM Auto for anyone looking for a used car anywhere near Fredericksburg. I live in Richmond and was unfortunately in the position of having to replace a totaled Ford Focus. My wife and I saw JDM’s listing for a Volkswagen Tiguan that met our needs and budget perfectly. The entire team at JDM is incredibly nice and professional, and we were fortunate enough to speak to several members of the crew there. They were knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. Their combined effort made the entire buying process as painless as possible. In short, they got us a good car for a good price and provided good customer service! You can’t beat that.

Wonderful dealership with fantastic associates working there. I came from out of state, and they took care of pain-free financing options for me. Drove 5 hours, and the car was immaculate and ready to go as soon as I arrived. Will be returning here for future vehicles, and I 10/10 recommend them!

I purchased a 2014 Jeep Wrangler from this dealer in October 2023. The price was fair, they were friendly, and the transaction went smoothly. However, I strongly recommend bringing a trusted mechanic before buying, as the dealer does not conduct thorough inspections and does not disclose existing issues, even when asked. During the test drive, I noticed a strong coolant smell, which the salesperson dismissed. After the purchase, I discovered a hidden radiator leak—an issue common for this model year. I requested an emissions test but since Fredericksburg did not require it, I had to pay them $100 for emissions testing, only to later find tampering: “anti-foulers” had been installed on the oxygen sensors to trick the system into passing. The dealer denied any responsibility, blaming the previous owner. I found it odd that they took the Jeep all the way to Alexandria to have the emissions test done with a passing result. It became clear that basic maintenance had been neglected—the spark plugs had never been changed, the air filter was extremely dirty, and several diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) were active due to these issues. After a month and an oil change, the well-known 3.6L lifter tick appeared, and teardown revealed a worn lifter, indicating a long-standing problem likely masked with additives. In short, this dealership does not properly inspect the vehicles they resell. Be cautious, and have a knowledgeable mechanic inspect anything before you buy to avoid costly surprises and questionable practices.

Had a great experience looking at and picking up my 2020 Toyota 86 from here, buying process was easy and staff was great. Had to drive 4 hours from there to where I live haven’t had a single issue from the car. It still needs some TLC but I was aware when I bought and it’s ntg major. Not sure about the negative reviews on purchases from here couldn’t have had a better experience. It’s very obvious from the environment and inventory on the lot they care about what they do and your experience there.

They have nice looking cars atleast online. We were looking at a van for my wife. We are 150 miles away. Rose was nice enough to send me extra photos of the van. But when it came to numbers. The price went up over 2000 dollars. All fees I will not pay 495 dollar transport fee when the van was local to the dealer. I also will not pay the crazy high 895 dollars for the possessing fee. Most dealers charge between 199 and 250 bucks for this. They also wanted a 38 dollar biz license fee and a 40 dollar mailing fee among other junk fees. I am sorry it doesn’t take 40 dollars to mail the title and paperwork. And I am sure as heck not paying for your license to operate. They may have great cars that are priced reasonably well but the fees kill the deal. I will take my money elsewhere.

Came in from out of town (2 1/2hrs) to purchase a new vehicle. Communication was always very prompt & transparent weeks before we came down due to some weather issues. Super easy & quick process, and very nice and professional people. Drove back home w/ no issues and haven’t had any since! If we need cars in the future this will be our first spot to check out. Would recommend.

This is a fair and honest review. On 11-4-25 I went to JDM Auto to view a 2011 Lincoln town car, 2LNBL8CV6BX753554, listed at $11,495. With only 92k miles, the photos of this car looked amazing, including their YouTube video. With their mission regarding customer satisfaction on mechanical quality of each vehicle they sell, I trusted the photos and their word during our phone call. When I first saw the vehicle in person, it initially looked great. However, once I got close, I realized this car has certainly been repainted, and not well. I am not implying that JDM auto did this, it looked like an old repair. Regardless, on both rear doors, where the chrome trim meets the door panel, the paint was bubbling. Leading me to believe there is rust on the door. (see picture) Rust was something I asked about on the phone. Also, on the top of the rear passenger door, there was heavy paint overspray. In fact, I found it in numerous locations once I looked harder. It is not hard to spot this, just look at the car. Clearly, whoever detailed the exterior did not notice or care. If you cared you would include photos of such in the listing or mention it in the description. Now let’s move on to the interior. The passenger side carpet is soaked. I can look past this as this is a common failure in all Lincoln town cars, the factory seal fails and allows water in from rain or washing. But I also noted that the rear driver side window does not function. The driver side door lock button does not work, yet, unlock does work. Most likely a faulty driver side door module. The negatives aside, the car drove and rode just fine. And yes, I understand this is an old car. Old cars will have their damages they may not be perfect. But that should be reflected in the price. I can understand that some of these issues may not be caught by dealers but by someone like me who is shopping for this model of car. When I brought up to Jasper that the Kelley Blue Book value of this car in “good” not “fair “condition at this model year and mileage, would be $9,400, he preceded to talk bad about the KBB. Which I can understand to an extent because this model of car is no longer made. To support this, I was fully ready to buy the car outright had it not had these issues. They know I drove from PA. That is a serious buyer. I believe when any salesperson speaks poorly of another company is just trying to persuade you and hide from something. He could have easily said well they do not make this car anymore and its been in high demand, they are bullet proof. When I tried to negotiate on the price the first offer was $250 off for the wet floor, inoperable window and door lock. In the end, I did get them to take $500 off but I decided to walk away. If this car was 8k or 9k I might have bought it. But why this car was repainted, and poorly at that, concerned me as to what it was hiding. If all you need is a mechanically sound car, this might be the dealer for you. If you want a dealer that runs their cars through a fine-tooth comb, then this dealer is not for you. *update* 12-2-25 almost a month after my initial review. Car is still listed. Same price too! So much for a good price and demand! What ever happened to that customer that left a “deposit” on the car immediately after I viewed it? I’m beyond glad i did not make that mistake. And it just makes me happy to see this car has yet to leave your dealer.
