I took my 2002 Nissan truck into Jerry’s as a referral from my brother who also had work done there. I needed a new fan clutch and thermostat. They did a great job and were very thorough to make sure truck no longer overheated. They gave me an estimate for another problem I was having and plan to get that done as well. I was satisfied with their communication and timely manner to get truck fixed.

A few months ago, My air conditioning went out and I brought my truck to a few different places to get prices. After deciding that Jerry’s was the most economical, I soon found out they were the most trustworthy as well. I called eight days prior to get my truck looked at. The owner son Talk to me, I had took my truck and a couple other family vehicles there before. Anyway, he said just bring it in next Thursday. I showed up today. with no appointment scheduled it was just a bullshit phone call blah blah blah bring it in whatever. With another customer, they are complaining about his exhaust falling off his car after they put it on and he was traveling so he had to have it fixed on the road. But anyway, the owner son looked at me and said if you would like to bring it back next Wednesday we can look at it. I walked out.

Note: Jerry's sends a link to customers asking about their service. At least in my profession, those "email your patient" services filter out the bad reviews and post only the good ones to Google. Buyer beware. The Jerry's shop was OK; not great. I went for AC diagnostics. When I arrived I was told about the $150 service charge -- which I hadn't been advised of when I made my phone appointment to drop off the car (which was a few days after I called -- they are a busy shop). But $150 is fair. It was a little more that $150 after "shop supplies." They didn't advise me on the time to get back in touch but I was chill. About 30 hours later they called with the bad news: $2200 estimate. The car ain't worth it. When I picked up the car, the real quote was north of $2400, so if I had said OK, that would have been sticker shock.

Jerry's gave me great service as long as I lived in Gainesville. They came recommended when I was having brake problems. They did the job for about half of what the dealership across the street was going to charge. The one time I had issues with a repair they did, Jerry provided follow up work free of charge. If you are looking for a straight shooting mechanic, it's hard to do better than Jerry's.

Why would that be? 😮 Maybe because the name Rob Ronin is only part of my full name. Or it could be that I'm an appointed legal advocate. Or simply because I'm under a pseudonym in public forums after a very long and not always pleasant career overseas in the military. Or maybe it's all of the above and I have several reasons to keep information obscure. Intelligence gathering always starts in the most mundane places and the first bit of info usually leads to more. Either way my name is in the records with Silver rock The Spin-off warranty company of Drive time (you know....the huge building across the street from your front door) that contacted you with our case has both my name, my pseudonym and the name of the person I am advocating for. And to be clear the problem is persisting. This vehicle is going through 0W20 at an alarming rate yet there is no sign whatsoever of the oil burning off, there are no puddles or signs of leak anywhere on the frame, underbody or drivetrain, and according to 3 different meters the bad CPS that your people replaced is operating well withim established manufacturer standards. Running the comp in diagnostic raises way more questions than answers, most of them which would apply to Drivetime's service department, not yours. From what I have stated here, a clever person would be able to utilize the resources available and know which case this is. But I am not blurting it out where rock writers of questionable motives and former desert occupants with open hatred of people like me can access it.

I heard these guys were good so I gave em a shot. im not disappointed. my A/C is blowing so cold after they repaired it. Vinny kept in touch with me several times to let me know the status of my repair. he also worked with me on other items that they found bad during my service. I normally do all my own work but my wrist is hurt. I dont trust anyone to work on my vehicle. but I would come back to this shop again 100%. thanks jerrys auto...

I took my truck here for new ac compressor. After they did dionostic they called and said i need a new compressor and that the job before tax would be $1300. I asked for a copy of invoice to see the itemized charges, come to find out the a/c Delco compressor was $400. I didn't get how there was over $1000 in labor, but i thought that was way too much. When i go to pick up my truck to take it somewhere else, they charged me over $200 for dionostic, which by the way is not on the invoice they emailed me. Ive been to a lot of reputable shops in 43 yrs and never have i been charged for diagnostic, especially when i told them what i wanted done. After i took my truck to get the compressor fix i was told my coolant reserve cap was destroyed. In 3 yrs the only work i had done on my truck was oil change. The only folks dealing with my ac unit was Jerry's. The staff was entitled and had an attitude because i decided to not get the work done there, this is where the $200 dionostic changes that weren't on invoice came about. Just felt scammed with these folks.

I took it across the street to Jerry's for a second opinion, and they diagnosed the real issue immediately. They fixed the leak in 30 minutes for only $150. In February 2026, I called to get a quote for new tailgate lifts for my Subaru Outback because my old lifts had stopped holding up my hatch. It would crash down which was an extreme danger. Jerry provided a very fair price and ordered the parts promptly after I agreed to his quote. The work could have been done within 24 hours but I went 3 days later to get the new lifts installed which took only about 35 minutes with no waiting time from the time of my arrival. Vinny was there as well as Denise at the front desk; both were very professional and courteous. The waiting room was clean and had a lovely setup of Keurig coffee, chips, and sweets for customers to enjoy. I'm happy with the facility, work, and price. Just be sure to have cash to pay with because otherwise, there is a 3% credit card and debit card fee.
