I discovered Jims through a friend many years ago after getting ripped off (again) at an auto service franchise. Over the years the folks at Jims have consistently performed excellent service on our vehicles at a price that is usually below the competitors. How can they do that? My guess is that it takes a lot less time to make repairs when you know what you’re doing and have fully trained staff. These guys are great and I would recommend them for any type of auto repair.

Jims Service is the absolute best. Jim, Linda and the rest of the Jims Service family are top notch. I will not take any of my vehicles any where else. Jim walks me through any repairs necessary with a full explanation before the work is performed. He even takes me home and picks me up while the work is being done!! Jim has actually become a friend, not just an acquaintance. It is now 2 yrs since my original posting. I went to Jim this morning with an issue on my wifes car, He and his team worked on the car past closing time, called me and said the car was ready! What an awesome group of people, Friday night, 20 degree weather, and they all stayed and got my wife "on the road again" I am so grateful for the crew at Jim's Service.

Jim's Service Center was a life saver! I recently brought in my 2006 Buick Rendezvous when it suddenly quit running. They quickly diagnosed the problem and gave me several options to fix not only this issue but a few other issues that, had they not been addressed, could have caused problems down the line. They even took the time to help me prioritize what should be taken care of first according to my budget. What really stuck out to me about this shop was their high regard for customer service and professionalism. I would DEFINITELY recommend Jim's Service Center to anyone looking for a good, honest place to take your vehicle!

I was there today 12/5/2019 with my Infiniti because it had electrical issues. Jim and his team not only diagnosed the problem, they fixed it and had me out of there in no time. I can't forget to mention how professional and kind him and his wife and staff are. Treated me and my little son like family. Very good people, loved my experience there and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place!!!

My father is a mechanic and my two brothers are mechanics. Unfortunately, they're not close enough to service my car - so Jim has been my mechanic since I moved to the Rochester area - over 20 years ago. I wouldn't trust my car to anyone else - and coming from a family of mechanics, that means something. Jim has worked with me over the years to maintain each of my cars, since the years when I was a struggling single mom. He explains what he's doing and why, and he offers options. I wouldn't trust anyone else to take care of my car.

I literally stayed across the street for an entire year and never once reached out to them reading some of the reviews and seeing some interactions . Going in there probably saved both mine and my children's lives I went in only for a flat tire and came out well informed of what was wrong with my car and what needed to be done . He told me he was morally obligated to tell me what he saw under the car and that means more then the world to me. I so very much appreciate their service and I think they're amazing people with fast and reliable customer service.

I brought my, new to me, car to have Jim run a diagnosis to see what was exactly wrong with my car, which the dealership wouldnt tell me. Jim took the time to explain everything to me, and made sure I understood what he was saying. He also led me down the right path of filing paperwork with the DMV because of how the dealer I purchased the car from was liable. He also completed an oil change on my car which was the shortest time I have ever waited for an oil change. I could not recommend Jim's service center enough! Everyone is so kind there and they treat you like family!!

I have had great service at Jims. Hands down they fix it right the first time - every time. I don't have to keep going back, He fixes the car right and without charging a lot either. They also took care of me when I hit a deer last year and matched the paint on my Cadillac perfect (Black) which we all know is hard to do. Black shows everything. Service is great and the staff knows exactly how to take care of you. I worked on cars for many years, granted I don't know the new technology, But at Jims they know it very well. If your looking for a great mechanic, Jim is your man.

I have been bringing my vehicles to Jim's for approximately 10yrs. I was referred by another customer. I have had nothing but great service . Jim and his staff are excellent seasoned mechanics and all repairs have been excellent . He has given me great advice that has always been in my best interest, but also respects my choices . He gives repair choices and options in consideration of my financial limits at the time . He has only been absolutley firm on a repair need if it has to do with safety or required by law. He literally shows me what needs to be repaired, shows me the new part I purchase, shows me the old damaged part removed ( sometimes even if I'm not interested). He is very accommodating to my schedule . I have watched him interact with a variety of customers and he works well with all customers. He and his staff are especially respectful of women . I have been a vehicle owner for 35yrs, been to several different repair shops , and know what great service and quality car repairs are .

Owner is hands on, will show you what needs to be fixed before he touches your car, and prices are reasonable. Not one of those shops where you go in for one thing and they try to get you to fix several other things that are not needed. Everyone seems to be happy working there which really shows in the customer care that you receive. I give this shop an outstanding high five. Also they will take you back home, work while they fix your car and pick you up when it's finished! I definitely recommend this shop!!!

I’ve been coming to Jim’s for years and have never left dissatisfied with his services. He always keeps you well informed of what he’s doing, performs all important safety checks and alerts you of possible issues that need attention, he will search far and wide to find parts at a decent price, his team is very friendly and completes the work quickly and I never have issues after I drive away that requires me to return anytime soon. It gets better; there’s a cozy waiting area with refreshments should you choose to wait on your vehicle or there is a shuttle service if you need to tend to other errands. Thank you Jim and the team for consistently being awesome at what you do and your team’s excellent customer service.

Absolutely outstanding quality of work and communication. They did a fantastic job on my 2004 F250 with the front-end alignment. I brought it to them on the pretext that I had installed new front suspension components and needed an alignment. They went above and beyond to properly diagnose my front solid axle being out of alignment in the right front. This was on the ball, as I had been involved in a front-end collision a few weeks prior, which was primarily in the right front. They were equipped to handle the job with ease, which involved using a frame puller to move everything back into place (and some new hardware). They did a great job at a fair price and clearly have strong integrity with their work. I highly recommend this place for any medium to heavy duty truck suspension needs. The truck drives straight and true now!

I brought my dually pick up truck in to just have the wheels/tires balanced. Their whole team went above and beyond to do more than just what I asked. They showed me multiple parts of my truck to look out for in possible future failures, showed me the ball joints, tie-rods and multiple other parts of the truck while performing an inspection on everything to be sure the truck was safe for the amount of driving I do. I could not be more happy with their performance and how well they took care of my truck every step of the way. Their attentional to detail and customer service is beyond excellent. I recommend them 110% of the time!!

I've had my car for two and a half years now. I bought it used and have always had a problem with issues around my engine overheating. Every place I had taken it to either didn't know what was wrong, or told me it was a small issue and replaced some random part, never really fixing it and just prolonging the underlying issue. Eventually, my car wouldn't accelerate and barely worked. I called Jim's service center and promptly got me an appointment. He took the symptoms I had told him about and carefully inspected each part, to properly diagnose the issue. He went through great lengths to explain everything that was wrong with it, as well as the events that took place for my car to get to the shape it was in. He even taught me how the parts that needed replacing work. The price was amazing for the amount of work that needed to be done to get it up and running again. The car now runs better than ever before. When I had lost all hope on the car, he stepped up and worked a miracle. Jim and his crew are by far the best in the business, and I couldn't be happier. I'm definitely going to him for any and all car maintenance, because I know they will get it done right, and get it done fast.
