JN Smog has been in business since 1999. I've owned my geriatric pickup truck for 24 years now and I've had JN do every smog check since it started needing them. I usually call, set up an appointment (usually available within an hour or two), and then head on down. I'm always in and out of there rather quickly too. Oh... look for their coupons. I find them in that coupon pack that comes in the mail but I'm pretty sure they have them on their website too.

This smog shop isn't very competent when it comes to older federal vehicles with a CARB certified catalytic converter replacement. My friend went to this shop, and they labeled it as tampered for the smog, despite the catalytic converter being the correct model for the CARB EO and the Engine Family. This caused my friend to have to go to the state ref center, where the vehicle easily passed. Honestly sad that you guys charged my buddy as much as you did to fail them for a perfectly legal vehicle. I won't be recommending this shop to any of my friends or family to hopefully spare them the hassle of ever having to deal with a state ref due to JN Smog's incompetence.

I came here for a smog check and the tech failed me, there was nothing wrong with the car. I tried to show this technician the CARB EO that proved my car was legal and he refused to read the EO. I had to go see a state referee to correct the techs false claim that my cars cat was not legal. This shop made what should have been a quick and simple smog check into a stressful and 2 week long drawn out process to see a ref. I can not recommend this shop at all

Recommended by my transmission shop. Had a light on, on my dash (Not the check engine light) that I was concerned about. He offered to hook up his equipment and take a look at it before the smog and told me it would be no problem. Passed the smog test. In and out in 15 minutes.

The owner quickly completed my smog test and honored his coupon price unlike his competitor to the east of his location. I had a second vehicle that needed smog as well and I returned the following day. The owner said he would honor his coupon price on that vehicle as well. Price and service it the best in the area. The owner is a very pleasant person and honors his word. He charged the full price for the smog service but when I told him that I found him online, which I did, he honored the coupon advertised and refunded me the difference, without hesitation. That’s integrity and I strongly recommend him for smog certification and for doing business. Honest auto mechanics who do not gouge customers are hard to find, unfortunately.
