We visited John Lee Mazda for the first time this past Saturday and was very pleased with the customer service by Benjamin. He wasn’t pushy and very understanding of what we wanted and needed. We took a test drive in a 2019 Lincoln Navigator and although my husband didn’t expect too, he fell in love with it as did I and one of our kiddos. Unfortunately, we would’ve loved an even trade but cards didn’t play out as we hoped! We appreciate Benjamin’s kindness overall and definitely if anything changes on our end or theirs to do business, we definitely will do so!

****Edit #4**** The car is a POS!!!!!! Now the hybrid battery is out. I’ll never purchase a car from them ever and I will NEVER recommend ANYONE to them. This is a nightmare!!! ***EDIT #3*** Check engine light came on and they asked us did we know that the codes had been cleared. Obviously we didn’t. Buyers beware!!!! I would not recommend buying from John Lee Mazda. I’m going to make sure I review them on all social platforms and anywhere I can. If I could go back, we would NOT BUY FROM JOHN LEE NISSAN!!! Also, this was our daughter’s 1st car she was purchasing on her own and it has turned into a money pit. Shame on yall!!! Do not buy from them!!!! **EDIT # 2***. I’m revising my stars AGAIN. So the fluid that was supposed to be topped off was the coolant for the EV hybrid battery and we did not check after he told us they filled it , I should have but didn’t. We purchased the car Wednesday 1/27 and today Friday 1/30, my husband wanted to look over the car because just our daughter and myself went to purchase the car. He lifted the hood and the coolant reservoir was bone dry. So either they didn’t fill it after I mentioned it or it has a major leak that you would think would have been caught if they truly “serviced” it. We filled it up and now waiting to see if it’s a leak or they just didn’t actually service the car. The other coolant wasn’t topped off and also the wiper fluid is bone dry. Car fax said they serviced but I’m starting to think maybe I shouldn’t believe that. ***EDIT**** Sales guy and manager reached out to me and I greatly appreciated that. I’m updating to a 4 Star for them taking the time to reach out. The vehicle is fine, just had an odd experience with the sales guy. Purchased a car today. The manager MIGHT want to have like a sales training session because we were told today that the reason a fluid was under the “minimum” line was because it’s “probably not important “. Also note that we were told the car “just came out of getting serviced”. Ummmmm isn’t all fluids under the hood important? I know I’m a girl but I’m not that stupid. I probably should have walked away but I’m praying we have good luck. I told him I wanted the fluid topped off and then also, when you purchase from them, what happened to getting the car filled up with gas? I’m sure nothing will be said as they have already got our money so it is what it is but maybe I’ll help someone else out.

We bought a vehicle in Oct and the experience was pleasant. So we returned for another vehicle recently. We were approved after applying online and brought paperwork that was requested of us. The dealership said they couldn’t honor the rate in the 5%. The rate was a “mistake” and they also said they submitted our docs to the bank and that they couldn’t approve our docs, “paystubs, bank statements, income verifications”.. key thing though I’ve been a consumer underwriter for vehicles and home loans and am currently a credit analyst. Our daughter needed the subject car so we ended up taking their 8.5% rate, just to get the car and we will now turn around and refinance it. But the kicker is.. I called the bank that offered us the approval and was told; 1) the rate was a going offer and correct and 2) to use a different dealer, because our docs were never submitted for review. The kick back from the other bank must have been worth it to not go through the process and get us the deal we were offered for financing. So they gained two vehicle transactions from us, but have lost our trust from the most recent transaction. We will not return for a future purchase without a bank draft, if we return at all.

Very disappointed with my experience in the service department. I called ahead about an issue with my car and was told to stop by. When I arrived, I was informed that I needed an appointment, which is fine, but that’s why I called in the first place. I scheduled the appointment and returned, only to find it was under the wrong name, which created unnecessary hassle. To be fair, the gentleman who directed me where to go when I pulled in was kind and helpful. However, as I walked through the sales floor to the waiting area, no one greeted or acknowledged me. The staff were at a distance and talking among themselves, but it still felt odd and unwelcoming. I specifically asked them to look at the issue and let me know whether the service was actually needed before completing anything. Instead, I was later called up from the waiting area and told the work had already been completed. That’s when they informed me of the price I owed. I was surprised by the amount, and the service advisor said, “It’s the price you and I discussed.” We never discussed anything. He didn’t even enter my name correctly in the system. I’m currently in the market for a new car, but I will not be purchasing from here. I also won’t be returning for service. I’ll gladly drive elsewhere. Customer service, communication, and transparency need serious improvement.
