Took my car in because, tire had slow leak and they quickly put a plug in it and gave me a very reasonable price on four new tires when the car was ready. Six months later I brought the car back needing to fix same tire they had plugged. However they told me it had a bubble now and was not repairable and I needed four new tires at a completely outrageous price. Removed car as fast as possible and took to Tires Plus who was happy to take care of my needs. Never doing business with this company again.

Dropped my vehicle off for the day to have it aligned. Sorta inconvenient that they don’t schedule appointments because this type of work should only take about an hour. Asked for a printout of specs when the job was completed and was told they don’t provide that. After driving the vehicle for a day or so I noticed it was pulling to the right consistently. I have 4 new tires on it and the front end has been completely rebuilt. It should not pull to the side like it does. I’m sure they will correct the problem as they have been very polite and professional at the front counter, just not sure what’s going on in the shop to make this sorta mistake or preform shoddy work like they did. 3 stars for the headache is my honest review.

Just so you all are aware, this is how they're driving your cars behind the neighborhood market to test them. I understand a test drive may be necessary, but actually doing donuts and sliding them around is not. I personally witnessed them doing it and going back to the store. I definitely wouldn't let them touch my car. Just my .02

If I could give this business less than a single star I would. This rating is as a result of very unprofessional customer service at the service desk by the service desk personnel. When I walked in to inquire about some tire purchases he engaged me with a off putting attitude that was offensive and disrespectful, yet I engaged him with a courteous and polite exchange, however, nothing I said or did seemed to soften his demeanor towards me. I felt as though he was annoyed by my presence at first encounter and that the few questions I asked were a burden on him. I respectfully ended our interaction and left wondering why he was working the front desk, because if he treated everyone that comes in like that there would be no business. So I concluded as a reason for his behavior was he just didn’t like my looks. So sad to treat people with such contempt. 7-10-2025 Well, I’m delighted to share this second review. After publishing my original review I was contacted by Rick, who Manages the location I had reviewed. Rick was warm, friendly and genuinely concerned about the situation and considerate and understanding of my position. He respectfully apologized and offered to make the situation right if I would give that location a second chance. I accepted his offer, though somewhat apprehensively, and to my surprise he pulled off a service that far exceeded my expectations. Thanks to his sincere efforts I have new tires and Kansasland has a very happy customer who intends on utilizing them for future services. Thank you Rick.

I’ve been looking for a new mechanic and this Kansasland fits the bill! Rick at this location really helped me out. I was out of town for my daughter’s spine surgery and had a friend drop off my truck which had multiple issues. I was so involved in taking care of my daughter that I forgot to get an estimate from him. I had several estimates from other shops so I knew around what it should cost. Thankfully Rick fully took care of me. Very reasonable price and they did great work! I know where I’ll be taking my truck in the future.

**Edited. Original issue at bottom. Immediately after this complaint, the following Monday at 8a Rick called me. I wasn’t able to call back until Wednesday, but he persistently tried to get in touch to resolve the issue. By Thursday I was able to come in after work and got a brand new tire no extra cost, driving home within 30 mins. This was all I needed to ease my anxiety, and appreciated the service. Original issue: I’ve hired both the West Maize and the 21st & Amidon Kansasland mechanics over the years and just feel like it’s not worth the distrust. The 21st & Amidon location installed a full new set of tires on my vehicle within the last year and I bought the tire protection plan along with them. One of the tires had something another mechanic described as “something I’d never seen before” which you never want to hear - strips of plastic that were melded into the sidewall of the tire that when pulled out left gashes in the rubber as pictured. This seemed like a manufacturer’s defect that shouldn’t be on Kansasland or me, but when I went in asking to see if this tire could be replaced under the protection plan I was told it was not a concern. They replaced the valve core for free, which if it was an issue I appreciate, but seemed very dismissive about the cracks. I don’t know if it’s a deep safety concern, but I didn’t want to have to feel doubtful of what has been basically a brand new tire.

5 Stars goes out to Kansas Land Tire and Service for their awesome customer service. I initially called in and inquired about a tire replacement as I was on a time crunch. Jericho went out of his way to have the tire available and also brought to my attention that my inner and outer tie rods needed to be replaced and bright me into the garage and broke everything down to me in laments terms. Kansas Land at 21st and Amidon will be my go to for all my vehicles now and in the future. Thank You Jericho!

I recently visited for advice and guidance regarding an issue with my trailer tire. I spoke with Jack Lollar, who was extremely knowledgeable and took the time to clearly explain the cause of my problem and what steps I needed to take. Not only was Jack very helpful, but he also provided excellent service for both me and my tire. The atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable, and I appreciated the offer of coffee as well. I looked this store up online on Black Friday to address significant front vibration and pulling issues on my 2018 GMC Acadia. It was a busy place, but manager Rick Stephenson assured me that his team would get to it before the end of the day. Needless to say the diagnosis was not good, I needed suspension repairs front and rear, and new tires (not a surprise). He gave me a quote and, without much choice since I needed the car, I gave him the go ahead to fix it the next morning. I also had a good feeling because Rick came across as a straight shooter with no sales song and dance. The work was done on Saturday morning as expected. The total bill came in significantly less than the quote, and the car drove vastly better on the ride back to Texas. I have since researched the repair work and tire prices online and am comfortable I received very fair treatment. I have no trouble recommending this Kansasland store and Stephenson.

Rick, the manager, runs an incredible shop, and his crew is nothing short of outstanding. Friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely committed to taking care of their customers. I had four new tires installed along with new tire sensors and an alignment; the work was flawless. The quality, speed, and professionalism were all top-tier—and the price? Completely unbeatable. You get dealership-level quality without the dealership markup. It’s rare to find a place where customer service, craftsmanship, and value all hit a home run, but this team absolutely crushed it. Went in for a brake change. So far my car is functioning fine the only thing that bothered me was how unsanitary the inside of the business is. The waiting room is filthy, chairs probably aren't sanitized with wipes, floor rug looks like it hasn't been vacuumed in forever, ceiling has major rain damage. That was merely the waiting room. The restrooms are worse. In the restroom the urinal smells and looks like it hasn't been flushed/cleaned in years. The toilet is the same. Feces stuck on the sides of the bowl. The sink is just as bad with the to the point I couldn't even wash my hands luckily I carry my own personal hand sanitizer. I brought it up with who I believe was the manager. He said he'd get on it and get things cleaned, and fixed although that remained to be seen. I have photos of how disgusting the establishment was at the time of me visiting to upload if conditions don't improve.
