We came in to look at a used Toyota Highlander, we test drove it and heard a noise. They inspected it and found that the transmission was bad. They let us know and didn’t try to hide anything. I feel like you could trust them to get you in a good vehicle. Or as good as they can as used vehicles always carry a risk.

We just bought a Toyota highlander from here and it was a good experience. The waiting room was comfortable and accommodating to all of our snacking needs. The play room was helpful with the kids. I feel like we got a fair deal, but not a steal. What we pay for going to a dealer is the assurance that our vehicle won't be a lemon and that is worth it to not buy private. I took off a star because half way through the buying process our salesman Nate seemed uninterested in working with us and wanted to move on. Which was a night and day difference from when he walked up to us initially. It showed me that it was all an act to get us to buy. I don't like buying cars and that is why, but overall, it was a good process.

I did not feel heard here. The receptionist did not know what she was doing when I was trying to schedule an appointment under warranty. All she could do was say they could charge me for a $160 diagnosis test. I knew what the problem was on the car (loose screw), and I just wanted a service advisor to talk to. She said they would call me back. They never did. Go to Stockton 12 Honda in Sandy instead. They got my problem fixed free of charge.

My wife and I took our time selecting a vehicle and after 2 months of looking we made a deal at Honda Orem. When we narrowed it down, we had went to both Stockton 12 and the Downtown Honda but were left frustrated with the game playing at the dealership. We weren't asking for a crazy amount off the deal and were given an ultimatum to make a deal "same day" to get what we wanted. Like I said, plenty of people are asking for 2500 more off than we were and we were treated like we were speaking a different language. After driving all over and wasting hours of our time, I called Orem and told them I'd like to come buy a car and not spend a bunch of time negotiating or sitting at the dealership. They listened and agreed to what we were asking for. They informed us they've also heard nothing but poor things from the Stockton 12 location. Deal was made over the phone, paperwork and pickup were fast and the staff there were super nice.

Knowledgeable salesman who answered questions without applying pressure to buy. Folks were kind and helpful in the office and finance departments too. I haven’t owned a Honda before; I hope longevity makes it worth the cost. No incentives offered, especially compared to competitors.

I give this review purely because of Tre. After speaking on the phone with multiple people and being told I can go to any Ken Garff if there were issues after buying a car, he actually made customer service a priority. I had to drive an hour one-way at 7am twice based on whoever I spoke to on the phone before Tre stepped in. He understood my concerns after making a commitment like this and helped me immediately with options to get serviced.

We recently bought a Tesla here, and Mark Walker took great care of us both during the buying process and follow up. The 12 volt battery went out about a week after buying the car, and because we had bought the car CPO they agreed to cover the cost of the replacement even though we had it done through Tesla. We really appreciated the communication and customer service we received here!

I brought my 2022 VW Taos to Ken Garff for a routine oil change. About two weeks later, the check engine light came on. After scanning it, the vehicle showed a P0491 (secondary air injection system – insufficient flow) code — an issue in an area that is accessed when the engine cover is removed during service. When I contacted the dealership to ask them to take a look since the issue appeared shortly after their service, they immediately refused responsibility and told me I would need to pay $198 just for a diagnosis, despite the fact that the problem appeared right after my visit. They dismissed any possibility that something could have been disturbed during the oil change and hid behind the vehicle being out of warranty. I wasn’t asking for free repairs — I was asking for accountability and a basic inspection after a service that may have caused the issue. Instead, I was met with deflection and zero willingness to help. Very disappointing experience. An oil change should not result in a check engine light and a potential expensive repair, especially when the dealership refuses to even look at it without charging. This feels like poor customer service and a lack of integrity. I won’t be returning.

Service: Been coming to Ken Garff Honda for services for years and Joe has been the best support. He is transparent, honest and kind as he helps me with my 2018 Honda Accord Sales: We have been looking for a car for my daughter. Joe introduced me to Josh who was absolutely great! The process was simple, quick and transparent. Highly recommend Josh if you are in the market for new or used car.

Three visits, three separate issues. I’ve now had multiple service experiences at this location involving recall work and maintenance, and each visit had some form of communication or follow-through problem. Delays, missed follow-ups, and inconsistent information made what should have been straightforward appointments more time-consuming than expected. Most recently, I had to return to address a vehicle calibration issue after service. While the technician ultimately resolved it, the process involved unnecessary back-and-forth and could have been handled more efficiently with clearer internal communication. I want to be fair: the vehicle itself is now operating correctly and the technician’s work was solid. However, the overall service experience across multiple visits has been inconsistent. I hope the dealership can improve communication, coordination, and follow-through so future customers have a smoother experience.

Its hard to write a review about a dealership as most people are here because its time to buy a car usually because their old car finally gave up the ghost. The other reason is for service, which again most people don't love spending money on that sort of thing. I have been to this specific dealership many times and each time is the same experience. That is a compliment. I have purchased a vehicle here, I have had my vehicle serviced here many times and each time is the same. I get the same quality service every time I show up. When we bought our pilot in 16, the salesman was young, respectful and I feel I got the best deal I could probably get on a used honda. When I bring my 09 accord in every time I get the same treatment. They do the oil change, rotate the tires and inform me I need more service, but I usually do the more complicated stuff at home on my own. Its cheaper. But when I tell them no, they are not pushy for other services, or make me feel bad for not doing it. Their drinking fountain is always working, popcorn tastes fresh, and the TV room usually is quiet with a game on. It really is the best place to bring your honda for service. Make an appt, or you could wait longer. Great team there, always informative and always trying to make a part of your life a little easier.

Would not recommend as we have had multiple problems with our used car after we were assured everything was working properly. They never gave us a detailed inspection report of what they checked when we purchased the car. Now we’ve had 3 major issues in 8 months of owning the car. Quite disappointed for a well known Utah company.

Overall the salesman were wonderful, they were kind and respectful and helped my wife get in a vehicle. I did notice some basic issue with the way the windows told up on an our drive home. So I contacted the salesman who helped us asking for it to be looked at. He said they would repair it, no problem. I even asked if I would be responsible for the cost, to which he said no. They did the basic amount to make the windows told go up and down but told me it needed a new part and they were “not willing to put more money into the car”. Now when I called it was within the 72 hours I had to legally return the car, of course the basic repair was scheduled after that. Which is why I clarified with my salesman that they would fix it. I’m not sure I would return for a purchase or refer someone. Overall pretty disappointed.

2 experiences 10+ years apart, same frustrations. 10+years ago we bought a brand new van. Long story short, I ended up canceling the warranty early because of how frustrating it was to deal with their service department. Fast forward to a week ago. Same poop, different diaper. The same things happened both times, years apart. They fail to fully explain things, they pass blame (it’s always someone else’s fault), and ALMOST everyone fails to take ownership of the situation. The exception is a lady in accounting helped me figure out where KG Honda Orem dropped the ball, which still didn’t solve the problem. I foolishly thought that 10+ years might have brought about some change, but I was mistaken. Perhaps it is the work culture there that perpetuates finger pointing, not taking ownership of problems, and finding solutions. In the next 10 years I estimate that we will need to replace both mine and my wife’s vehicles as well as getting a car in the next 6 months for one of kids for college, but KG won’t see any of our business. I’m willing to give businesses a second chance, but I generally write them off as a bad job after a second bad experience, especially if it is very similar to the first experience. I originally wasn’t going to write this review, but I got a text from KG asking me to leave a review. Here it is, as requested. I’m guessing this review isn’t what KG was expecting. Well, neither were both of my car buying experiences with KG what I expected.

My husband and I went in to test drive a vehicle on a Friday evening. We loved it and wanted a slightly different build but they didn’t have it. Our salesman, Mitchell, overall relentlessly, looking around the state, to find what we wanted. He drove the next morning to pick up the vehicle texting with us all the updates. Once the vehicle was in Orem we went in and started with the sale. Mitchell worked with us to make sure we got a great price, and then helped us all along the way to make sure we understood the paperwork. Overall, we never felt pressured to buy. We felt heard and felt like we had plenty of space to make informed decisions.

I do wish there was a 2.5 star option but unfortunately there is not. I would like to start with if this was just about our finance guy Evan it would be 5 star! But this is overall. Overall to brake it down I paid $20,000 for a used 2018 100k mile car that Ken Garff said went threw the “inspection process” and was in great shape, to be sent out the door with a car that has 4 worn out tires on the wear bars, was told they would air the tires up for me, they did not, also when I went to leave immediately seen they did not air tires had to just about beg the jerk of a lot, wash bay kid to air them, discovered the RR tire had barely 20Lb in it and has a slow flat that wouldn’t ya know it turned to a fast leak within 30 minutes, leaving me to change to a spare in the dark on the side of the highway at 30 degrees to go to a 1/2 flat spare tire. Not a happy camper! Of course this is after I asked multiple times for them to check tires as well!! I specified I have a 2hr drive home. And then to top it off notice the rear brakes are bad on the way home and have warped rotors. I call them back the next business day and told them, and they responded with ya we know, if you bring it back maybe we can machine them but probably not so “ your on your own “. Being that it was dark out when purchasing i couldn’t see the tread life well and was assured they were inspected and in good shape and unfortunately I trusted Ken garf to not BS me. I understand the vehicle was a good price but what’s another at most $1000 to replace rear brake rotors and pads and put on some new tires, heck even just a decent basic cheapie tire so your not sending someone home two hours in winter on worn out flat summer tires. And the way they treated me day after about the problems, leads me to the conclusion that this is likely the last I do business with at least this dealership.

I brought my van in because the left door stopped sliding open or closed. I had to leave my van overnight for them to fix the issue. The next day I got a text detailing all the issues they found with the van. These items said "recommended."The sliding door was not on the list. I received a text an hour or so later telling me the van was ready to be picked up. At no point did I receive any phone calls or other communication besides the texts. My husband had to take time off of work so we could drive 30 minutes to the dealership. When I got there I was told the van door had not been fixed because it had been deferred. The woman who had texted me was not the person assigned to my van, but had "wanted to help out and get some of the vehicles through." The man assigned to the van had a family emergency and had to leave, so he was not there to talk to. When I mentioned to the woman who had texted me that it was a huge waste of my time she said "ok" in an annoyed tone. I left without my van again and drove the 30 minutes home. This wasted an hour of my day. My husband missed an hour of work because of this incompetence. The only reason I was there was to get the door fixed! That's why I brought it to you! Not so you could tell me what was wrong with it and send me on my way. I already knew it was broken! I will not be back that's for sure.

Went in to get lugnuts changed out. I was told that the lugnuts were after market and they did not have a master key for them (after the service was done and the rims were damaged and only after I brought up that the rims were damaged.) I was not consulted beforehand which could have avoided the damage all together. I was also not advised of the damage after the service so they knowingly damaged my vehicle and then neglected to inform me. Had I not inspected it afterwards myself it would have never of been brought up.
