We bought our car from Orem Mazda a few months ago and the buying process went great. 5 Stars for the Salesmen there. However, today I called to make an appointment to get my flat tire fixed because they offer "Tires for Life" and Katie Speer was very disrespectful on the phone to me. She said they couldn't get me in today and wasn't sure their availability tomorrow. She told me that the reason Discount Tire and other places can get me in right away is because "they suck". I am disappointed in the lack of service for a returning customer and also for the impoliteness Katie showed towards me on the phone today.

I took my car into Orem Mazda for an oil change and spark plug replacement. They did a great job on those. I also asked them to look into a problem I was having with the infotainment system. It was constantly rebooting. The service tech told me that perhaps a software update ($80) would fix the problem (he said that there were no guarantees). I paid the $80 on top of my other bill and they (I assume) updated the software. They said that if this did not fix the problem that I would have to replace the system ($1000+). It did not fix the problem. The constant rebooting became so bad that we could not use the system for calls or the radio as it was constantly rebooting. My wife was so frustrated with the problem that she told me to sell the CX-5! Enter the internet. The internet said that if I removed the Navigation SD card and the system did not constantly reboot then the problem was the SD card. I took out the SD card. Problem solved. I purchased a new Nav SD card on Amazon for $37 and the system works like a dream. I paid Orem Mazda $80 for a software upgrade that did nothing. Not only that, the tech never mentioned that it might be the Nav SD card (which it was). I had to use my friend Google to figure that out on my own. Seems like better training for the service techs might be in order.

These guys deserve more stars. I dont know what they're feeding them but it works. Happy, friendly, helpful, courteous. They're so wonderful I took the time to call the department manager and let him know great job all around.

I think their service is good however I am now skeptical of their services they suggest when you get a checkup. They suggested a few things to get done that would have costed over 400 dollars. Later checking my owners manual it says those do not need to be done for another 40,000 miles, if that.

Great guys, really friendly and helpful. I had my airbags recalled and they also replaced a brake light. I noticed a light on my dashboard when I left though so I went right back and they fixed it immediately. Fair prices too.

They wanted to charge me $120 to replace two air filters (a five minute job) and didn't tighten the battery terminals enough, causing me to lose transmission power while going 70mph on I-15. I was able to limp into a Home Depot parking lot and buy a 10mm wrench to tighten the terminals, thankfully, but I sure won't be giving this place my money ever again.

Outstanding. Simply outstanding. The Service Center treats you like family; from Blake, Ethan, and Luis in the Service Center, to Seth the Service Mechanic. Customer service in the Service Center is their 1st priority. The Service Center clearly break everything down, to the last detail, no hidden services or fees. You clearly understand everything. I had my transmission, fuel injectors, brakes, oil, belt, and spark plugs serviced. Seth the Service Mechanic did an outstanding job. He went over every detail and gave his recommendations for my next service. I drove away with peace of mind. Service was a 10 by Seth, The Customer Service Department Reps was a 10 Ethan, Blake, and Luis. Even the parts department was extremely professional and helpful. Nice people but pricey and slow. Over 3 hours for a tire/oil change when I had an appointment. What’s the point of making an appointment when other services just override yours? Also 120 for filter changes is insane when they cost about 60 bucks for parts. That labor is not worth double cost. Only reason I come is for the free oil. Otherwise there are better places to go.
