Tell you come in Monday I got more cars than I can handle so I say I will be there while standing up a job you just got one day b4 but u thought this one was worth it. Then I come in and they act like they were scared to hire a knowledgeable experienced tech of 18 years with no monkey on my back or nothing just the desire for instant gratification. They lied to me they lie to u.

I have never been more impressed with an auto repair shop. They are quick, professional, and beyond fair. My sons vehicle had some issues and it’s difficult to find someone that can work on BMW/European cars. They went above and beyond to help us.

You know how you do something and say I won't ever do that again, then do it again and wonder why? That's kind of like Kevin's Auto. I have taken a couple vehicles of mine there a few times and keep telling myself I won't do it again, but I do and they burn me again. I took my truck back in October due to a noise on the front drivers side. They replaced the wheel bearing on the passenger side and the noise is still there. I took my car due to white smoke coming from under the hood. They replaced the water pump and told me once I got there (and had already returned my rental on a Friday afternoon) that they found the AC compressor to be bad as well but that they had fixed the smoking problem, then handed me my key. Didn't have the decency to call me to see if I wanted that corrected as well. Here it is Monday and the car is smoking again. Alex at Kevin's Auto on Hwy 80 is worthless and he doesn't return calls. If you have money to throw away they will change parts out for you, just don't expect them to fix the problem.

I got a wheel bearing and rear drum brakes replaced here. They did the job quickly and to perfection. Also the people were so nice and friendly, i don't know what it is but a lot of shops and mechanics act like they don't want nothing to do with you which makes them kinda intimidating.

Update: They helped us get my wife's car compliant with Texas license standards today. I arrived early with my coffee. The horn on her steering wheel wasn't working. They took the keys and tested it and opened it up and determined that the replacement airbag that was installed four years ago for "free" was a problem. They called the Toyota dealer and got a replacement with the new harness for the horn. I stayed in their waiting room. My wife was happy with the cost of replacement and I continued with my checklist to get the car tag for 2024 issued. Thanks. ≈======================= I needed to get my wife's car repaired. Her Scion xB is showing its age. I had a "new" starter installed earlier this year by her favorite Dallas mechanic : the Scion is no longer supported by Toyota so after market parts are available. But Rico told me to find a new mechanic locally... he didn't want to make another trip to Longview to tow it again 😊. So I asked my cousin Denny where he has his Honda sports car in his garage serviced. Another one of those aftermarket specials. 😊 He quickly gave me a name and and address. And a glowing reference. So off I went... well. Kevin's Auto Service now has ONE location. This is it. Very convenient for me. My wife loves being BACK in her car and appreciates it's revival! Boy! What a difference! That work done at Kevin's Auto Service has put new performance in Deb's car! She loves driving her car!

We have a trusted mechanic that always works on our vehicles. He went on a two month vacay! He recommended Kevin’s. It was scary to let someone else diagnose and repair our vehicles. Put a clutch in a Kia soul and water pump on a Dodge RM Pickup. Reasonable in price on both and fixed them quickly. The water pump was spur of the moment and he worked us in and was finished in a couple hours. Courteous and professional. Good work!

This was my first experience with Kevin’s, recommended by my father in law, since I am from out of town. My need? To figure out and rectify the damage rodents did under the hood of two trucks! Yes, that is expensive, but Kevin’s treated me just like my mechanic (of 30 years) back home. Specifically, he treated the job from a customer’s perspective: timely, communicative, and cost conscious. Highly recommended!
