They quoted me almost $9000 for a transmission problem that another place fixed for less than $1500. Charged me for almost $200 to diagnose a problem that didn’t even exist. My transmission only needed some simple repair instead of being replaced which is what they told me. I would stay away from this place. It use to be a honest shop but don’t know what happened.

Needed a flat tire repair. Arrived 15 minutes before closing... a little discussion to provide service with regards to near closing... workers putting in a long day... that said, the Kovac Service team, patched my tire expeditiously and they were so kind to get it done. They prioritize me as a customer to get the repair done for my safety on the road. If I need future repair, service, etc. I will consider using Kovac Automotive.

I have been going to Kovac for over 2 years now and l am very happy with them they're friendly and willing to help you. I will keep going to them. I just got my 3rd set of tires from them today and had my wife's oil changed. I dropped off my wife's car and then my truck for tires. thanks to them everything went smoothly. Today 1/10/26 I just bought my 4th set of tires from them. My wife's car had a flat and due to her set of tires was coming to and end so I called and spoke to Steve and told him what had happen. He said bring it in and they would check it out. I ask about four new tires. He told me the price I ask if the tires was at the store he said he could have them in the morning. I told him to order them I would bring the car in in the morning. I called Steve 2 or 3 times about the tires even doing the he answered all my questions and did not get upset about all the calls and did not rush me off the phone (think you Steve). the next morning I took the car in and the tires was changed without any problems.

He was extremely honest and did not try to take advantage of the fact that I wasn’t sure if my brakes needed replacing. He clearly explained that I did not need brakes at this time, which I truly appreciated. It’s refreshing to find a company and a professional you can trust. I highly recommend Kovac Automotive.

A piece of my bumper had come off and other shops suggested I replace the entire bumper for my 10 year old car. Steve from Kovac was willing to repair for a reasonable rate. If the piece falls off later I appreciate that I was able to try repair before a big expense. His team completed the repair in a few hours!

It's Saturday, a little busy, but that is to be expected. I walk in with no appointment for an oil change the 2-hour wait is again to be expected. I came to KOVAC AUTOMOTIVE because PEP BOYS decided to DOUBLE the price of the oil change with the oil and filter that I purchased. CAPITALISM and CORPORATISM at their very BEST!!! Thank God for companies that still have reasonable prices for the Customer like KOVAC AUTOMOTIVE.🙏🏽👍🏽👍🏽 Review for Kovac Automotive – Davie FL I usually arrive at Kovac Automotive early in the morning (around 7:00–7:30), and within an hour my oil change is always complete. The customer service is excellent, and they’ve always treated me fairly. I bring my own oil and filter from NAPA (about $43 for full synthetic and filter), and Kovac charges me $35 for the service. That puts me at under $100 total for a full synthetic oil and filter change — a great deal. They’re willing to work with you, and from what I’ve seen, they do their best to keep prices fair for all their customers. The service is fast, reliable, and honest. That’s why I keep coming back, and I highly recommend Kovac Automotive for both oil changes and any other repair work.

The shop has very pleasant waiting area. They have coffee and soft drinks. The even offer for the client's massage chair to make the waiting pleasant. I had a coupon for a free oil change when I was a student at a local college back in 2023. I went in for an oil change with my V6 Mustang on May 4th 2023, that I had purchased and outright owned the title to for over 2 months, and had no issues with; I had every service and maintenance record on the car and knew exactly what needed to be done/changed and when. After the oil change, they mentioned that they also “flushed and topped off my coolant”, which I thought was odd at the time, and was right to think so. A couple of hours later on the same day, my engine was smoking and my thermostat was indicating that my engine was overheating. Because of some rookie car mechanic and poor business practice, I ended up having to change the entire thermostat and housing. “Free oil change” cost me way more than it was worth and I would never go back or trust these guys if you mess up a simple oil change.
